I liked that it made my family feel safe, security and the everyone was friendly!!!!! Didn’t like the fact that I get charged every day for parking a car while I spent on a room, and that there wasn’t a sit down smoking section but overall we enjoyed our time there!!!!!!

Basic and disappointing for a Marriott. Booked & paid for a king, got a queen, was told this was because they are "ADA compliant." Seems like bait & switch. Bathroom door stuck so hard you had to shoulder check it to open and made an awful sound, bathroom not cleaned properly- found hair and an old used, dried out soap bar on the tub. Pool area clean, but no pool towels available and the hottub jets broken. We told a maintenence person, who said they'd look into it, but got a radio call and had to leave, problem not resolved. Returned after our event that night and a large, loud group was protesting the large police presence staying at the property. Asked front desk staff if this was normal for the area, staff responded, "no comment, they have the right to privacy." Hot breakfast options were very nice and the breakfast staff were friendly and keeping the area well stocked.

Pool was not heated as stated. Hot tub was not working the whole time of our stay which was terrible for my kid who tried to swim. TV Netflix was also not working in the room which was also not good for my kid. Very unsatisfactory amenities.

I was a bit disappointed. Our refrigerator was super loud like the compressor was going out. Staff was amazing and nice. Front door to the office was broken, laundry room had 3 of 6 washing machines out of service, and 2 of 6 dryers were out of order. It was disappointing to see everything in the laundry area run down. I have been a regular Marriott patron, so I was surprised to have this experience.

Landscape was green and lush. Daily breakfast was good. Staff friendly. Full kitchen and space sufficient. Iced flavored water and coffee always available. Ice maker did not work. Pool towels not stocked. Maintenance needed for tv to work. Jacuzzi bubbler didn't work first day.

Our unit had spiders and other bugs throughout the week we were there. We were on the ground floor and there was quite a bit of noise above us. There was vomit in the parking lot outside of our unit the day we checked in. And when we left 5 days later, it was still there.

This property was not as convenient to the port as they had led on in the property description. I also had to drive a good distance to get quality food. This hotel was not up to Marriott standards and it was quite dirty. There were black hairs all around the room and bathroom (my family has blonde hairs), there was a used bandaid attached to one of the shower bars, and we found multiple spiders/bugs around the room. This is the first time at a Marriott that I have actually had to look for bed bugs as that’s the vibe the cleanliness gave me. I was going to get pictures of two other spiders but they scattered before I grabbed my phone. One was behind the curtain by where my son was sleeping which was even more worrisome.

First off, I had a pet friendly room but it smelled like dog pee. Second, the linoleum in the kitchen was dirty. I walked around with socks on and my socks were black by the end of the day. The bathtub handles fell off when I tried to turn on the water. The first day, the netflix kept timing out, then it was not working completely for the rest of my 5 night stay. The TV's date and time changed back to 2014 on about day 2 so I could not see what shows were on "the channel guide". I reported the TV issues to the front desk. For the netflix, they said one of their routers were not working. This is a couple hour fix but at the end of my 5 days, nothing was working. I reported the time/date on day 2 or 3, the tech came to my room and said I needed a new box on the back of the TV, but he never came back.

Cleaning needs to be improved as I found the trash left from the previous renter. Housekeeping needs to triple check the rooms when clean them as I found trash next to the bed and another trash behind the couch.

Upon my arrival I had to switch rooms, being my room had roaches. The 2nd room I moved to, had TV issues. The manager didn't seemnto care about the roaches. I'm sure that wasn't the first time addressing an roach issue : she seem unfazed.

Run down. Urine stains on toilet, fingerprints easily seen where no cleaning was done, & fridge had hair in it. Thank goodness I always bring disinfectant. Front desk with unsolicited comments…only stayed 1 night to break up traveling time.

My king room was very nice and recently remodeled. It had all the amenities I needed and more. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet. It did take a bit of time to find my room. I noticed some other guests also having to hunt for their rooms the next day. I helped one couple. This would be the only area I saw for improvement.

I struggled with the overall rating. All ratings were at least very good but the main drawback is the road noise. The property is in close proximity to a busy road and the freeway is very close. My unit was near the busy street and the clowns on loud motorcycles raced by too often. The service was fantastic and the rooms were very comfortable and did not have the usual hotel layout. I also had a kitchen, which was great. I am guessing the room was recently remodeled. If possible, try to get a room away from the Wardlow Rd street. Also, go for a second floor to limit the noise above your room. It is a comfortable place and with the exception of the noise, I enjoyed my stay.

We got in early from the airport and were extremely tired. The hotel allowed us an early check in which was very convenient! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room had everything we needed and was very clean. We will be staying here the next time we are in Long beach California! I highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

The front desk gentleman, Justin, went above and beyond for us. He was very friendly and asked about our plans. Based on that, he gave us priceless tips for our events we were attending. We will stay again and recommend it to our friends traveling to LA. We chose to stay there versus LA, and I’m so glad we did.

Careful if you are used to a certain standard for Marriott Residence Inns. This property seemed run down and not well taken care of, and looked more like it was a long-term rental property rather than a hotel. We booked a reservation on Expedia on our way to Long Beach, only to arrive and have them tell us they had no rooms to give us. Incredibly frustrating and professional, especially late at night when it's difficult to find somewhere else to stay. Spend the extra money, drive the extra 14 minutes, and stay at the Marriott Residence Inn DOWNTOWN Long Beach. So much better, and worth it.

We went to drop off our daughter to the University and we stayed to be close to the CSULB campus. We enjoyed the spacious room and the continental breakfast provided. The hotel overall was well maintain and staff was very friendly. We will definitely recommend and we will come back again!

My wife and I really like our stay, check in was fast and staff was friendly. Room was bigger than we anticipated, easy parking. We really liked the location right off the freeway too. The cherry on top was the free breakfast that was pretty good, saved us a lot of time before we checked in into our Cruise.

3.5 stars Pros: Friendly staff Cleanliness You can request extra services via their app (housekeeping, extra towels) Cons: Most breakfast items tasted terrible and/or old Crappy coffee, which is true at all Residence Inn locations No kettle to boil water in the room The "unlock your room door" via the app feature rarely works I'd recommend staying somewhere closer to 2nd or 4th St in Long Beach to be closer to restaurants, shops, nightlife, etc

The breakfast was great. The staff was friendly. My room was clean. I especially loved the convenience of the lobby "pantry". After a long day, I was able to grab a frozen dinner and take it to my room. That convenience made a big difference to me one night.

The property was safe and clean. Bed was comfortable and quiet. Well maintained. A disappointment is the free breakfast. There wasn't much to it, we expected a bit more to it. Unfortunately, the parking comes at a cost, for the amount of the room, the parking should have been free.
