Baymont by Wyndham Monterey Park

Parking was a little tight because I had rented a big SUV. I couldn’t get down to the second floor to park. Employees were super helpful by letting me park in employee spots. They could have made me park out by the street but they found a way to make it convenient for me and my family. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Parking is made for little cars only.

The state was good!! It would be nice if it had a bar-restaurant!!! But overall it was good.

Didn't like the fact that my car was stolen.

For an 8/10 rated Wyndham branded hotel I expected a higher end facility than this hotel provided but this hotel did a good job at all the basics. It felt more like a well run Days Inn. It was clean. There was free parking. The internet worked. There was a breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon or sausage (depending on day), potatoes, bagels/toast and waffles. There facility had no restaurant or bar but you could easily get dinner from app delivery services or go by car to a restaurant. I rented a suite but was moved to a standard room part way through my stay because of construction. I asked for a bill at checkout to confirm I was charged correctly after the room change to a less expensive room but the front desk said they were unable to provide that because I booked via Expedia. A detailed receipt came in email from Expedia later but because I am no longer at the facility it is not as easy to discuss questions with them.

Parking garage is under the hotel, VERY easy access, especially for LA! Nice, clean, and safe!

Strong smell of marijuana while walking in the hallways on the second floor. The elevator was broken and guests had to take the stairs. Limited amenities.

There was a cockroach in the bathroom 🤔. I didn't tell my wife because she would have freaked out. Rest was OK.

The room was clean and smelled nice, the service was excellent and the breakfast was very good ( though a variety of tea would be nice) but the hallway from the elevator to the room smelled really bad upon arrival but was fine in the morning.

Spotless rooms. Great staff.

Bathrooms were dusty, pillows were old and bumpy DONT get me started on the parking garage. Cereal, milk and oh were okay.

Saw a cockroach in the room as soon as we enter.. room has a stinky smell though manager offered us another room. Breakfast was just ok.. long wait for 1 waffle maker

Nice place for staying for a fast trip. The room was big but unfortunately we found some dirty towels and dirty linen that compromise our evaluation. The breakfast, even if it had a large menu, was a fight over other costumer as not everything was always available.

Love it..I stay every other week for work in LA .....love it there very peaceful and clean...

Floors was sticky and shower has mildew on walls

When we got there, the service from the front desk was amazing. They were welcoming and helped me. The room when we got there was okay. The floor was very dirty so we had to walk around in shoes. Our socks got very dirty if we didnt. There was still balls of hair on the floor in the bathroom from the previous guest. But our stay other than that was good. Thank you very much.

The facility was clean and staff were friendly. I would stay again. Parking is limited to below grade(6’ maximum vehicle height). The room I was in (347) had sliding patio doors that faced the highway. The inactive leaf of the door was misaligned, leaving a 1/4 inch gap near the top that allowed the highway noise to transfer into the room.

Our hotel room is very noisy as it faces freeway and power line is right in front of our room. The traffic noise is constant as it is so close to the freeway.

Bed are comfortable, but most concerning the noise right above our room. Hear a lot of walking/running in the middle of the night while we’re sleeping.

WiFi did not work the whole time. Door has large gap when close outside light coming in at night.

Quite noisy, can hear upstairs walking and even when I walk the floor vibrates. Need more noise insulation. Plenty of parking space but need some skills to park into the spot.

They never had internet service. They said it was down when i arrived and it was never fixed. I dont think they have it

I've stayed here many times before, but this time it didn't feel good. The big room is close to the road, and the window is not well sealed. The traffic noise is very disturbing, and there are also the sounds of chickens in the morning. I was woken up before 6 a.m.

This is a good clean room great friendly staff the only negative thing I can give them is the thin floors (my roof)or heavy walker that was above my room.

We stayed here for one night and did not get a good sleep at all. The walls, floors, and ceilings are so thin, you can hear everything. The ceiling kept squeaking due to just the person above us walking. You can hear doors slamming left and right outside. Other than that, the room is decently clean, parking is easy, and location is convenient.

The staff was friendly, enthusiastic, and efficient. The parking was free, underground, and convenient. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

I’m always greeted by front desk in a friendly manner no matter the time I check in ( I come from out of town so sometimes I get in pretty late) great choice of breakfast options .

