Flamingos on property were fun and we loved the food truck party on Thursdays. No beach on site but close by on other side of island with short drive. Easy walk to shopping and dining area on bay. The pool and hot tub area was not very clean and not well lit later in the day. Wifi policy was also confusing. Lots of navy helicopters and boats which was cool to watch. Overall nice large hotel in a good location.

Great location with easy access to the mainland with or without a car. Close by Cornado ferry terminal and quick access to Ubers. The pool and wellness center were great, complete with a heated lap pool and 2 hour bike rental included in the resort fee. Main pool area was also great with pool bar open on the weekends. Rooms were spacious and clean. Would stay here again.

No towels for the pool. Told us we could check in early then waited around for three hours. Kids screaming and crying everywhere. Thought I might mistakenly be at a Disney resort. No access to other pools unless we paid an "800.00" resort club fee. Despite the hefty price tag can't remember the last time I felt such an ingroup/outgroup vibe. I've stayed plenty of places where I've gotten much more for the money. I'll skip it in the future.

The Coronado Island Marriot resort is so beautiful! This is my second time vacationing here. My favorite area is the pool and restaurant. I like that the pool is open at night for an evening or late night swim and jacuzzi. The breakfast is fabulous! So many great options to choose from. Also the rooms are spacious and pretty. Exceptional views of the bay at sunset. Also, only an 8 minute walk to the ferry and a cute waterfront restaurant area. I will stay here again! In my opinion the spa prices were a little high so I didn’t use them but I would have gotten a massage if it was more reasonable.

We loved it! Great last minute vacation. Restaurant had great food. Pool and spa were perfect, didn’t feel over packed considering it’s summer. Staff very friendly and when we called for more towels they came within 3 minutes. I would stay here again.

Overall, this is a great property. We only stayed for 2 nights and it was a busy trip so I know we weren't able to take advantage of many of the amenities that were available to us. Our room was very spacious and clean -- it did smell a little musty when we arrived but that went away by the next day. The parking is a little sparse --- it is underneath the resort so it is secure, but we were there on a night that they had an event so we ended up having to park really far away from where our room was. The location is great -- right off the water and has access to the boardwalk which is only about 10 minutes away from restaurants and shopping. The resort fees were a bit of a bummer for us since we couldn't take advantage of them but I would imagine they are worth it (we really wanted to rent some bikes for a couple hours which would have been great to use in the area but didn't have time). The staff were all very friendly and professional. We'd definitely consider staying here again!

This was our second stay here and it was pretty disappointing this time. The property is old and becoming a little run down. Our room had paint bubbles on the ceiling from a previous leak, stained carpet, the toilet rocked on the wax seal and the safe was broken. The restaurant, bar and resort staff were friendly but inattentive and slow to provide service. Part of the main pool area was under construction so it was loud and not relaxing. Fortunately there’s another pool on the property that was better.

We had an updated room with a second floor deck that made us feel like we were actually at the beach. I used the gym and it was large by hotel standards. The multiple pool areas looked nice, but I took a quick dip in the ocean instead. This place is an historic landmark yet kept very nice. Our room was clearly not a part of the original hotel, but that was our preference. We had a great place to have a glass of wine after shopping and eating on the main drag near the hotel(Orange street).

This place was great (and I LOVED the flamingos!!!). The pool area and restaurant were particularly lovely. The only complaint is the rooms felt a little disappointing vs. the pictures - it didn't feel quite so fresh or clean as I thought it would for the price. Not sure how to explain it - the rest of the hotel felt updated and wonderful except for the rooms. The beds in the rooms felt clean, but the carpets and overall 'vibe' of the rooms was dingier than I expected for the price. I would still recommend it if you are focused on the pool and location and the fact that it is a dog friendly hotel (which is SOOO fun and awesome, especially for pet owners!). Just might not be my first choice if I'm not traveling with a family.

The original room they put us in had spiders in the sheets of the bed. Then they moved us to another room. The condition of the hotel overall needs to be renovated. All of the interior walls look to be original plaster and show signs of water damage in areas. The carpeting was disgusting and felt sticky under our feet, so we just wore our sandals when walking in the room. I don't think we'll go back to this hotel.

The service was great, your people or employees are very nice, great customer service, but your place was dirty, the carpet inside the room was really bad, and the second floor where we stay it was a lot debris on the hallways, your floor needs attention, pressure washer a least every two weeks, depend how busy the hoel is, im a property maintenance manager in rancho Mirage ca, low desert or palm springs area, i highly recomended to put more attention to details,.

The property was nice though appeared a bit aged, the biggest issues we had were not having our room cleaned on two of the three days we stayed there. Our television did not work, and they had no one on the property to fix it. The second day we were there somebody else was given keys to our room and walked into our room while we were sleeping they apparently allow pets on the property and there was a dog next-door that part nearly the entire time we were there

This property is in a beautiful location on the bay. The lobby and external areas are pristine. Rooms are spacious however in need of some upkeep. Our room had a strong mildew smell and the beds were the most uncomfortable I have slept in at a Marriott property. We had an extraordinary experience with staff from the onsite restaurant after several issues with our room service order. Staff went out of their way to rectify all the mistakes and provided a satisfactory resolve without us having to go to management. For the price,I would expect upgraded rooms and definitely more comfortable beds.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in an executive suite. We were in room 231 this time and honestly not worth the extra money. We expected an exact lay out of our 1st suite experience and it was not. The jets in bath didn't work. The air conditioner was mediocre at best. I wish we could pick our Suites. Also, for the most part staff is amazing but both times we have gone there is 1 older gentlemen that hates his job and is very rude and is suffering greatly in the personality department.

