Hotel Americana

We reserved at this hotel because of the pool, we even paid extra for a room next to it with pool access. The pool was padlocked shut with no signs of ever being open, the room was dated with a mini split AC that would not adequately cool the room. The outlet behind the nightstand was broken, hanging out of the wall and had exposed wires, a major safety hazard. Breakfast was mediocre, there were no eggs due to “unforeseen circumstances,” in other words with egg prices high they were too cheap to pay for them. The only available protein was yogurt and sausages. The shower head had great pressure but was very low, not easy for a person over 5 and a half feet to shower. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it. The lack of a functioning pool should necessitate removing that amenity from the website, and not charging extra for non-existent access. The only plus is the staff, they were helpful with recommendations and very friendly.

Horrible place to stay. From the customer service to the broken elevator. Outside doors stuck open at night. Our room door had been kicked in before. Broken safety latch and you had to hit it with shoulder to open the door. The Bathroom was dirty with hairs all over. Stains on floor around toilet. The smell in the room was unbearable. The free breakfast was inedible. The coffee was the only good thing. We had no choice but to stay because all rooms were booked in town due to a bicycle rally happening that weekend. Overall. Never again would we ever stay there.

Everything was great. Nice hotel area for small dogs. Centrally located. Easy border access. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Room was clean and well appointed. Good breakfast. Two concerns: Check in took 10-15 minutes, which was at least 5 minutes too long. The pool had not been cleaned and swept for some time, with numerous bugs and leaves floating on the surface, etc.

The staff have always been great when we have stayed there. It’s always been a great value. What made this stay excellent was having EV charging and coffee available before 6 am!

We decided to stay in Americana Hotel for their location, very close to the border. Rooms are spacious, clean, the AC works great. Looks like the hotel is going throughout some renovations and the bar was closed, but overall very good experience.

I had a terrible experience. There was flickering light that no one came to fix, ticking sound from the air conditioning, live roach in the bathroom. Hole in the bathroom probably where the roach came from. Beds are hard to sleep on. No mesh for the window, dirty carpet. Only plus is the breakfast. I do not recommend staying here at all.

Clean and comfortable room and very good breakfast spread. Hotel is older property and some renovations have been made. I would stay here again with no concerns.

The overall appearance of the property felt outdated. Specifically, the room had a noticeable musty smell upon entry. Furthermore, the hallway carpet was visibly dirty and appears to be in need of a deep cleaning or replacement, which detracted significantly from the cleanliness standard.

Excellent room, large and comfortable and clean. TV did not work, they didn’t repair it.

Locks on doors not working

Our room was beautiful and very clean. The linens on the bed were nice. The shower was wonderful with plenty of pressure. The bed was a little bit hard for my liking but other than that it was perfect accommodations.

The beds are not very confty and lots of channels on tv had no sound. Other than that good place to stay.

Breakfast was nice, tho would like a higher fiber cereal option. At 4 in the morning, there was a strong sour/foul smell ( kind of like an old refrigerator) that disappeared after turning off the air-conditioner.

the air conditioning was good, room was clean, so that is what I look for in a motel. When I am in the area again, I will probably stay there again

Good customer service

Very friendly staff. Hotel lobby was amazing. Took several photos in the lobby with my novia (girlfriend). Breakfast buffet was awesome. Had a great night.

The lady at the front desk had us waiting for our reservation to kick in aparently. Kind of bumed because we were super tired and had food we just wanted to tget into our room right away without delay. I tried showing her my reservation and confirmation number but she stated it wouldn't help and we would need tl wait about 10 min. The room was clean large and the price was good and the king size beed was very comfy. Only thing I would I would like to have seen is to be able to speed up check in or no 10 min wait.

Very helpful, professional and personable staff. Housekeeping helped me acquire TV remote control. Front desk receptionist helped me fasten my bracelet. Her help was very much appreciated! Did not like train whistle blowing everytime it went by!

The staff was very kind and responsive. Our bathtub plug was not functional and the front desk person responded immediately! Housekeeping had it handled in minutes and a hot bath in a chilly night felt great! The hotel is under remodel—- so it will only get better!

We always stay here when in Guaymas. It is dog friendly. NIce breakfast and good coffee. Friendly accommodating service.

Everyone very friendly & helpful

The staff and service were excellent. We needed a late check out, and it was no problem. The room was clean and nice, and they put on a fine breakfast buffet. I would stay here again, and recommend it.

Close to border crossing

Established hotel with all the necessities. Courteous, pleasant and informative check in clerk. Clean rooms, ac, Wi-Fi, breakfast and parking included. Walking distance to restaurant and shopping. 13 min to border.

Unfortunately only one night here. What a unique find, from the moment we arrived. A large, bright, art-filled, colorful, non-chain motel with plenty of parking, north end of the heart (they told me) of downtown Old Nogales, AZ. Ask about drinking water; they do offer that. Staff was super helpful when we thought our up-on-the-wall heater would not turn on, offering to come up and look at it. [FYI: "sometimes they need a minute to warm up and turn on"-- ours took well over 15 minutes... but DID turn on, for that rare cold night!] Room was large, and the bed and linens were comfortable. BREAKFAST: A reason to stay here longer! Delightfully different set-up and food offerings, of Mexican and North American foods, and fresh homemade pancakes coming right off the griddle right out of the hidden kitchen every few minutes. There are waffle machines, too, and more. And other than most tables being unusually short for us (a couple were "just right"), it was all in a lovely setting and delightful. Do drive the few blocks around the Old Town and see the old city center before heading back north whether heading to the NW or the NE. This whole place made returning here a very intriguing idea to us!

Stayed one night before crossing the border. Really nice and safe hotel. Truly recommend it.

Great breakfast in the morning, quiet and convenient to getting across the boarder into Mexico. I would highly recommend.

It is close to the border and walkable

It felt very safe and clean for an individual traveler. I would have preferred a room on the second floor.

Quiet place, clean and easy to find

It was after dark when we arrived, and we walked out to find someplace for dinner. In our minds we were uneasy walking as gringos at night, bit the area was clean and people we passed were polite, and there was a Pizza Hut across the street, if we didn't want to venture further. All was good.

Stay was much better than expected because the photos online should be redone. I have not had a better hotel breakfast ever than what is provided here with the room rate (I have food allergies and the selection and quality were remarkable)!! Would definitely stay again. Excellent value for what was paid.

Whenever I go to Nogales I always stay at the Hotel Americana. The staff is excellent and very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is also great.
