This is our go-to place to stay whenever we’re in town. Check in is super easy, and the rooms are spacious and includes a fridge and microwave. They recently changed their policy for second vehicles is $10 but that makes sense because their parking is limited. For the location and room quality it’s definitely worth it!

The bathrooms were nice and had been newly remodeled, noticed ants in the shower, the bespread looked old and dingy, **room door did not close flush, not hung properly, and light seeped through the door jam. Room was hot, windows were left open and it took an hour to cool the room down. My husband had to walk over to the ARCO just to get us a cup of coffee in the morning, none offered either in room or lobby, which did not exist.

The staff was very kind and the room was as expected! Clean, simple, and great for the price. I will say there is no microwave or coffee pot in the room so keep that in mind if you book.

It's a good location, easy to find at I-55 and Mesa Dr. near Fairview and Fairview the O.C. Swap Meet and Fair Grounds. It's clean, but Spartan, if you don't mind getting your own Coffee in the morning, there's an AM/PM Convienence Store and Gas Station within one block. It's do it yourself, no in room amenities. The Beds are soft though. Next Door is a Best Western Motel, yet I bet they charge a whole lot more. Nothing in SoCal is cheap anymore.

Stayed mid July. I would stay here again. Pros-the inn looks recently renovated. Clean new room inside. Maid service was fine. Directv. Powerful a/c unit. Lots of lighting. Plenty of parking, Good price, close to beach n highway, walkable to restaurant n gas station, 420 store next to it but i didn’t smell weed. Cons-no safe, towels are old, highway across the street so it can be loud at times, little bars of soap n packets of shampoo, no ice machine, staff not the warmest but i could care less, bed is a bit springy and moves across the floor too easily-not good for jamming.

Seemed to be a friendly family who served well. Room was clean; outside of building, somewhat rundown, and grounds were nothing special. Marginal amenities – there was a Refrigerator but no microwave. No hairdryer, no place to hang clothes only dresser drawers to unpack suitcase. Our AC worked fine. Free parking. If you were looking for an inexpensive place just to sleep, but not hang out, this should be OK. Neighborhood seemed fine/safe. Nice wildlife preserve short drive away. Very close to airport.

It's a nice room for the price and conveniently located near a Starbucks and all of the freeways. Be aware that they do have extra rules upon check in, like one car in the parking lot per room and no visitors allowed.

Room was fairly clean. Stairway and railing breaking off. No elevator. Lots of things in disrepair. No ice machine. No hairdryer. Remote doesn't work unless standing right in front of tv. Mattress has stains on it. Sand on floor never was cleaned up. OK if you need a cheap place t stay, but don't expect anything nice.

Despite photographic evidence clearly demonstrating the infestation, the motel staff reacted with complete indifference, dismissing my concerns and refusing any form of refund, even though I had only been in the room for approximately one hour. Room was not clean. Had to request a blanket because only a bed sheet and old bed spread were provided. Towels were dirty and visible hair was seen on the sink and in the shower. Room also smelled moldy. Would definitely not recommend.

The property has a great location. We booked two nights thinking that it was convenient for us to Uber to Newport Beach and other nearby places. Upon our arrival, we noticed the place was dirty. There was some gooey stuff on the floor and the bathroom sink had was it seemed to be pieces of food and toothpaste. We were so tired yah we didn’t complain to the office because all we wanted to do was to go to sleep. We left the room the room the next morning to do some activities, thinking that someone would come to clean the room and leave it in a better condition. Surprisingly, the room was left untouched by the personnel, only the towels had been changed. We were so tired that we didn’t want to walk to the office to ask why it had not been cleaned. At check out I asked why the room was not clean at all and they said it was because cleaning is upon guest request. The only think I like about this place is the convenience to go visit nearby places.

The beds were comfortable. The shower was amazing. The towels were fine as well. Personally I’m not a fan of the old fashioned bedspreads. The only real issue we had was that there was a gap between the door and the doorframe, which allowed dozens and dozens of tiny ants to enter the room and infiltrate my daughter’s suitcase. They are obviously trying but this issue needs to be addressed. In the interim, if you’re booked here, I recommend keeping your bags off the floors and zipped up.

Bed bugs !!!! My legs were bitten and itching for a few days . I would rather donate my blood than being sucked out of me like that :) Checked in late , the whole place looked unappealing and shabby , but I’ve made my reservation and it was the cheapest inn …and it was late Found hair in the bed and clear indication it was not even washed . Changed the room , no hair , but ehh , looked and felt filthy .Bed still did not feel clean . Not super comfortable , but sleep was good ( I was tired too ) . Shower is newish and good . Parking lot is small and stinky . Rooms smell too .

I just had a one night stay, but check was quick and efficient even at 10 o’clock at night, the room was roomy and clean, and had a nice walk in shower (no need for a bath!). Bed very comfortable. Just one observation - no facility for hanging clothes, only some drawers

An excellent stay for the price. The bed was very comfortable. The shower head was strong. The water was hot.The area was quiet. No problem with parking at all. There were plenty of drawers, but there was no closet. The microwave in the mini fridge were great. Check in was quick and easy. Free wifi..

Pulled in and there are very few parking spots available before the extremely low overhead: I’m in a uhaul and cannot fit under the overhead, but a large van has parked sideways taking the only 4 spots left up. Manager is standing outside and I ask him to please have the van park correctly so I can also park. Hes very very rude and says no, “they are sleeping” not sure how he would even know this though. Then told me I can cancel my reservation if I don’t like it (knowing there’s nowhere else for me to park, and it’s non refundable). Check in and go up to room with my boyfriend and kitten. Went down to grab stuff from truck and he, again very rudely, demands I come to the office now. Walk over there and he starts going off that I have an animal in the room and says I have 10 minutes to leave or he’s calling cops. When I booked this room, I had PET FRIENDLY selected as a filter. I sent an employee for a 1-night stay while he was working in the area and he was harassed by the clerk at check-in and ultimately told he could not stay, although my company had already paid for the night. He ended up sleeping in his vehicle instead. I would have given ZERO stars if I could, for paying for a hotel then making my employee leave.

Housekeepers violate your privacy by just coming into your room and no deadlocks on doors to stop them. Then when you complain the rude owners tell you to get out. Rooms are dirty too.

Problems started upon arrival with the owner kicking us out due to being loud it was 2 of us on the balcony on Friday night enjoying a drink later the tenants that lived at the hotel came out telling us we have to work in the morning can you guys keep it down all we were doing was talking amongst friends about a festival we were going to attend the next day. Worst customer service worst welcoming motel ive ever been to never again and i do not recommend.

They've recently remodeled so my room was very modern and clean. The staff there is super friendly and helped me out when I needed a cab. The location is perfect if you are heading to the OC Fair or a show at the Pacific Amphitheater, as it is in walking distance! Will stay there again.

Good location for the cost. Room was clean and had the basic necessities. It was right off the freeway so there was noise at night. Checkout took less than a minute. Take a walk down the street to Dick's Café for breakfast or lunch.

to answer Expedia's questions. What I like about my stay at Star Inn Motel; its close to freeways, highways and right in the middel of the area I need to be. Great rooms, comfy beds every things is clean. They keep upgrading the place. Super staff! What I dont like at staying at Star Inn Motel....nothing really. It is absolutely great.

It's a nice room for the price and conveniently located near a Starbucks and all of the freeways. Be aware that they do have extra rules upon check in, like one car in the parking lot per room and no visitors allowed.

There was no upgrade for USB or C cable charging. Standard outlet only. The decor and furniture were dated and mismatched. It's across the freeway from the fairgrounds and close to the airport.
