I had reserved this room specifically to use the pool as our trip was going to be a hot one. Just show up and have them tell me as I'm checking in with the pool out of service for the weekend. Why could this not have been relayed on this website if I would've had a heads up, I would've gotten a different hotel.

We got the last room at the last minute, it was one of the handicap accessible rooms near the reception, that seemed like it might have been more basic and unappealing than other rooms elsewhere. We probably paid a high premium for being last minute so it felt way too high for the quality of the hotel. But if you get a decent rate and just need a place for a night, I'm sure it's fine. Parking was crowded.

Second night was cancelled even though we had added another night. We were told we would have to move rooms after the first night. So we chose to leave. Pool was not available and there were no charging ports for phones. But room was nice and comfortable

The room wasn’t bad. It was clean except for the shower curtain. The neighborhood was the bad part, several transients are right across the street. They would yell at people as they walked by. Breakfast was good except when I got down there at 9am there wasn’t much out. The hot tub was being resurfaced so we couldn’t use it but the pool was nice. For the price, my stay was affordable and adequate.

Got stuck in traffic on I-80 and decided to go down to Grass Valley for the night. Found out that the person who stayed in this room obviously had a dog and didn’t pick up after it! I was too tired to do complain about it, so I grabbed tissue, picked it up and flushed it. I recommend the hotel find out how that have could’ve been missed since the bed was made, so housekeeping had to have seen it.

Booked king room on app. Didn’t have king room no big deal gave me a Quenn double. Walked into rom and it was dirty and 90 degrees . Took 4 hours of AC to cool enough to sleep . Parking lot was noisy all night long. Paid 200 dollars for room that should have been about 60 bucks. Would rather of stayed in motel 6! Do not stay here !

Breakfast was very nutritious. Great choices of breakfast items. Breakfast area was clean. Staff were very friendly and courteous. It was rainy and too cold for a hot tub use. Over all room was very comfortable and clean. Happy to have a microwave, refrigerator & coffee maker in room. Very satisfied with our stay here!

There was very little food available at 715 when i left for work, I was told the night before that everything would be available at that time. Neither door key worked until being reprogrammed. Pubic hair in shower, longer hair in sink. Hot tub was not hot.

Even though we were right next to the on ramp for the highway our room was still pretty quiet - did not get woken up at all from the car noise. Staff was very nice and helpful. Only complain is my feet getting dirty from the carpet!! When my husband mentioned this at checkout, the team member was not surprised. Come on management, if this is a repeat offense, PLEASE take care of it and clean the stinkin' carpets!!!!!!!

I never stayed here because it was extremely dirty . When I arrived they said i needed to wait 40 min , to get the room . i took pictures upon arrival and told them I didn’t want to stay there . The room looked like it had been living in and they just put new bedding sheets but there was hair in the drains , soap scum and the toilets and drawers were dirty . It was disgusting.

The breakfast was good except they didn’t have oatmeal or bananas which I wanted. They did have almond milk which was a plus. We were happy the hotel was dog friendly but were totally grossed out when we found some dog doo under one of the beds.

If you want a bare bones hotel room to sleep in, then this is your place. The room was clean and there was breakfast so I’ll give it that. However, there were no charging ports to be found in the room and their electrical outlets were loose and barely functioning. The room was either too cold or too hot, the mattress felt like it was from the 1990s, and we didn’t even get maid service. In fact I only saw two people on site ever at any given time that seemed to work there. It it has potential but that property needs a lot of love and updates before I would consider staying there again. Don’t waste your money.

The room was shabby and dirty. My husband and I shared a queen bed with a crater in it. We both were hanging on to the edge to stay out of the hole in the middle. It was a terrible night. Upon check-in, the lobby had a terrible smell. It was like moldy citrus. We did not dare have breakfast there the next morning. Such a bad experience!

