Needs parking

They rented out their parking. That was difficult for guess.

Door keys kept failing, I only stayed 1 night, I only want to be charged for 1 night.Please reply.

First room - door lock wasn't working and took several tries of going up and down 2 flights of stairs before we were given a different room. 2nd room had no tissues you couldn't open the shampoo packets w/out a knife or scissors, and there weren't enough towels. Floor was dirty, bathtub was damaged, and there was almost no water flowing from the shower head. No plugs for laptops/cell phone charging.

Well, it is 50 feet from the 405 and was like a jet running outside the room all day and night. VERY noisy. The towels had hair all over them & were not clean, long black hair -not mine- all over the bathroom, elevator was broken. All first floor rooms were under construction. literally no breakfast. flooring in the room was coming loose. someone smoking crack in the room next door. didn't refresh the room during our 2 night stay. other than that it was great...

My key didnt work i had to go to the front desk 4 times for a new on the paint was peeling off the door and the light in the bathroom didnt work right and the light above the sink was tapped to the wall

the television did not work. We had to request three times during the day and evening until the manager came up and fixed it himself. He was very friendly and apologetic. We did not have enough towels but they were furnished upon request. The lamps were missing light bulbs. On the third request, the manager came up with one and replaced it. All was clean, and comfortable. Because of the windy conditions, the door rattled a lot during the night keep us awake. The advertised gym had been closed down by the health department which was upsetting to our teenage son. Breakfast was a grab and go of juice and sweet rolls.

I stay here quite a bit. It is a reasonably priced motel. It's currently under remodel and once that is done the motel will be amazing. The rooms are decent and clean. The manager is amazing. He is from an area in South Africa where I grew up, so lots to chat when he is not busy. But besides that he always has a smile on his face and makes you feel like you are the best guest there. There is no breakfast. Just coffee, juice and a Danish. There is a gym and pool. Plenty of parking and cable and wifi and free. If looking for an affordable place this can't be beat.

They need to update the La Quinta i would say. Parking is pretty tight. Nice to have dining nearby. Friendly staff.

Room floor dusty. One of trash can was not emptied. Bathroom ceiling rust spots. Swimming pool uninviting. Water doesn’t look like it’s been filtered clean. There was an ironing board, but no iron to iron clothes. Air conditioning not working properly goes on for five minutes and knocks off. Mentioned issue to front desk, but doesn’t seem any correction was made. Front desk personnel were excellent, helpful, and friendly.

Several Cockroaches in the room. Beds that were slanted - my feet were above my head. Cigarette burn marks in the nightstand and on the bathroom counter. Horrible breakfast option.

The breakfast was extremely poor and the room was dirty. There were tiny cockroaches everywhere. Terrible experience.

Omg I’ve stay in crappy places but this place look like the worst of GTA in one place. For the room there was blood drips on the floor , no cleaning at all. The worst place I have visit. Just stay away.

Only handicapped ramp access for entire building is at lobby entrance. Was greeted in our room by bed bugs and cockroaches in the bedsheets. Bathroom lite was nonfunctioning. Bed has hard as concrete.

This hotel is pretty run down. Our room had a lot of mold in the bathroom. The room itself had a slight but unpleasant odor. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. There are hotels in better condition in the area. For example, my daughter refused to take a shower since the curtain was covered in scum and mold.

This room was so gross that we had to leave and book another hotel room nearby. We checked in at 3pm during a torrential downpour, dropped our bags, and went to an event. When we got back around 11pm, I discovered cockroach nymphs and decided that, plus the fact that the bathroom was less clean than most gas stations I've seen, and the room smelled like stale cigarette smoke was enough and we could not stay. The man at the front desk offered to move us to another room - No, thank you. He offered to upgrade us - To what? A room with MORE cockroaches? Nope. We ended up at the Courtyard by Marriott by the airport. It was great. Also, this "hotel" refused to refund our stay...so book at your own risk.

Bugs all over the room and mold. It smelled horrific and i left. They wont refund

The rooms were dirty, the hallways were dirty, the doors to the room were dirty, the sheets were dirty, it was a terrible experience.

It wasn’t exactly what we had anticipated definitely would not book again . Stay was booked for 3 ppl and we only had toiletries for 2 . Towels 2 . Pillows We’re small and lacking . AC didn’t work well so room became uncomfortable and hot for the rest of the stay . Walked in the room very stuffy ,and hot .

Not good, freeway noise was terrible, rooms are old and run down.

No alarm clock, no mini fridge, no modern outlets for tech and the one outlet I was able to access I had to move the nightstand to get to. I was on the opposite side of the building from the 405 but I could clearly hear the noise from the freeway. Tub was stained by who knows what. Also no coffee maker, I can live without many thing but no coffee was a horrible way to start the day. If you're looking for little more than a place to lay your head this might be the place/

Poorly maintained. Multiple issues with the door security.

The pictures of the rooms online DO NOT look like the actual room you get. Upon check in the person at the front desk asked for my name and never asked for my ID, but gladly took my credit card for payment. Typically all other places would ask for ID first. My original reservation was for a king size bed, but when we checked in the gentleman said “we upgraded you to 2 queen” which I never asked for and honestly don’t know if that was a downgrade and perhaps I’m owed money back? The room assigned had huge gap underneath the door that we had to cover with a towel, faced the freeway which was extremely loud and the traffic NEVER died down and kept us up ALL NIGHT. The next morning we asked to be moved to another room because the freeway noise kept us up all night with no sleep and we were told nothing was available. The room was old, dirty, needs a serious upgrade and the bathroom was very questionable as well. This is the first time and never again will I be staying at this place. Come on @Wyndham fix this property and bring it up to your standards and high service levels, this property is NOT REPRESENTING THE WYNDHAM BRAND at all. Please contact me after your review of my comments to see if I am due a refund as I do believe I was downgraded from my original reservation. Thank you!

