Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms

Friendly staff, hot tub was broken for almost a week.

The breakfast was delicious everyday. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. I will stay again if I ever get back to California. I loved that we were very close to the shopping areas and only two blocks from the beaches. The pool is the perfect size temp and depth, and most importantly clean. The hot tub was hot and clean. I enjoyed our stay immensely.

Yes the rooms were definitely clean the staff was awesome and friendly. The wifi was great and the gym was spacious and fresh the AC was perfect inside there.

It was a beautiful hotel. Only thing is there was some stains on the sheets and towels. We wish the pool was actually heated pool like it says it is. We loved our stay and our family that stayed with us also had a great time and enjoyed their rooms.

The only issue involved the rear elevator. It wasn't working for my entire stay & it happened to be right next to my room. Other than that, it was one of the best BW Hotels that I've ever stayed in. Had everything that I needed. I would highly recommend this property...

Our stay was great but the only thing is that our card kept getting deactivated and beds were not comfortable to sleep on. Having the breakfast and I would stay there again

The hotel did not provide a 24/7 gym. The gym doesn’t open until 8am which is too late! This is an inconveniences and will definitely not be coming back.

Room keys horrible dont work, they need to change the system.

I had a great time, didn't get to the gym as I preferred to be outdoors, pool area lovely and well equipped, breakfast wonderful, rooms spacious, even had a sofa and footstool. The fridge and microwave make all the difference. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and easy location between main road, near the freeway and couple of blocks from the beach. Would return for sure

Roach crawled on bath floor . The dispenser in shower must be broke. There was no way to get it to dispense a reasonable amount to use the liquids. We even asked to have it fixed and it was not. The bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was good. Jacuzzi was nice , parking was fine. Staff were great. Roach in room and the dispensers not working would nix me from coming back again I feel

The hotel had a smell to it which made me worry it was clean but it was clean it just the smell was so strong but I couldn't put my hands on it and the lighting in the hotel was horrible nothing like the pictures online very disappointing and breakfast was also not good 5/10

Very clean place, can walk to the beach, and it was quiet, and the staff was very helpful!

We stayed for one night for my son's soccer event. The room was spacious, and the breakfast was decent. Our only complaint was seeing a cockroach near the kitchen area in our room. We mentioned this at checkout, and the receptionist said she would report it to the manager. I hope the issue is addressed and that room cleanliness is improved.

Nice front desk staff, great breakfast, good location, very uncomfortable beds, old motel (the photos make it look much better),the walls are thin and I could hear the people next to my room making noise at 5am till 8am.

We picked this property because it was well reviewed. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and hard. The pillows were mush. Housekeeping did not come one time and when we asked for a one hour late check out we were told they charge $30 for it. I have never been charged for a late check out.

Bed was comfy. But hide-abed was terrible. Needs new mattress.

Rooms are very dark even with window blinds open. Lighting improvements could be done. Paint colors could be improved. Breakfast room could use a better wipe down. Seemed like everything I touched was sticky. Tables and chairs. Staff was great. Location good. Yes I would stay their again.

One night stay was fine. My issue is the lighting. How dark can a room be? Although there were 3 desk lamps, and 2 ceiling lights, the room was so gloomy and dark. It was very depressing. An update should be scheduled for these rooms. I did the 2 full beds with a kitchenette.

Our room was very hot over night. We had the AC down to 60. It would kick on every now and then and is very loud. The beds were comfy. The staff was friendly.

The lighting in the room and bathroom was terrible. It was very dark. In the bathroom the lighting was impossible if applying makeup. Very disappointed with the room.

Enjoyed the room with the Kitchenette. Perfect and spacious for a family of 4. Very close to the beach as well.

I used to book on Bestwestern because I love their very heartwarming welcome and staffs are really helpful but this Bestwestern got me disappointed. First, we weren’t greeted welcome when we arrived at the lobby. The guy who helped us didn’t even have any information about the WiFi, breakfast etc. he just ask for my ID and credit card then hand us the card keys and told us our room number. Then, going to our room is a hallway that smells like a strong detergent and there was a cleaning lady on her phone which I guess vacuuming the floor. Lastly, during breakfast, we came like 930ish and the regular coffee isn’t available. Also, the yogurt that I’m expecting for my son is empty and I ask the lady about and she just said, that’s all we have and left me. Well honestly, the room is neat and clean but the utilities like soap, lotion and conditioners are almost empty.. so maybe I won’t be booking my next hotel here..

