The lobby was beautiful and all of the staff we met were wonderful. The rooms were a bit tired, and the TV was malfunctioning, offering only a couple of channels. The WiFi did not work at all in the room. And the bathtub faucet was partially stuck and allowed only very hot water, too hot for using. The pool area was quite attractive, but the pool itself was full of dead insects and debris from nearby trees and other plants.

Nice hotel but internet terrible on some rooms. We asked to move rooms. No elevators if you have to go up or down. Very strange layout of hotel. Staff were awesome trying to make us happy. Restaurant on property was first class.Likely would go back.

Very close to all the fast food places as well as some higher end dining options. Nice pool and green wooded area near it for walking pets. Quick trip to get to hey 19 going north or south to border crossings.

Room is as spacious, comfortable and clean as a 4 stars business hotel and it has minifridge, microwave and coffee maker. Surprisely the restaurant (steak house) is one of the nicest we have been. The only complain would be hotel has not elevator (or maybe it has, but half of it its in remodeling process) so we had to carry all luggage thru the outside stairs in a rain weather.

The room was recently renovated and was clean and comfortable. There were issues..the door key and lock didn't work right, the draperies did not close properly, there was no holder for the toilet paper. Also, no lights in the stairwells so hard to go anywhere after dark. The internet did not work inside the room. That being said, I would try again after the renovations are complete. The bed was dirty, there was hair all over the sheet. It was pretty gross. In the morning I stopped by the lobby to get coffee and the lady told me they had run out. It was like 6:30am and the didn’t have any made??? Not staying here again. La Quinta has better service and better rooms for $65 a night

it was terrible. 1st time there. The carpet was super dirty. Check your windows when you get there because they will be unlocked. TV i super old. channels were blurry and with lines. No cable as it advertises. Directions step by step are given in the even the cable is not working. It says to go to set up on the remote but there is not set up button on the remote or tv menu option so I tried everything and nada! No internet access. I callled the front office, they gave me a password that did not work, seemed to have bo solution. The swimming pool was nearby but fool of families and kids that never left. They were barbecuing So I couldn’t read and relax. My room was close to the swimming pool so it was hart to fall asleep due to people drinking beers right outside their room and pool. I’m the morning I was ready to enjoy my free breakfast, and it turns out that they just have a tiny room for you to brew coffee, some slices of bread and some cereal options and that’s breakfast. No milk, no premade coffee. You help yourself. My key didn’t open my room 3 times because somehow it would get deactivated so, It was 2 and says for me. Oh, and the second day it rain so hard that thunder kept setting of the car alarms. Got no sleep again. So if you are going to Nogales for business NEVER stay here. Actually, I wouldn’t eve stay there again. You really get what you pay for. If you are on a budget go to hotel Americana. They have everything this one didn’t for the same price

Good location , front desk friendly and efficient. Rooms are being remodeled. Room was large modern and clean, however, it was completely finished. No towel bar or toilet paper holder in bathroom.no shelf for shampoo , soap,etc in shower. Hole in ceiling of bathroom. Room was still a great value for the price . I continue to stay here every year the night before I cross the border.

The Mariposa is an older hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff are very helpful. The internet connect was non existant at times and the TV had to be rebooted by a staff member to get it to work. The channels were very limited.

Check in was fast and easy. The room was just ok, however TV screen had flashing and rolling bars on all but 2 or 3 channels The only channels that were clear was channels I never watch. The biggest problem was the microwave oven didn't work and I am required to flush my nose at bed time, every day, with medication in distilled water that is warmed to a temperature equivalent or about the same as body temperature.

I liked that this hotel is very close to Safeway and a few other food options. I did not like that I was given a key to a room with a person already in there. I was given a new key only for it not to work. After the third time it finally worked. The rooms are very run down but the beds were comfortable. If you are okay sleeping in a run down hotel for a night then stay here

When I arrived I was given two card keys in case one didn’t work. Sure enough, first card didn’t work! Good thinking from the late night staff! Great directions to my room, excellent dining spot on location, and the room was cool and crisp the entire time. Thank you!

I requested a ground floor room upon making my reservation because I was traveling with my dog. The hotel confirmed I had a ground floor reservation. I got to the hotel and reiterated I needed a ground floor reservation and I was given a key card, directed to my room where my room. I called the front desk was actually a second floor room and the check-in person told me that ground floor looks over the Grounds. I’ve never heard such a thing. Also, my primary reason staying there was just to spend the night before heading into Mexico and my only plan that evening was eating and watching the NBA game and the TV did not work on only the channel that I needed to watch the volume was all static so I spoke to the front desk about changing rooms because I had to take all of my stuff back-and-forth with my puppy and go to the second floor room. She was kind enough to move me to a ground level room in front of the parking however the TV still did not work.

We stay at Mariposa over night on our way to Mexico. The restaurant is AWESOME and the rooms are cheap for 1 night to just eat and sleep but definitely not a place for anyone somewhat "higher maintenance". Seems like the toiletries are just left if not completely used, like second handish. It is quite though and so far the front desk people have all been super friendly.

Hotel is ok. Old but price is good. The staff really dont care too much about customers. First day i ask to get a room in certain area, and they said no. I understand when house is full but that was not the case. TV is old cable type, no smart tv. Smoke detector was disconnected on my room. I request a room chamge because of the tv, and they said all TVs where old cable type, no smart tv. In fact they said they had a few smart, but they where going to remove them, seems like a lie to me. The worst thingh, i booked 3 nights, but only stayed 2. When i left they did not want to hive me a receipt, they said it was going to be emailed to me a little late that day, and guess what, they didnt. I had to call the next day 2 times, then they emailed to me, but charged 3 nights instead of 2. I called back, they said that expedia has to aprove the 1 night reimbursement, i called back, expedia was ok, then they said they can not reimburse me for the night that I didnt stayed.

Breakfast needs work.. bread yes, muffin yes, waffle yes, butter no, marmalade, jam etc no...so if you like warm toast with nothing on, youre well looked after... This is an older hotel that appears to be slowly undergoing renovation. The property is very spacious and nicely landscaped. It is conveniently located right off the freeway with an adjacent shopping center with a Safeway and Starbucks all within walking distance. Nearby are many eating options. The hotel has what smelled like a delicious steakhouse. I did not have time to eat here but it is on my list of places to try next time I'm here. The rooms are older but spacious, very clean and comfortable. It came with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The room was a bit spartan, not decorative, but it had everything required for a comfortable stay. It was quiet and secure. The staff was kind and welcoming. I'll definitely stay here again!

Location off main drag is excellent and hotel is quiet. Hotel looks a bit shabby from outside but rooms are well maintained and beds very comfortable. No fuss with our service dog. Will stay there again.

I liked the restaurant attached to your hotel, very convenient. The amenity was pretty good too, but the breakfast was pretty disappointing even though it was complimentary... it was for your stuff breakfast, the dirty dishes were in the kitchen sink at the same area.

Made reservation in January for kitchenette with continental breakfast. Arrived 8 months later. Never was told motel was being renovated. No kitchenette or breakfast available. Should have contacted me so I could make other arrangement. Refused any rebate. Told room provided had full-size fridge, but it didn't. No counter space beside bathroom sink. Very disappointed with accommodations! Staff friendly but not very helpful.

It's a great place to stay, it's an older building, but it's well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a great steak restaurant called Caracu with an upscale menu. Guaranteed you'll enjoy.
