Loud road noise makes it impossible to enjoy your room. You can't open the (old screachy) windows for the road noise is even so louder, so you have to choose between fresh air or feeling like you're on the pavement. The room was cleaned below standard, there was some debris left on the carpet, the toilet seat didn't have a paper tape. Shower stall was updated but everything else in bathroom and the room was dated from decades past. Parking lot had remnants of construction material and waste residue. The indoor pool was covered and door to the pool room locked, so don't count on using the pool. We were locked in our bathroom twice as the knob spun without opening, one of us had to open it from the outside handle. Front desk didn't make any effort to compensate us for our trouble. Overall not worth the price.

Perfect for a family getaway. The kids loved the indoor pool, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were very inviting. Breakfast in the morning was convenient and they had a nice little spread. We will definitely be back.

Location was great, however when it came to the breakfast, I did notice the young man that was preparing the food wasn't using any gloves. Lets keep in mind germs spread easly that way with direct contact. Also some fruit would be nice to add. Second the parking wasn't bad, except when another guest parks right behind you horizontally and you have to reverse and go forward a few times. Mind you I was driving a medium size truck and there was pleanty of other parking the other guest could have taken. I parked directly in front of my room. Lastly I did notice there was some mold on the inside of the sliding door where the window and frame come in contact.

No elevator for handicap was difficult getting luggage upstairs. Breakfast should be offered at least 30 minutes earlier. Many people were waiting outside for the doors to open. No front desk staff available when the door was open.

Great location if you want to spend a lot of time at the beach: Pudding Creek Beach is just across the highway. Meanwhile, downtown Fort Bragg is only a few minutes away by car. While the hot breakfast was good, my favorite thing about this property has to be the landscaped grounds surrounding the hotel buildings. It's called "Vista Manor" because the property overlooks the ocean and the creek (see photos). Families with children: note that there are broad grassy yards for kids to run around, and picnic tables scattered throughout the grounds, so you can sit and enjoy the view.

The beach view was about the only positive about the stay. The AC was not working in the room. The carpet smelled like mildew, it was stained everywhere. The bathroom ceiling fan was dirty and clogged. The sheets were polyester, therefore making the bed warm.

Cockroaches at this hotel! Tons of them behind the mini fridge and on the walls near the bed. Cockroaches are nocturnal and we didn't realize our room had any until the next night. Checked out early, as the hotel was fully booked, but wouldn't have trusted even a different room. Overcharged for our stay and infested with bugs. Disgusting!!

My bathroom had urine stain on the toilet seat. When I went to the lobby to tell them, they did not have cleaning service available. The other room they offered was worse so I had to go back to the original room and clean the urine stain myself. Is that worth the $270 I spent?

Our entire room was covered in what I think was a pretty noticeable layer of drywall dust. Anywhere I placed something left an impossible to miss area where it wiped the dust off. There's no reasonable way this could have been overlooked by cleaning crew. Also, the door and/or handle was very particular. I eventually figured out that the door would only reliably open if I rotated the handle upwards while leaning into it. Not a big deal altogether but it felt like some upkeep was lacking. Otherwise it was perfectly serviceable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. No problems parking.

The room was very outdated. The fixtures were worn out things weren't particularly clean. But the worst of it was the noise level. The room was adjacent to Highway 1 and semi trucks went by all night and it was impossible to sleep. Do not stay here if you want to sleep for the night. I will say that the breakfast was good and luckily they refunded my second night.

I like staying here because I can run across the street to the Coastal Trail easily and often do so after work and early in the morning. I think the rooms could use an upgrade. Some of the front desk clerks are nice, others not so nice. I like staying in the rooms with the balconies but they have terrible Wi-Fi and the tvs never work

This was our last hotel out of 8 for our road trip. The bed was very comfortable and the waffles in the morning were great fun for the kids. It was very expensive given the condition compared to all our other hotels of the same rating. The door was so stiff you could barely move it. The door did not have a bug screen either. The view is barely a sea view too. It was just a bit of a let down after a series of really excellent rooms.

The hotel was clean and very comfortable. Very clearly 70s costal vibes but you can tell they recently renovated the space. It didnt feel too dated. There is a front building across from the main building/breakfast area and then a 2nd building in the back, just a heads up as we werent aware of this until we were put in the back building. It isnt nearly as close to the breakfast but its a little thing. Great views! The 2nd building does have balconies tho! Will definitely stay there again. Walking distance to Pudding Creek or an extemely short drive. It is also up a little cliff off the road so it feels safer than the other hotels right on the main road. Breakfast was a waffle machine, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, toast, bannas/apples, and instant eggs and sausages. Nothing fancy but saves money!