The staff were very efficient and professional. The room was very clean and well organized with plenty of towels and toiletries. The breakfast had lots of options and was kept very clean and tidy. As soon as someone left the attendants wiped down the tables and had it ready for the next patron. The food was kept well stocked and ready.

Great breakfast, clean room, friendly staff

Breafast was good. Our room was clean, but had to go down to the desk everytime i left my room because my key card wouldnt work. It was an inconvenience for sure. They werent very friendly with it either or apologize because of it. Verh rude actually!

My family had a terrible experience at this hotel. Traveling with 5 kids we booked 2 rooms. We went out with family 1 evening for a few hours and when we returned we found our room door open, someone elses clothes thrown on the floor and my sons clothes taken and my daughters toiletries used. The manager was nothing but abusive to me. He denied anyone coming into our room and said he had reviewed hours of footage. When i demanded he address the issue of us not feeling safe he told me there was nothing he could do and we could leave. When i questioned his customer service skills he then "evicted" me and my 5 children. I filed a police report. Me and my family were then left to book another hotel room last minute which was incredibly costly. The manager is still denying a full refund or any accountability that his staff let people wander the halls and break into rooms. He is a liar and does not care about your family. Its clear. I was offered no apology but futher victimized after my children experienced an incredibly traumatic event. Here is a pic to prove he lied to hotels.com stating he reviewed 6 hours of footage. Once the police got involved they suddenly found the footage of someone entering our room after mark 3. Funny how things change when you get caught in a lie. Give your business somewhere else that wouldnt "evict" a family after they were robbed in a city they dont live in. Horrible.

The staff was very helpful from checking in to check out. Our room was always clean. The Wi-Fi connection was great. Breakfast was pretty tasty. Something for the adults and kiddos as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

No hot water for our entire 4 night stay, staff was not seem to really care about solving the problem. Property is just so so, would not stay again

Feels more like a truck stop than a hotel. It’s on a noisy, busy street in a rough area. The room looked clean but had a bad odor, as did the elevator. A housekeeper tried spraying the room and curtains, but it didn’t help. If you just need a place to sleep, it might do—but if you’re looking to enjoy the hotel and nearby beach cities, I wouldn’t recommend it.

We enjoyed the Oceanside beach and fishing pier because they are so close. We rode our bicycles because it is such a cycling friendly place. The hotel is very nice and the staff are friendly and accommodating. It’s a great central hub for your Oceanside vacation.

Very good property at a reasonable cost. Easily walkable to both the beach, restaurants, etc. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Not a great location as it's difficult to get into the parking lot. Hotel overall was ok. Convenient to restaurants and bars. Staff was friendly upon arrival. Someone kept unlocking the backdoor into the hotel which was pretty sketchy.

Stayed two days and really can’t complain. Good hotel and great breakfast

The handle on my door was kind of loose and it took me several attempts to get inside the room each time I left. No USB outlets in the room, but the AC worked. The TV has two remotes for some reason, but everything was clean. Breakfast buffet is rather small. Easy check in and out.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast had many food choices and was very tasty. My room was large, clean and comfortable. It was wonderful to be able to open the window and enjoy a nice breeze! I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this property!

The only thing I was very disappointed in was the breakfast, went down at 6:45 am and the bacon was GONE! when I asked about getting more bacon I was told they were out and only serving sausage (which didn't look like it was cooked all the way) so I only had a bagel...

The hotel itself isnt bad. The only down is at breakfast the staff dont clean/whip the tables outside. I asked them to damp a paper towel so i can whip my table and chairs. The floor was dirty too, i don't think they sweep there.

Stay was smooth-checkin and facilities were excellent. Minor quip but the breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired on our first day which was a week day. The weekend buffer was better
