The beds are very high off the ground and our 5 year old grandson fell off the bed during the middle of the night and busted his lip on the night stand. The pool was freezing - not heated! So there went the swim party. Overall nice hotel and great staff.

Good value for your money. Room was clean and quiet. Hotel is easily accessible being right off the 405. Pool was nice. Would be nicer if there was a hot tub. Parking is an extra $10 / night. Given the hotel location, parking is a necessity and should be included in the room price.

Charge for parking - should be free Breakfast had to be charged to room -should be able to pay with a card People upstairs noisy,car doors outside, horns going off. Get a room upstairs and in center so you dont have to deal with noise. The fitness center was the best I have seen in a long time.

A great overall stay but the hotel chargers you an extra $45 for early check in $25 for a later check out and $10 for parking. So this “affordable” stay wasn’t really affordable. Staff was kind and room was clean and nice.

Carpet needed shampooing, chairs had holes/rips & was filthy. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where I had to pay & schedule an application to have it cleaned! Charging $10/per day to park your auto is ridiculous, especially when you are NOT informed of this when booking or AFTER, a charge appears on you credit card with NO explanation. I had to talk to 3 different people before I was told it was for parking.

Property is old and out of date. There is no hot tub. I have stayed here six times in the last year and there are things that are broken that have not been fixed and six months, including the ice machine on the first floor, which has no crate on the bottom and hasn’t since I stayed there last summer. Also, the TVs are old and everything is just a little rundown. The staff is not super helpful and this hotel is always trying to up charge you and never give you the room. You actually paid for if you were on a third-party reservation, claiming that they can’t control what third-party promised you at their hotel. If you get a good price, this hotel is adequate to sleep at but if you have a family or or with anyone, you’re trying to impress, steer clear of this hotel and stay across the street at the Ayers Suites which pays attention to detail and is very concerned about their customers comfort and overall experience. The staff at this hotel is lacking training at the top and has a no cam due attitude. Other staff like cleaners and housekeepers are fantastic.

Horrible Property !! I will never stay again!! They Advertise a bar and restaurant.. The bar closed - no bartender. The “restaurant “ did not have a chef , so no hot food . I was able to get a muffin & coffee at a counter- the muffin was still mostly frozen.. No maid service .. and on top of all they charged $10..00 to park … I’d used this property hit several years when it was a Marriott Courtyard- This change to Sonesta is a disaster. I expected more and got far less. Never again..

We really enjoyed the beautifully kept grounds and the view of the pool from our room. We had a suite and thought the layout was good. We had to lower the star rating due to lack of cleanliness and maintenance of our room and the halls. It was very apparent that most surface areas, including the toilet and shower, were not cleaned at all prior to our arrival. Possibly mold growing in the bathroom likely due to the fan not working; also, our room smelled like mildew. You can see in the hallway where dust had settled on the ceiling where the air vent is. There was more than this, but you get the idea. This hotel can be amazing with a more stringent cleaning plan and some good old TLC.

I woke up in the morning turned on the lights in bathroom and there were 2 roa hes on the toliet. Tried to discuss this with the front desk. No one was there at 6am. Dropped my room key in the drop box and ran out of that place

No coffee in lobby except for sale. Went down this morning at 10. Coffee was closed. Elevator floor carpet was filthy. Hall carpets worn and soiled. Room was clean. Checkin was friendly and fast. Give it a 7 ½ out of 10.

This hotel has cockroaches. They were aware and sprayed the rooms with pesticides but still rented out the room. I had to leave in the middle of the night after seeing a cockroach craw out of my room.

Sadly I wanted this to be a go to Orange County / Huntington Beach property for our family but a massive dead roach on the bathroom floor in the morning made this a non starter - worse than that neither the property nor Expedia are offering anything for the awful experience.

I didn't notice that most of the rave reviews had to do with how close this property is to the beach. We found that the place wasn't particularly clean (including a dead roach when we first got there). The bed was uncomfortable. The front desk didn't pick up two of the three times we called. We couldn't get the wifi to work. I didn't like that they would only clean the room once in seven days unless we paid more and even then, we had to change out our own towels.

I thought it was okay, the room set up was strange, the room was very small. The tv was on the side of the bed, on top of the vanity. The couch was very very filthy with many stains, it smelled old and like cigarettes in the room…

The property is ok to spend a night or two, no more. It has no conveniences, as a restaurant on premises. Also, service is not good. Staff at the front desk are not to friendly, or helpful. You also need to have better room cleaning services. We had to request a few times for them to come and clean the room. Also, you have to notify them 24 hours in advance. Even with advance notification, they failed to clean. We had to complaint, especially that we were staying there a whole week.

When I first checked in, the key didn't work for my room. After trying a second key that didn't work, I was given another room. All good so far. On Saturday evening, when I arrived at my room after spending my day at an event, I found that my key didn't work for my new room. I checked with the courteous lady at the front desk and she found that my belongings had been removed from my room and the room given to somebody else. All of my stuff was stored at the front desk. The front desk employees were very apologetic and courteous, but didn't have an explanation for why this had happened. A replacement room was found and I was promised a follow up call from management. A week later, no follow up call from management. No communication at all.

DISLIKES: * No daily service for room cleaning (every 7 days to receive service or an additional $45 per day for cleaning). If you want clean towels you need to bring your dirty towels to the front desk to exchange (now I’m working for Sonesta without pay just to get clean towels). If you aren’t going to receive service everyday or get new towels when you want than the rates should NOT be the same every day. They should be discounted. * The carpet are dirty in the rooms ( I had 2 rooms) and nasty throughout the building. * There was a horrible smell in the room. The maid service personnel did NOT comprehend English. LIKES: *Customer service when checking in with Bill was good and when getting new towels, Stephanie was very friendly & polite.

Took 2 hours & 45 mins to get checked in / horrible customer service / front desk staff didn’t know how to properly check me in & take my security deposit kept wanting to run my card multiple times & over charge me. I showed him my email that the payment went through. He proceeded to have me sit down while he helped others check in. The next day the same situation I went through 4 others were going through the same process & lobby was left unattended & reservations were canceled due to incompetent staff practices. Horrible never will come here again or recommend this hotel.

I like that it centrally located. You can to to South Coast Plaza or New Port for shopping. Viet town is near by. Place is quite and you get your rest.

Center location, I can access easily to Disneyland, go to the beaches, shopping, etc. Very noisy due to near I-405, breakfast was not so good especially when coffee and foods ran out 15mins before closed and no one bother to refill. Food seems to be limited but please not limit the coffee.

For the price this property is fantastic. It had everything that we needed, including a nice lobby area for working on my laptop. I don’t like having to pay $10 for parking. One car should be included in the price of the hotel.

I did not have wi-fi most of my stay. Since I was there for work, that was an issue. My room had no bar soap in the bathroom only the shower gel in the shower and no bath mat was provided. The bar and food area has limited hours and was only able to provide bakery items as the “chef was not there”. It was very disappointing.

Didn’t like the room I selected. I selected a king size with a folding bed but the folding bed was not comfortable for the children. The room was too cluttered with furniture and didn’t work well with the folding bed/couch. Bathroom sink was a little small for me, had to use coffee area to finish getting ready. The cleanliness was good. Amenities were good but no complementary breakfast available. We had to pay for parking which wasn’t convenient
