Stayed 1 night

This was our second stay here, we booked it again as it was a great price and we loved the amenties -the 'library' and bar, restaurant. Unfortunately it wasnt very clean, the shower was filthy and there was short black curly hair stuck to walls in the shower, plus smudges all around the walls (I wiped one of the marks to see if it was stained and it came off easily). After they "cleaned it" the marks were still on the walls. We only stayed for one night and had an event so didn't spend much time in the room or would have requested a room change. We also requested a car park and was told they had run out of tickets, but we could just pay for it at the carpark building itself and it would only be $32. unfortunately it was $50 instead, so was a shame to be told differently by the staff. The design and vibe of the place is really cool, so hopefully with some training and proper cleaning it will improve.

Stayed 2 nights

Really dissapointing check in experience. We booked, and immediately messaged the property requesting a cot and a carpark, and let them know what our arrival time would be (after midnight). The staff member working when we checked in told us we couldnt have a cot, and said that the carpark was closed, when I asked again, he said we could access the carpark (its the carpark across the road so no idea why he was rude about it). He didn't give a reason why we couldnt have a cot so we had to have our 2 year old in bed with us, which is not ideal. I also had to ask him 3 seperate times for a second room key. While we were checking in, three lots of hotel guests returned back to the hotel and said hello, he barely acknowledged any of them. The next morning (we stayed two nights) we went back to reception to request a cot and it was no issue, which leads us to assume the night shift team member just didnt want to put in the effort to take one up to our room - noting that we had requested this at 6pm, so there was plenty of notice. The room itself was good, nice to have a seperate living area and kitchen facilities however the bathrooms are absolutely tiny and theres a lot of cupboard/draw storage space which makes no sense for a short term stay. The positives: The library downstairs and the bar/restaurant are great, the amenties are brilliant so it's a shame other things let it down.