Front desk was very responsive to requests for blankets, towels, taking trash away. I was here for 4 nights due to power outage in my area. It was quiet in my room, neighboring guests were quiet though this is a pet friendly motel. I was working all day online and had no issues or loud noises interrupting me. My room was clean, stocked with plenty of towels. The king bed was VERY comfortable!!! This is not a luxury hotel but basic amenities, cleanliness, staff responsiveness and friendliness were great. No complaints.

The room wasn’t ready until 420. Check in was 3:00. I had to go sit in my car for 1 hour and 20 minutes. It was horrible and I will NOT ! Go to another Best Western again. I will tell all my friends not to go to one either. Horrible place

Did not receive the room we booked (single room instead of suite), replacement/substitute room smelled of cigarette smoke, and I have still not received any acknowledgement of a potential refund. Front desk staff informed me on the morning of 11/28 that I would receive a call from the manager by noon. it is 10:42am on 12/1 and I still have not received any communication from the hotel management.

The room smelled like wet dog and their weren’t enough cover for the bed. While we were sleeping at 0230 they had double booked our room and the other party was trying to get in. They went and got the manager and actually got the door open! If I didn’t have the door lock on they would have gotten in and then who knows what would have happened. I checked out first thing in morning

We had a terrible check in experience. We called ahead and they assured a late check in. I had a work meeting in Zoom and required to stay until noon instead of 11. Wouldn’t have stayed here if that weren’t possible. When we arrived and re-confirmed we were told they couldn’t guarantee it. When my partner went back down to try to talk to them in the office, the front desk staff person started swearing and saying they never guarantee late check out. He then called me in the room and said he was going to call the police and then hung up on me. He kept pointing and shouting at my partner. It was appalling behavior. The general manager finally got involved and said they’d take care of it. We’ll see if we continue to have issues tomorrow upon check out. We will not ever choose to stay here again.

Toilet in room was broken. Reported at 9am. Returned at 9pm to room still not fixed. Had to use the restroom in by the front desk. 3:30am someone attempts to enter the room using card. Desk calls at 3:45am asking if we are in the room. Find out they assigned our room to another guest. In the morning we realize whomever was in our room to repair the toilet the day before took a bag of dirty clothes and towels for no known reason. Very unorganized, although food was good and the room was ok except for toilet.

This hotel was in a convenient location, safe and had an efficient, friendly staff. The hot tub was awesome in the rain. I really appreciated it. The breakfast was great and the attendant was so friendly. The only aspect I didn’t like was the metal frame on the bed that made a clanking noise. It was a little to firm for me-but I know I like an extra soft bed. I would recommend this hotel with their excellent t staff anytime you’re in the area!

We arrived at 9:00PM, with our daughter. The outdoor hall lights were not working. I had to use my cellphone light to find the number of our room and light our way to the room. We all felt very unsafe. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. There is a large unhoused population in the area.

Carpet by sliding glass door was sopping wet; a/c condensation?? Large area. If that is regular occurrence, I can imaging mold growth is ramped. The breakfast should be fully served and available until it closes. Sunday, 9:45am, no biscuits, no hash browns, 1/4 pan of aged eggs, 2 of 3 cereal containers were empty as was the waffle batter dispenser. The “welcome” sign in the lobby exclaims the front desk’s willingness to help yet when I went over to the desk to point out that a number of things were not available, I was told it was 10am and breakfast is over. I said I had been there for 15 minutes and none of the above had been replenished. The front desk woman said, I’m not the kitchen staff. Ok, I understand that but why not go tell the kitchen staffer that people are complaining and a number of things are empty?? That was not done.

I have stayed at this hotel for work. It has been a great, clean, reasonable priced option as a place to return to each night. It is great to have the breakfasts included and available so early. Nice to have a bakery and grocery store across the street. I will continue to stay here when I am travelling for work in the area.

We stayed here while visiting Nevada City, and this Best Western was convenient for both towns. The free breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices of proteins. We also liked that there was a comfortable chair in the room with an ottoman!

The guy at the desk, Sebastian, was super helpful and friendly. The room was very nice (but the carpet needs shampooing). The pool & spa were great. Breakfast got boring because it never changed in three days.