Natalie’s the best she s very kindness , friendly and doing her best to make me feel comfortable when I stay there. But 2 old ladies working on Monday so mean , moody talked to me with their strong voice like they wanted to kill me. Room was old but clean. And keycard didn’t work many times. I had to walk down to lobby and changed it.

When I arrived to check in I was told they did not have my reservation and that I would need to contact hotels.com which is very difficult as I could only so an online chat and there was no cell service. After the hotel let me use their WiFi I was placed in a 25 min que while my family waited in the car wondering b what was going to happen. I got little to no help from the live chat person and luckily the hotel was able to give me 2 rooms to replace the large cottage I had booked so my family was split up and had to share beds when we should have all had our own. It was also more expensive for a lesser accommodation. It pretty much ruined our entire trip which had been booked months in advance.

Great experience here. Beautiful view from room 407 onto the bridge and ocean. Staff was great, very friendly and the breakfast was a plus. My wife left her iPad and didn’t realize until we got back home. I called once we realized and they had it in the office and safe. They shipped it to me in Sacramento and I got it back in perfect condition. Great place and great staff. I will be staying there again.

Check in was quick and the staff was friendly. Our room was nice and the view was even better. Had to tip the guy that was making breakfast he was definitely on it and made sure everything was stocked. We would stay here again.

Checked into the room and noticed that the TV didn’t work. We called the office and receptionist just kind of blew us off and then hung up on us. So We pulled out the huge stand and figured it out ourselves! We then in the morning went to walk the trails and came back to use restroom and sit for a min before the drive home and found our door open and room stripped down and we were checked out without knowing ! We only were in our room from 10pm-8am. The positive was our room had the ocean view that I paid For. Room was ok. Could use some updates.

The staff was very very nice and helpful. I had made an error with my reservation and the front desk lady kindly helped me straighten it out. We had a lovely stay and the staff was the best part of it!

All of the employees were wonderful. The building is old so updating is needed and looks like some updates have been done like the shower. The telephone didn’t work and the door handle was awkward. The location and staff were exceptional.

Great location if you want to spend a lot of time at the beach: Pudding Creek Beach is just across the highway. Meanwhile, downtown Fort Bragg is only a few minutes away by car. While the hot breakfast was good, my favorite thing about this property has to be the landscaped grounds surrounding the hotel buildings. It's called "Vista Manor" because the property overlooks the ocean and the creek (see photos). Families with children: note that there are broad grassy yards for kids to run around, and picnic tables scattered throughout the grounds, so you can sit and enjoy the view.

We love staying here. It’s right across the road from pudding creek beach and a hop from town and restaurants etc. great to have breakfast included. The grounds are lush and the landscaping is lovely.

You can walk across the road and be at the beach. On the way back we found out there is a tunnel under the road which makes it even more convenient.

Location was great, however when it came to the breakfast, I did notice the young man that was preparing the food wasn't using any gloves. Lets keep in mind germs spread easly that way with direct contact. Also some fruit would be nice to add. Second the parking wasn't bad, except when another guest parks right behind you horizontally and you have to reverse and go forward a few times. Mind you I was driving a medium size truck and there was pleanty of other parking the other guest could have taken. I parked directly in front of my room. Lastly I did notice there was some mold on the inside of the sliding door where the window and frame come in contact.

This was our last hotel out of 8 for our road trip. The bed was very comfortable and the waffles in the morning were great fun for the kids. It was very expensive given the condition compared to all our other hotels of the same rating. The door was so stiff you could barely move it. The door did not have a bug screen either. The view is barely a sea view too. It was just a bit of a let down after a series of really excellent rooms.

Comfortable room, nice ocean view. Great staff. The breakfast was the same all 3 days we stayed there. It was good . Seems the facility is being upgraded . The bath had a walk in shower where the tub had been. A plus . The key card didn’t work well with the old door lock. Overall , we enjoyed our stay.

This hotel was fine. We’ve stayed at over 10 hotels on this trip all over the west, and this one ranks right in the middle. It was nice to have an outdoor patio with picnic tables and the view was nice. Pretty good location near Glass Beach. Breakfast was terrible, but overall I’d stay again if I was coming through the area.

Older hotel but very clean. Breakfast above average with waffles, eggs, sausage, danish, bread, yogurt and various varieties of milk. Microwave and small refrigerator in room were convenient. View of ocean from 2nd story room was awesome. My son enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool.

The place was clean, except I had to keep reminding the front desk that we needed another towel, an extra blankets light bulb for the blown one on the desk. She kept saying she would get it done, but it took a couple of reminders. Furnishings and decor was adequate but a bit depressing and lifeless colors. Breakfast was less than stellar.
