The hotel is clean and the staff is nothing but friendly, but I have major issues with some of the infrastructure and service. I am disabled, and was there for an event being hosted throughout the weekend. It was really fun, but the handicap lifts are in complete disarry, I got stuck on the lift multiple times, each lift works differently, locked me inside, and other such things. I am lucky to be able to walk short distances. If I wasn't able to use my legs things would have been much much worse. On top of this, the handicap elevator was constantly being used by people who werent handicapped or by staff as a cargo elevator, making using it a nightmare when you see 4 people huddled into an elevator made for at most 1 person in a wheelchair and their loved one. I also have an issue with service at this hotel. Everything is an app, call the front desk to order room service, they say use the app, I use the app, and it doesn't work because their wifi is swamped due to the event, so I call them again, they put me through to the hotel bar. Use the app. I say I can't, they put me through to the kitchen. Use the app. I can't, so they put me to the front desk. Repeat ad nauseam. Either fix the app or let us do it the old fashioned way. The hotel is historic and beautiful, and the staff has been great otherwise, but I can't recommend this place to anyone handicapped until they fix their infrastructure.

everything was fine except the parking. four different people told us different information, and we ended up paying more for parking than necessary. i tried calling the hotel to issue a refund but they never called back. would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the parking.

This is a beautiful hotel and the pictures throughout showing the history is fun. The only downside was the indoor pool was cold! The pool was the reason I booked here, so that was a huge bummer.

You can tell it was once a truly grand hotel. They had a ton of staff, so they had the manpower to be great. They just chose not to be. So lame. - The Good The hotel common spaces are beautiful and grand, classic 100+ year old elegance. - The Bad - The pool... just no. In the basement, feels like a basement, kinda dark and not in a cool moody vibe way, pool looked a little green, not a single staff person to be seen. Pool was used in one of my favorite movies.. still was not willing to get in it. - The staff was short, not very helpful, and one person was outright rude. ( everything else would have been a non issue if it were not for the staffs attitude ) - The room was basic, much closer to what you might expect at a cheap holiday inn or lower. - Did not get my Hotels.com VIP benefit from - Have a random $100 charge that I am still trying to get details on. - The hotel bar, also a beautiful space, had average drinks as top tier prices. I expect drinks at a destination or high end hotel to be expensive, but I also expect a well crafted drink at certain price points. So I expect a dive bar to have a $8-10 drink that taste like a drink from a dive bar. I expect a hotel to have the same quality of drink for $12-$18. At $25-$30, I expect an exceptional drink. If I can get a perfectly crafted, complex cocktail, complete with edible gold leaf, in an upper Manhattan lounge for $27, I think the Biltmore could do better than dive bar drinks for $25.

Great location on downtown LA, beautiful hotel, has gym, pool and bar and restaurant, do not recomment breakfast if you have to pay cause it's expensive and not worth it but service is really good. People its kind and warm, self parking available 50 dlls per day you have to be aware of weekends it's full if there's event, only thing on our room was a bathroom leak but for the rest was really nice hotel to stay. Walking distance for disney concert hall, finance district and good options for breakfast and coffes nearby.

Conveniently located in downtown LA, the Biltmore is near many dining options and areas of interest that can be easily accessed by foot or multiple means of transportation. The hotel has an exquisite lobby and ample areas for concerts and other get-togethers. The room we were in was spacious enough for the two of us, but there was a small ant problem in the bathroom. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay at the Biltmore and would consider staying there again, if the chance ever arises.

Our double queen bedded room was a good size, beautifully clean, and well equipped with a mini fridge, ice bucket, coffee machine, tv, usb charging points, hair dryer, safe, ironing board & iron, and mini toiletries in the bathroom. The beds were very comfy. We enjoyed 2 lovely nights in the room. The public areas of the hotel were mostly stunning, old Hollywood glamour, except some bits were slightly faded glamour. The corridors on the bedroom floors are gloriously carpeted, but were so long and empty, they also reminded me of the corridors in The Shining! Stick a painting or mirror at the end of the corridors and it'll feel warmer. However, the reception lobby had wonderful sofas and carpets and looked brilliant. And don't forget the ceilings and balconied area that made it feel we were in a chateau, or even a style magazine! We didn't eat at the hotel, but we did interact with some of the housekeeping and bar staff. All were very friendly and courteous.

The bathroom had mold on the walls. I see this a lot unfortunately in hotels. I don’t stay at super cheap hotels. Besides that, the hotel was super cute and the room was really nice. Just not so pleasant shower.