Everything was great except the check in ahead process. I did the check in ahead process which required me to upload my ID and credit card. When I got to the hotel, thinking I could just get my key and go to my room after a long work day, I had to do the whole check in process again. The lady checking me in didn’t seem to want to deal with my questioning of the checking in ahead process either.

Long story short, I checked in on Monday about 4:00pm and I checked out the same day at 7:00pm. My room was in a corner and right next door to me, there was another room and across from me was another room. Needless to say, I didn't feel comfortable because of my neighbors next to me and my woman's intuition told me to leave. I didn't care about losing the $126 I paid for the room but was assured the $100 deposit fee would be returned to my card. Earlier today, June 10th, 2025; I received a call from a man named Walter.He informed me that the bank was declining the refund and it would not go back to my card. I immediately contacted my bank, and they informed me that the issue was on their end—they were entering the wrong expiration date. According to my bank, the expiration date used was 00/01, while my actual card expires 05/27. When I called Walter back, he insisted that the system uses the information already on file and that nothing is entered manually. However, my bank sent me a screenshot clearly showing the incorrect expiration date entered. This raises the question: if the process is fully automatic, how did such an incorrect expiration date get submitted? Walter promised to call me back, but I have yet to hear from him. Meanwhile, the $100 has already been pulled from my account by the hotel. At this point, I am feeling very uneasy about the situation. If I do not receive a resolution or follow-up call by tomorrow afternoon,I will be forced to initiate a dispute

The room was impeccably clean and offered ample space for our gathering. The brand representative was exceptionally helpful and courteous, creating a comfortable atmosphere where I felt at ease asking questions. His professionalism and personal touch, such as addressing me by my last name, added a thoughtful and welcoming element to our interaction.

Terrible customer service, very strange place.

The staff was very friendly and made the check in and check out process easy. There is a parking garage for parking which makes it safe for your car. The bedroom was clean. I enjoyed my stay and would come back.

Breakfast was constantly running out and the two breakfast attendants were incredibly rude, gossiping/trash talking about guests in Spanish. Room was spacious, clean enough and basicallg what you expect for the price.

Never checked in. Front desk employee was rude and obnoxious.

Clean, location good.

I was visiting due to a funeral. The property was close to relatives I was visiting, which made travel a snap. After touring the neighborhood, I discovered several shopping and dining locations within a short distance. Very quiet and affordable. I will be back in a few months for my brother's wedding. I plan to stay at this same location.

A very nice, easy to find hotel in a good, safe setting. We stayed there an accessed Santa Monica, LAX airport and Hollywood with relative ease - 30 mins or so each.

The location is good, easy accessible to freeway.

Clean place, great service. Breakfast is 6AM-10AM all days which is so good, most places end at 9AM. Checkout 12PM instead of 11AM which is great as well. Good location, 20-30 mins drive from most tourist spots and 15mins from downtown. Highly recommend!!

Very close to a lot of fast food, restaurant, grocery stores. Easy access to freeway.

I went to their breakfast room at about 7:30 am. Only fried potatoes and muffins available!

Very clean and comfortable. A bit short staffed on the comp breakfast so food was a bit slow being supplied but that also meant hot & fresh

We had a good stay. One thing i miss, since we have stayed there several times, they used to make scrambled eggs for breakfast and they seemed have stopped. Go back to scrambled eggs. Other than that it was all good.

Since the breakfast area was crowded I decided to take my breakfast to my room, no problem. They next day I wanted the same and the employee said I couldn’t even though I did the prior day. Instead of arguing I found a seat and rushed thru my breakfast. Other than that the attendants for the rooms and the front desk were exceptional!

The place was decent except don’t expect to take a hot shower after a long day and was reprimanded by the maid service for trying to bring a bagel upstairs to the room for breakfast was told no food could go upstairs.

The property is definitely not a bad none. It’s not perfect but we didn’t find any problem at least. The parking is little tricky but works. It’s not super clean and modern but pretty decent. The breakfast- I took this after seeing the review. It’s hot breakfast but can definitely use some help. Items are filled very conservatively after a good amount of wait. The yogurt and other things are limited and there is zero variety. Decent breakfast but boring and lacks variety. Even for milk we had to wait long.
