The only complaint I have is the pool; there was a lot of sand/sediment/not sure what on the pool floor. It doesn’t appear that the pool gets cleaned frequently; we found a plastic cup on the pool floor. Other than that, we really like the property and our room.

This is a beautiful, beautiful location and resort. However, the pool definitely needs to be refurbished. The tile especially needs to be redone in the pool. The service and the restaurant were amazing.

It was quite serene although we were right next to shopping and restaurants. The sun hitting the mountains at sunset while relaxing in the hot tub was amazing. The pool was heated and just a few steps down you were at Oak Creek. Valet was included and they would drive you up the hill for shopping and eating. Room service was so good! They also called ahead of time to see if we were celebrating something special. All staff were super friendly. The spa service was excellent, however they only have a sauna as their additional amenity, but the relaxation room was nice and had drinks and snacks. They also provided whatever you’d need to clean up with and get ready after as well. They have special packages if you book directly with them, that you should check out, but the Expedia pricing was great! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Both Concierge and Valet services were prompt and polite. Hot tub and infinity pool and fire pits very relaxing. Stairs leading down to Oak Creek. Chairs and benches by the creek. There is a trail on the creek. Don't know how far it extends both up and down stream. Getting to the resort from the street is a bit challenging. Have to go down a steep and narrow driveway to the lobby. Did not use the spa services so cannot rate them. Do not recommend the resort restaurant - Salt Rock Kitchen. Service terrible and food sub standard.

The only place we stay at Sedona now, which we visit most years. The Amara's courtyard seating, with firepits and bar is outstanding on a cool evening. We prefer the Courtyard rooms which are great.

Resort is really nice, my family and I enjoyed staying at the property. the only negative thing I can say, one of the queen beds sheet and pillow case had multiple small red stains, it looked like blood stains. Make sure to check for clean bedding on your arrival don’t check before going to sleep.

2nd time here… first time with snow! Great location, wonderful staff, beautiful resort. On the downside, room this time showed signs of wear…carpet visibly dirty with few stains, some paint peeling in bathroom. Also - VERY noisy location (room 202) - by stairwell & balcony on front parking lot- and at 8 am cleaning crew in full force starting their shift with banging, loud talking right outside our room. Not sure if room condition and location was tied to our booking through Expedia (still $1500 for 2 nights though so hardly a bargain)

Room pictures and description of patio vs courtyard do not reflect that patio is essentially no view. For $300 a night we would expect more the room was a step up from a best western. Plus sheets were dirty when we checked in, sliding glass door was broken and housekeeping walked in on me while changing by knocking as they were opening the door. Restaurant was good but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The property has a lot of deferred maintenance. Exterior paint color of buildings patched in areas, dying grass on the side of the building where our room was, balcony railings are rusted and need painted, dirty carpet in hallways. For a resort of this caliber it was disappointing seeing the condition of the property.

Loved our stay at the Amara resort. So close to the downtown and nestled amongst the beauty of the environment too. Beds are so comfortable and rooms are super clean. Would definitely recommend.

The staff were great - always friendly and helpful. However, property feels a little tired. The room was well appointed but aircon and bathroom fan were very noisy. Room was poorly soundproofed so we hear music playing outside until 10pm and people in the hallway. Corridors to rooms also used to store room service supplies etc. The middle building smelt of pot as walked through. Entrance are to hotel looked grubby and unkempt -this is front of house and so first impression guest get.

Air conditioner was so loud we couldn’t sleep well. We tried turning down the fan speed to low but it was already on low. I have traveled extensively and have never heard such a loud air conditioner. It kept turning off and on with water dripping sounds every few minutes. The hotel was over $400 so we expected to have a peaceful sleep. We were not able to tour Sedona the next day we were too tired. The restaurant was good and the property was in a great central location.

Great location and nice views. Restaurant for breakfast was great. However, the room was VERY disappointing for the price. Walls were extremely thin and you could hear every sound from the hallway and the room next door (who ended up keeping me up until 1am with their laughter and loud talking).

Conveniently located in uptown Sedona and near shopping and dining options. Issue with this property is the walls are paper thin and this was one of the noisiest hotel experiences I have ever had. Hotel staff constantly pushing luggage carts down the hall, vacuuming, patrons walking and talking loudly in halls - literally at all hours. I wanted to like this property but the noise levels made it impossible to sleep and enjoy it.

Our bed was about 5 feet from an outdoor restaurant so we had no privacy and it was very loud. Further, I ordered room service for breakfast. The phone in our room didn’t work (no dial tone) so I called from my cell phone. It rang 30 times and no one answered. So I called the front desk. Nearly an hour later, the food was delivered. There was no spoon for my husband’s oatmeal - only a fork. There was no milk or brown sugar for the oatmeal. There was toast but no butter or jam. We were in a hurry by this point and I didn’t have another hour to wait for corrections. This incomplete breakfast cost over $60. It was ridiculous. I’ve never stayed at a 5 star hotel with so little attention to detail.

An absolute gem! This resort offers great customer service from arrival to departure. The valet team of Matt & Cruz were friendly and efficient. The entire front desk staff and Kat and Raina providing elevated personal service. The room was spacious and daily housekeeping was thorough. Great location, central and walking distance to many restaurants and shops.

The Amara met all of our needs. The location was perfectly located close to restaurants/shops downtown. It's down a pretty steep hill but the valet will give a golf cart ride to the top of the hill. Valet parking is fast, friendly and free!! We enjoyed our patio looking at the pool. The infinity pool is lovely and looks over a pretty creek with a red rock mountain in the background. We rented a cabana for the afternoon. It was clean and comfortable and not overpriced. The staff is easy to communicate with and incredibly attentive. They sent a text at check in that we used to communicate any needs the entirety of our stay. We would definitely stay at Amara again and we would recommend it for anyone in the area.

Amara was amazing! The scenery and proximity to all the shops on uptown was perfect. The staff and service was top notch too. Pool also has a babyling brook behind it with natural views of wildlife that really makes you feel like you’re in nature. Highly recommend staying here for your Sedona trip

People need to be aware that hotel located below street level in ravine and its a bit dangerous to walk up and down. Hotel provides cart service to get people from and to hotel.

A very nice hotel in Sedona. Staff is very attentive. Valet ( which I am not a fan of due to wait times) was excellent in and out. Bar was on point as well. Very centrally located and walkable to most shops in Sedona.

Great location for walking around the shops. I had a comfortable king sized bed/room and back patio. It was too cold for me to enjoy the patio, but I liked the village-like views of the property. I had a 5-star dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed sitting by the fire pits with a glass of wine. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a small "hike" to get to the street, but it's < 5 minutes. I liked being able to valet my car and explore. And the valet has golf carts for those who need/want them to get up to the street. I traveled solo and felt safe walking back to the hotel in the dark watching the stars- loved it!

Location is in the heart of Sedona with easy walks to many shops, res and trails. Food was outstanding at the Resort. We had dinner there three nights and never got bored. Scenic views from the hotel and delicious signature cocktails rounded out visit out. Definitely recommend!

I had an amazing stay at Amara Resort in Sedona! The property is beautiful, and the service throughout the resort was excellent—fast, attentive, and friendly. I also dined at their on-site restaurant (Salt Rock, I believe), and the food was absolutely incredible! While the service there was a little slower than expected, the flavors and presentation more than made up for it. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I can’t wait to return!

Beautiful view from pool. Would prefer waiter/waitress to be poolside. A little inconvenient to order online from code for pool delivery. We had a adjustments needed to items ordered and/or questions, and no one was as the pool bar stand, hardly ever, so had to go inside for service for the most part.
