July 4th weekend and reserved for three nights, after first night the elevator only worked to floor 2 and we were on floor 3. My wife had trouble with her knee and the elevator being out created a problem. Her knee got irritated. We decided to leave after second night. We were charged for the three nights. We believe we should have been charged for two. Other than that the accommodations were excellent and we are a repeat customer.

Building is getting tired, but everything was very clean. Breakfast had many nice options. To get into the parking ramp is kind of crazy, our minivan scraped horribly going in and out. If you have a low car, forget about parking here.

Clean room and comfortable bed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hot tub is extremely small - sitting on the seat, my feet could touch the other side of the hot tub. There are no Sun loungers are advertised - only chairs. The hot breakfasts could be better, but there are tons of other great breakfast items. Lots of dining and shopping, and the ferry to SD, within walking distance. I would probably stay again.

The location is great! There are tons of dining and shopping options as close as a 2 minute walk. Unlike most of the surrounding hotels, parking is onsite, and included with your reservation. They also have a coin operated washer and dryer onsite, as well. If ever in the area, this would be my go to spot to stay.

Liked the location easy to get to with free parking and super friendly staff. The pool was good the hot tub was small but not busy. For a breakfast ncluded it was great and all at reasonable price overall What a beautiful island. Fridge microwave grocery stores close by as well and restaurants including fast food and local eateries by the ferry dock.

Hotel is ok. We stayed 5 nights. Breakfast was mediocre except for Saturday it was great they added bacon and eggs separately to the menu. Beds are comfortable and the hotel is quiet. Had a good stay with the exception that housekeeping didn’t clean our room Friday night. The maid lied saying we had the do not disturb sign on when we did not. They were apparently behind on cleaning as they typically end at 2pm but was cleaning later, maybe she was tired and ready to go home. We also had an invasion of ants and had to resort to putting edibles in ziplock bags. Swimming pool and hot tub need refinished.

We had a good sized room with a balcony. It was always clean. Breakfast had a good selection, though it would be nice if it wasn’t all on disposable cutlery and crockery. The room had a good coffee maker and a little kitchenette, which was nice. The pool was clean and easy to access; the only thing I would ask to improve it would be changing the fence panels to something opaque. When you get in/out of the pool you are directly next to a fairly busy crossroads, and it feels a bit exposed. The area was quiet and beautiful, as expected on Coronado. That said, because of the naval base there are planes and helicopters overhead quite a lot. I would stay again.

Our family stay of adults at this property was Excellent! The location is great & within walking distance of shopping, eating & the bay. The breakfast every morning is absolutely magnificent with lots of different choices. The room was excellent with a great bathroom, bed, TV's & space. Parking was also easy, free, and very convenient with a parking garage. Would definitely stay here again!

Kids loved the breakfast bar and pool. Great breakfast selection. Staff was super friendly. Good value for the price and great room layout for a family with mini frig and two rooms in the one we selected. Overall the room and linens were clean - but room itself could use some attention / updating. For example, hide a bed mattress and sofa itself were stained and very worn out looking, wall paper was bubbled or pealing in places (probably just poorly installed) and doors within the room were sticky and could use a good cleaning with degreaser.

This place is old, not well maintained and the furniture smells like cigarettes even though it’s a non smoking room. Front staff was not friendly or welcoming more the opposite than that. Will not be returning back.

The room service was just not good. They’d start knocking at 8am. They didn’t refill my toilet paper or change my trash bags the entire time I was there. Some of the towels had stains. At one point I had to tell the housekeeper I was in the room 3 times before they stopped knocking. Other than that, the main office staff was very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable, clean room. Windows sorely needed cleaning. Dated carpets, drapes and furnishings in line with age of motel. Early morning traffic onto the navy base (5:30/6:30 A.M. mildly intrusive. Adequate breakfast, though food choices were repetitive. Staff unobtrusive, but responded promptly and efficiently to any requests. Room rates were commensurately more reasonable than the average costs on Coronado Island and this more than compensated for the shortcomings of the motel.

Excellent location! Multiple nights. We had a king room with a separate living room. There was a wet bar, fridge, and microwave. Lots of storage available. Air conditioners in each room were noisy but worked well. Windows that actually opened were nice to catch the breeze. The free parking and breakfast are what actually sold me on the Best Western Plus, along with the otherwise reasonable price. Parking garage is under the hotel. We had a huge SUV so it was a little tight, but no problems. Now. Onto breakfast. It was fantastic. 4 hot options every morning, plus a variety of cereals, breads, instant oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurts, and toppings for everything. Milks and juices. Coffee with many sweetener and cream options. Plus they had snacky items- cheeses, doughnuts, bars, biscotti, cookies, and a whole separate gluten-free section. The service was friendly and prompt, in office, eating area, and housekeeping. I didn't take advantage, but there were bikes available, plus pool and hot tub. We did enjoy the courtyard seating area.