Upgraded to a suite, well worth it. More room with full desk, dining table, even a wet bar. Beautiful hotel, but downtown LA is busy and noisy. Windows are original single pane and can be noisy street side.

Great vibe, nice staff. Beautiful, historic hotel. Issues mostly you often find in an older building: hot water in short supply for showers, accommodations showing age, etc. Small room. Super convenient location to Downtown LA venues. You just have to be careful where you go. Appreciate the heightened security.

The room was clean and spacious with a comfy bed and a decent bathroom. A little street noise was coming in through the window but that was minor and understandable given it is a heritage building. The hotel seemed well maintained in general and the staff were friendly and professional.

When i arrived i was shown to a room that had someone elses unmade bed and dirty bathroom. The most limited apology was given and i was shown to a new room. The shower pressure was poor and the room smelled old. I emailed the hotel manager who replied to say the duty manager would be in touch but this didnt happen. I tried to order room service 3 times but it didnt work. The gym and pool are good but the rooms are dated, my shower temperature panel flr example was upside down. The location of this hotel is pretty useless for visiting LA. Overall probably the worst hotel ive stayed at, and ive not left a poor review previosuly. The customer service is kon existent, the rooms are data and the location is hopeless. I would avoid at all costs.

The checkout personnel was rude. I was trying to check out and she would ignore me. When one of her co workers walked up she started socializing and still ignored me. Then she said I’ll be right with you give me a minute so she has me wait till she was done socializing and then she helped me. Rude!! I loved the hotel but the staff killed the hotel experience.

The staff at the front desk made us feel unwelcome and did not give us any details about the property during check in. During check in, she did not bring up the fact that I was eligible for a room upgrade as part of my VIP Benefits. I checked about the upgrade and she gave me a room upgrade unwillingly. This is not the service I expected at such a premium hotel at all.

Pros: It's a really pretty historic hotel. Location is also convenient for DTLA; easy to get to the Metro, etc. Cons: Service was not that great. I called ahead because my travel companion was arriving before I could get there and I wanted to add his name. Also, because of a change in who was going with me, I mentioned I'd booked a room with two double beds, but would prefer a King if one was available. The guy on the phone was super friendly and said he'd change the reservation accordingly. However, at check-in they still gave us two twin beds. Also, I'm OneKey VIP and I didn't get anything to redeem for the 20% off of my one Food & Beverage purchase. I will say, however, service in the bar was very good. Our room had no view to speak of, but also the windows were extremely dirty. Finally, they had urns of ice water in the lobby, but when I went to fill my bottle the first two times, they were empty (ice, but no water). I asked the front desk the second time if they could be refreshed and he told me that wasn't his job and when my companion asked, he begrudgingly gave us two plastic bottles of water (which I was trying to avoid hence why I had my own bottle). The next morning the urns were gone completely.

There were some mixups at the sign in- I had arranged for a late checkout and was told at the desk it wasn’t possible, but after showing the email saying it was ok, it got sorted out. The day i was leaving, there was a very large group of young people attending a mock trial convention of some kind, and the lobby was a zoo, and it was impossible to get help at the desk. I called the hotel while waiting in the very long line for in-person assistance, and the hotel operator took care of my issue immediately so I didn’t have to wait in the line. I really appreciate that. I understand hotels can get busy, and sometimes everyone needs everything all at once. It was nice that there was an option to help me even though the people at the desk were obviously slammed. The hotel itself is gorgeous (and smelled REALLY good too). My room, while small, was very comfortable and pretty. The lounge was maybe a little small and overpriced for what they offer, but it was still convenient when I needed it. I was hungry around 9 and tried to order room service through the QR code menu. I couldn’t make it work, and the desk told me I could go down to the restaurant and order it there and bring it back up, which I didn’t want to do. The lounge had some little snacky things that were really more what I wanted anyway, so it worked out well. Overall, I would come back and recommend it to friends.

Hair in bathroom on arrival. Dirty single pane windows- noise from nearby concert was intolerable and the concert didn’t end til 11pm! Traveling with young children who needed to go to dodger camp the next day and couldn’t sleep due to noise. Dining was awful! Literally one restaurant in the bar and no vegetables on menu- no salad at all. Not what I expected in LA. Property is run down and needs a renovation badly.

Fantastic stay centrally located in an building steeped in history and glamor. All staff was kind, friendly and many have a history of working there for many years. This place makes me happy. The craftsmanship and architectural details are to be cherished as should the staff. It's 100 year old building and it is in downtown Los Angeles, take that into consideration and don't expect The Four Seasons in Beverley Hills. I would be happy to stay here when next in town. The bar downstairs and food was also solid.