A/C was not working. TV was not working. Room smelled like someone had been smoking in it for years. Very dissapointed.

Very out dated . Mattress pad on bed only means very old mattress . Not soft . Very stiff

Orbitz's rate is lower than the walk-in rate, but they push you off onto the third floor directly facing the freeway. There were almost certainly rooms available in quieter parts of the hotel, but it seems like they did not want to give those up to people who were paying the lower rate. The chair that they provided for the desk kept sinking and had wheels that would not roll, which they replaced upon request. The thermostat on the heater did not seem to work reliably. The bath mat towel that they provided had dark stains on it, so I was not sure if it was clean or not. The room had been repaired in certain places with low quality work and there were scuff marks on the wall where the sofa chair rubbed up against the wall. Overall, it was a bit run down and not well maintained. The freeway was quite noisy, but fine if you bring ear plugs.

I never checked in. They sent me a text message inviting me to reply with questions. I texted what time is check-in and they texted back 3:00 with a paid option to check in at noon. Again they invited me to text my questions. I asked if it was possible to change my reservation to the next night and that question was ignored. A few hours later I texted asking if just one text question was allowed per guest and that message was ignored as well. I'm done with La Quinta.

The staff, 3 young gentleman who work the front desk they should be applauded for the way they maintain and uphold their business,

The 1st room was not what was reserved and paid for. Ordered a king bed room, received a room with 2 double beds looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Went back to office to request another room (single bed/King) and front desk person said you get what you paid for. Was very rude, kept saying you get what you paid for, kept trying to upsale me to a more expensive room. The property is inhabited by some really sketchy people. Management at this property is really rude, room condition was terrible, linens were stained. Left a day early, wasn’t comfortable staying there.

Got to my room only to find it completely trashed and then the next room we were given had someone already checked in, asleep in the bed. The clerk said oh ya I put my friend in that room. AVOID THIS CHEAP PLACE!

Came down to spend time at the Dog Beach. The man at the front desk was very respectful and made check in with my service dog easy and hassle freee. This place is like an upgraded motel, but they keep it pretty clean. Nice price for a quick stay but not for a fancy stay.

They forgot to clean my room! Forgot to replace towels, shampoo, soap! No tissues or lotion provided! No phone, coffee pot, safe, or writing supplies! Very poor condition room. Very disappointing for a La Quinta property! Management sucks!

The staff were very nice and the bed was comfortable. The staff was the best part of our stay! Unfortunately, one light was broken, the other light flickered/strobing. Only one large towel and one plastic cup provided for 2 people. Since we were attending a wedding we did not discover the towel shortage until it was too late to ask for another one. The vent grate fell of the A/C unit when we turned it on. Small fridge made a whining noise and we decided to unplug it for the night. We would not stay in this hotel again. I expected better from the Wyndham group.

I can’t explain how welcome I felt when I arrived to check in. Glenn has great customer service etiquette and he is an all around genuinely kind person. Makes the stay special (:

Room was clean and comfortable. No complaints! Price was great and conveniently located.

This is a hotel right by the freeway with a Hooters next door. The staff who checked me in was polite and quick. I did not have any safety concerns in the parking lot or making my way to the room. The issue is how much it smelled of smoke everywhere, including in the room. If I had not arrived so late and had an early morning meeting the next day I would have found another place to stay.

The hotel was being renovated. Not a great area (don’t know Costa Mesa had bad areas-). Not a clean room.

Easy access from the highway and lot of shops around for eating and shopping but noisy area .

Do NOT stay in a room on the freeway side. The traffic sounds are SO loud!! We could t sleep all night!

The breakfast is not like other La Quinta's. Just basic coffee, juice, and packaged danish. No eggs or any type of hot breakfast. The room rate should be discounted for what they offer and don't offer.

Not as photos show. Photos are totally deceiving. Property & area were sketchy, unsafe feeling. Next to a Hooters & seemed more like a trafficking motel than a hotel. La Quinta had a good rep before i went to this property. Renos were a quick fix & cheaply done. Not happy at all, so i refused to stay.

It’s fine for the price, but they advertise online that they have a continental breakfast, and I even asked at the front desk if they had that and was told they did. All they had were 20 off brand honeybuns, bad coffee and orange juice. So would appreciate more honest marketing.

Breakfast was really non-existent. No dairy, no yogurt. No bagels, no oatmeal: NO fresh fruit; standard waffle batter waffles, and packaged danish. No cereal. and only juice from machines; no butter for the waffles, powdered creamer for the coffee. Certainly not on par for the Wyndham brand. This building needs to be condemned. The bathrooms are moldy and everything is filthy. Horrible sheets and pillows. The guy at the front desk put us in the wrong room. We had to go back. The rooms are filthy and disgusting. Again. Really, really substandard for the brand. Awful

A decent basic room with a fridge and microwave. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Not much beyond pastries for the breakfast.