The hotel is close to multiple restaurants, a few blocks away from the beach, and convenience stores. Really good variety for breakfast, love the shampoo and soaps provided. However, the property needs to change the walls, they are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING on the side, underneath, and above. All days of our stay had people on the rooms either above or next to us and could hear them. The hotel is also on a busy intersection, but the traffic noise was not bad.

We really loved staying at this property. It's a bit aged but they take care of it and the value for money is there. The location was just amazing. We could walk to a beach facing San Diego city or a beach at the other end near Hotel Del Coronado. There were so many shops and dining options. The room was spacious and I particularly liked the desk set-up as I wound up having to do some work at night. The breakfast was also great.

The room was nice and clean. The tv however was sideways to the bed. Made for late night watching a little stuff in the neck. 1 mile walk to all the shops on the main drag and it was lit and safe the entire way. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had included in the stay. Will be going back.

Wonderful location on Orange Avenue, convenient to everything in Coronado. We had a spacious room with sitting area and French doors opening to the bedroom. This is not a new hotel, but very comfortable and we stay there every year when we are visiting.

They offered the usual eggs, toast & cereal plus fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, danish & even cheeses. They had a great assortment of soy milks & juices. Convenient parking under the hotel with a short walk to rooms. I'd stay there again. My only complaint is the rooms along the main road are noisy.

This is an ok property but it's very overpriced for what it is. The location alone is not worth the price. The room was spacious but the bathroom was tiny. Comically tiny. There was no view, it was a building and the tops of some large outdoor umbrellas. We were on the first floor which was great because I was staying overnight for an outpatient procedure at the hospital, which is very close. However, the people above us were very noisy and seemed to have children running around the room for hours. The complimentary breakfast was well liked by my mother and son.

We loved the property. The front desk was super attentive. If we needed something they sent it to our room with 5 min. The breakfast area was well maintained and there was a good variety of foods everyday. There was a coffee machine in the lobby that had a variety of specialty coffee choices. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very cozy with a small fridge and microwave. Pool was a little small, but we didn’t have time to even use it. Great stay!

The hotel is in an ok part of Coronado still far from things. Cops were there for someone going nuts I guess. But the checkout process was horrible. Whichever two younger girls working Tuesday around 4pm were rude didn’t even ask questions about our stay. Rooms need to be updated definitely not worth the price tag.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It’s a beautiful area and within walking distance to the ferry that takes you to downtown San Diego. The rooms are great and the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at this price point. The customer service, however, is awful! The check-in person was extremely rude and unprofessional! My room was an hour and a half late and nobody will help compensate me for this time lost. However, I was told that they would “most definitely” charge me if I vacated the room late. When I was finally given the room key, I wasn’t told where the room was or about breakfast service- just given the cold shoulder by a kid who clearly hated his job. You can do better for that price Best Western!

Had a guy yelling and screaming at the top of the lungs for six hours all through the night. The staff did nothing about it. People were calling the cops right and left and still the staff was not concerned. Did not apologize. Did not say we will comp you a night. Also, the rooms are just fairly clean. They have one little nasty blanket and sheets. No other blanket

Great place to stay when visiting Coronado! Free underground parking and free breakfast when it seems everyone else is charging heavy fees for this. We left our car in the garage and walked everywhere. You get your steps in but don't have to fight for space closer to the beach. The breakfast was great and had several options. There are so many restaurants and shops nearby and a ferry to the San Diego waterfront was right down the road. The room had plenty of space to stretch out and relax in between activities. There were four of us and we never felt cramped.

Overall nice stay. The bad thing is rooms 119-122 are next to Third St which is the main road to the military base and there is a ton of loud traffic from 4 am until 9 am.

The location of the property was very convenient for activities in San Diego. However, it is sitting right next to a busy 4 lane road and can not be described as 'Quiet' at any time of the day. That was the only downside to this rental.

I liked the location of the hotel, it was very easy to get there when coming back from downtown area, and was also only a short walk to some restaurants and also the ferry to go across to the downtown area, the hotel was clean and the room was comfortable and spacious

We like staying her because of the location. We like that they offer a free hot breakfast too. However, this years breakfast was disappointing! Only scrambled eggs and a meat was offered. No potato option, there was a green bean, bell pepper and onion mix that was offered. Very ODD for breakfast. They took away the hot oatmeal and waffle maker which was very good in the past!! So it was disappointing especially for the cost of the rooms now. For the price point, the dated rooms and disappointing breakfast has really made me rethink my options.
