Upon arrival we were told the pool had plumbing issues so it was closed. The pool was the main reason for the stay, it’s not the hotels fault, but it wouldn’t been nice to offer some sort of discount for the inconvenience- it doesn’t make the $250 One night stay worth it. The room was sub par. The ac was very loud, the ceiling light in the hall wasn’t working, and the drain plug for the bath didn’t work as well. Not worth the $.

I would give a higher rating but the hot tub was broken this time and my kids and I were super disappointed. Otherwise we love this place and Ruby at the front desk is always awesome and friendly.

Had all the amenities we needed right onsite--continental breakfast, fitness room, pool. Room was an oversized king with a full couch and tasteful décor. Bathroom was already supplied with extra towels. Would absolutely stay there again!

My stay went great the entire time. The hotel is very well equipped with enough amenities to not want to go anywhere. My favorite part was the free coffee 24/7 . Would definitely go back if I’m ever around the area.

Just what we needed for our one night stay. The hotel was easy to access right off the highway, and offered lots of parking along the back of the property which felt very secure. There didn’t seem to be much around that was a walkable distance but restaurants and shopping are just a short drive away. The room was spacious and had a nice counter area outside the bathroom. Everything seemed clean! One hiccup is that they offer guest laundry facilities but we’re not able to provide us change for the machines.

I loved the location, free parking, and free breakfast. The breakfast had a lot of food and was delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only thing I didn’t like was the ac was extremely loud.

The gym was very will equipped for what I needed too some equipment would not turn on but other options were available. The staff at breakfast kept everything full would have been nice to have tongs or equivalent to pick up berries. The tables outside had spider webs and dust maybe do a quick cleaning every morning. The floor in our room near the restroom was cracked and needed repair. The sidewalk when you head out the front door and head towards the parking on the left the sidewalk is uneven and a tripping hazard me and my 10 year old tripped but someone older could severely injure themselves. We also noticed many live spiders throughout the hotel that we disposed of. The staff throughout the hotel were all friendly. The room was a nice size and the microwave area has good amount of space and the fridge is a good size.

The hotel is under renovation and it should be noted there is no carpet near rooms on the rm 104 wing. There are nails sticking out of the wall where the baseboards are. The water came out of the shower brown. No good

My bathroom was clean, however, there were open cracks along the baseboards. In the middle of the night, I found cockroaches running from one end of the bathroom to the other. They ran inside the cracks of the walls.

Room was large and very clean. Hot breakfast has a lot of choices and was kept hot and delicious! We enjoyed the hot tub - clean, large and hot . Room had coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Good location and very friendly staff. We had a great stay.

The breakfast buffet is pretty good, but can get crowded in a small space. Parking is included. The hotel room is spacious. The only thing I did not like is that the AC unit is very loud and it kept waking me up throughout the night, which caused me to have poor sleep on Mother’s Day. Boo. Overall, clean and pretty updated room.

The reviews about this property regarding the staff being a certain type of way towards people that book through 3rd party are absolutely true. That’s why I rated this hotel what I did. It was very nice and clean great room! But the fact that the staff is that way towards 3rd party or Expedia bookings, makes absolutely zero sense to me. It was mentioned and somehow brought up when I checked in. And when I asked for a late check out. Very terrible and makes me never wanna stay there again. It’s like they look down upon you for booking somewhere other than through them!

Not good, really disappointed that when I asked for late check out, it was a big fat NO, I call that EXTREMELY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Feel ripped off way to much money for a inferior hotel. Was only there 12 hours what a complete rip off!!!! Would not recommend this location. Have stayed at many Holiday Inn hotels this was definitely the worst experience especially for the amount of money and little time spent there?

People from the front desk service had an amazing attitude, my daughter was in the Ventura marathon and they had bananas and apples set up at 4:30am ( or maybe earlier 🤭)for whoever was in this event, that was very thoughtful sweet ☺️

The response to an issue with a faulty USB connection was resolved quickly without the need to change our room. The Customer Service was Top Notch The hotel Manager was on site and actively involved in all matters of the hotel from our point of view. Our stay included comfortable beds and a very Pleasant atmosphere amoung all staff.