This is a lovely hotel with beautiful views. It is located within walking distance to the Ferry Landing and the restaurants and shops there. I was not happy about the nightly cost of parking. The little “sofa bed” in the room was all springs. My daughter could not sleep on it at all. There was no room service available while we were there and the coffee maker in the room was not good quality. They need to replace with machines that make good quality coffee. Add room service and replace the mattresses on the sofa beds before I would say it is a 5 star hotel.

The views are incredible. The staff were super friendly, especially the valet guys. The room was very average. The pillows were absolutely terrible. They were flat and made sleeping comfortably a challenge. We also got a bag of pastries from a bakery on the island and left it on the counter top in our room. When we woke the next morning the bag was full of ants and our pastries were ruined.

Beautiful report The food was good. Bed was really comfortable. The downfall was there was no fan in the bathroom. It was very quiet until our last night someone was above our room and very noisy. Not happy with all the resort fees and expensive parking at the end.

The hotel did not give me the room I paid for. When I arrived they said mine wasn’t ready but that they would put me in a room with two queen beds. I said no and insisted on a king sized bed. Then the room the front desk gave me was a courtyard view when I paid for the bay view. When I complained they claimed orbitz allowed over booking of the bay view rooms and they would give me a credit. Nice room but I paid extra especially for the view of the bay and city. Don’t know who’s fault it really is but for a special night out it’s a little upsetting to not have what was paid for

The stay was wonderful. However I booked the stay for 4 nights (Thurs.-Sun) and checked out Monday. The property had me for 1 night (Thurs). The front desked asked me to return Fri. Morning to add the other 3 nights. On Monday after checking they chsrged me than Expdia did. $300 more. So, pay with Expedia when booking and do not select the option to pay when you arrive. That was the only hprrible part of this trip. Other than that it was very enjoyable.

Paid for 2 second story Coronado Bay front view rooms. My niece's family arrived the day before and the Marriott hotel put them in a ground level room with the view of the back of the swimming pool bar building. NO VIEW except a WALL!!! We landed the next day at noon, turned on my phone to discover they gave away our room and moved us to the Sheraton Hotel downtown San Diego (AKA: Homeless Resort). Hotels.com was able to refund our $1,400+ room fee. Marriott staff tried to blame Hotels.com

The room had an overwhelmingly smell of cleaning products. The tv in the main area of the suite didnt work for a day and a half even though we told them about it right after checking in. Found 3 black beetle like bugs in our bed. All we got was a "thats terrible" from the front desk. Told us we would get some sort of credit but never did. The bartender didnt know how to make an old fashion or a mojito but charged $50 for a poor excuse of those cocktails.

WiFi was slow, also not all devices could, would connect. I work in tech and the only way it worked at all was to pay 16 bucks. Server at the restaurant as rude to my wife, we are on a special diet and cannot have cross contamination in our food. We paid for the kids meals in the restaurant but brought our food in and paid for our drinks. Server was rude and unpleasant. Overall property was clean most staff was friendly. 20 bucks for a microwave per day is crazy…. Everything at this resort cost money LOL. Won’t stay here again I would have been better off at Hotel Del Coronado the room price was bananas as well.

This is a lovely hotel with beautiful views. It is located within walking distance to the Ferry Landing and the restaurants and shops there. I was not happy about the nightly cost of parking. The little “sofa bed” in the room was all springs. My daughter could not sleep on it at all. There was no room service available while we were there and the coffee maker in the room was not good quality. They need to replace with machines that make good quality coffee. Add room service and replace the mattresses on the sofa beds before I would say it is a 5 star hotel.

Great location with easy access to the mainland with or without a car. Close by Cornado ferry terminal and quick access to Ubers. The pool and wellness center were great, complete with a heated lap pool and 2 hour bike rental included in the resort fee. Main pool area was also great with pool bar open on the weekends. Rooms were spacious and clean. Would stay here again.

Very inconvenient to do anything in San Diego. Shared rides cost $20-35 to go anywhere out of Coronado. Hotel was meh - room booked on Expedia faced a parking lot. Room was fine.

We stayed a few days at the Coronado Marriott Resort in late December, 2022. We resided in one of the cottages. Overall, the resort is in a lovely place with lots of opportunities for outdoor activities including walking, biking, and playing tennis. The resort staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast buffet was available only for the weekends. The resort didn't have a coffee place that stayed open in the afternoon or evening. The pool in the cottage area also need more maintenance.

Beautiful report The food was good. Bed was really comfortable. The downfall was there was no fan in the bathroom. It was very quiet until our last night someone was above our room and very noisy. Not happy with all the resort fees and expensive parking at the end.

The Coronado Island Marriot resort is so beautiful! This is my second time vacationing here. My favorite area is the pool and restaurant. I like that the pool is open at night for an evening or late night swim and jacuzzi. The breakfast is fabulous! So many great options to choose from. Also the rooms are spacious and pretty. Exceptional views of the bay at sunset. Also, only an 8 minute walk to the ferry and a cute waterfront restaurant area. I will stay here again! In my opinion the spa prices were a little high so I didn’t use them but I would have gotten a massage if it was more reasonable.

We loved it! Great last minute vacation. Restaurant had great food. Pool and spa were perfect, didn’t feel over packed considering it’s summer. Staff very friendly and when we called for more towels they came within 3 minutes. I would stay here again.

The food at this resort is terrible and offers very little in way of menu. The staff is busier talking to eachother than any guest. It’s $42 to self park your car in a garage daily. The location of the hotel is great, there is great food surrounding the area, and the room is ok. Hidden fees and horrible treatment by staff not worth the visit at all.

This hotel was amazing. The Bayview cottage was so beautiful and peaceful. I’ve come to Coronado for a lot of years and seen this hotel but now that we stayed in it one time I’m ready to make this a yearly trip