When we arrived to check in our room was not ready. I was told upon check in that they would call when our room which was ready, the hotel never did. The staff upon checknin were not friendly at all and acted thatcwe were an inconvenience. Upon leaving to go have dinner and some errans, we came back to hotel around 8 pm and our room was ready. The front desk was very friendly and attentive, i wish 5he prior staff were as nice as her. We had a nice stay and enjoyed our visit with our neice who attends college there

It was a very clean property. Everyone was super nice, especially the staff during breakfast time. The only 2 downsides during our stay was the front desk personnel during the second day of our stay (that was June 28 Saturday morning) she was really rude. The AC in our room was making a lot of noise that we werent able to sleep during our first night, my mom told her in the morning to inform her nicely, and she had an attitude telling my mom "why didn't you let us know right away?!" without even apologizing. Other than that every body else were great!

Bathroom faucet had electronic control and was not working. Tried calling the front desk numerous times, no answer or line was busy. Went down to the front desk to ask if someone could please take a look at the faucet. Was told it would be taken care of and it needed a battery. We left for 4 hours came back and nothing was done. Had to wash our hands with the bathtub faucet which usually wouldn’t be a huge issue but we are mobility impaired and bending over that far was an issue. When we checked out we were told the maintenance man called out sick. The property was not sold out and we could have been moved to another room. Property needs to take better care and make sure everything in the room is functional.

Cons: A male employee tried coming into my room (317) while i was indecent. I had put the door hanger on the outside of the door to let them know we dont need the room to be serviced, yet someone tried their key and the doorknob to come in. When my fiance stopped the male employee from opening the door, he noticed that the employee didn't even have a housekeeping cart. This was very suspicious because it was 9am and the employee who tried opening the door didn't have the authorization from us to come in, nor a housekeeping cart. There is a leak coming from the closet roof, and all maintenance and housekeeping did was put a trash can under it. Its okay for now, and it seems to be catching water. Just gotta be careful due to the staff saying the electrical is up there too. The fire alarm woke us up at 11pm. I grabbed my fiance and baby and ran out of the room. Once we stepped out and saw the other patrons exiting their rooms, the alarm stopped. We all went back to our rooms. Another fire alarm went off around 3am. Same thing, grabbed my fiance and baby and went out the door. Less people came out of their rooms. Then the alarm stopped. We all went back into the room once again. The last fire alarm woke us up at 9am. This time, my family was the only one out of our rooms. The alarm was a joke at this point. When asked about what happened during breakfast conversations with staff members, a technician said that it wasn't kids or a prank being pulled. It was a technical error.

Although the hotel was nice, the hotel is kind of hidden in the back of the street and it was dark. The worse thing is that there were a lot of homeless living in their parked vehicles in front of the hotel which made me feel unsafe.

The property was a road away from the highway and very noisy. Though it was clean and the beds were comfortable the design aesthetics were down right sterile feeling. No food to walk to. I think I just selected the wrong place to stay.

The property is 100' from the 101 freeway. Our room faced the freeway. The freeway noise was very loud. The air conditioning unit in the room was very loud even when it was shut off. The room was clean and the breakfast was good.

The Breakfast was excellent - probably best in their class and I have done quite a bit of travelling lately! Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. This is an older hotel that is kept clean, modernized in the room with lots of room in the rooms.

We love to stay here, everyone is friendly. Hotel and rooms are always clean. Breakfast is good, however I think the hot food menu needs to be changed up more frequently. Not the same every day. We were there for a week, and it was the same hot food every day. Eggs, omelets, potatoes and sausage. Bacon only one day.

This is a great place to stay close to Oxnard and Ventura. Great location if visiting California Misions. Breakfast included with a great variety including hot items like eggs & sausage, otmeal, etc. Room and bathroom was super clean. Very friendly staff. I will stay here again.
