Great check in experience with a very friendly staff member. The Inn has a nice pool & hot tub but not useable. The hot tub was green & dirty however the motel didn't close it, they allowed guests to use it. Not very sanitary.

This location is close to many stores that we like. It is close to a couple good restaurants and our favorite coffee shop. It is less than two miles from the beach and other attractions. The pool and hot tub were in working order. The food in the breakfast room was good. We stayed in room 235 and the bed is not in all that good of shape. We choose this hotel because it was close to our family members.

Convenient location with decent parking. Walls were pretty thin - the room across the hall had their TV pretty loud the first night and I could hear it from my room as well as conversations in the parking lot as people were getting into cars. The fitness center had a few machines that were broken but otherwise was ok. Breakfast 'buffet' was a hockey puck egg, hockey puck meat patty, some pastries, cereals and a waffle station.

Good overall choice. Rooms were clean comfortable and quiet. About a 20 minute walk to the beach. EV chargers were all out of service. Breakfast was very good.

While sleeping my wife and I woke up at 3am and found a cockroach on the center night stand. My wife called to let the front desk know about the issue. Spoke to the gentleman in the front desk about the situation and he told us he would his supervisor know and would receive a from her.

Hotel is horrible. Carpet is old and smells bad, moldy. The hotel location is not good, right by the highway. Homeless people can walk right in. Extremely disappointed and not worth the 500 I paid for 2 days!!

This room was absolutely disgusting. From the burns in the carpet to the horrendous smell in the room. My wife and I went to dinner. We opened the window and turned the fan on in hopes the room would air out. It did not at all air out. In fact, the smell got worse. We packed our things and went home.

When I first entered the room it had a terrible smell to it but unfortunately couldn’t open the patio door because the room was on the corner facing the stairs and you could smell the outside where people were smoking. The location of the room had no privacy because you could see inside the room when waking up the outside stairs . The bathroom had a weird smell to it like it had been cleaned with dirty water. Not comfortable at all.

Carpet, tile, all surfaces were clean. Room did not smell! Sheets and bedding clean, mattress comfortable. Furnishings were in good shape. Complimentary breakfast was better than expected. We kicked ourselves later for having forgotten to leave a tip for housekeeping!!!

Room was great, except internet. I couldn't connect to the wifi most of the time. I ended up using most of my data in the 3 days I was there. I was told Saturday night that someone was coming on Monday to check the internet to help with the reach of the wifi to room 131. I'm sure that wasn't accomplished. This was the most disappointing part of the whole stay. I believe compensation is in order.

The walls are paper thin. We could here everything around us. May we suggest simple written instructions on the AC/Heater operations. Could not get ours to work right. We are still overall very satisfied with our stay. Thank you.

Value is what you get for this place. It's not the greatest. Far from it but for the price, it's difficult to get a better hotel in the area. It's relatively clean. The AC works well. Breakfast is fantastic with lots of choices. Location is fantastic. And the negatives, a little bit of poo smell on our second day. Not sure if it came from our room or adjacent. Walls and ceilings are paper thin. You can hear the highway and you can hear people on top and next to you.

Right off the freeway, still pretty quiet. The biggest problem I have with this property is the light on the balcony. What good are blackout curtains if the light from the balcony bleeds through the sides? I thought the sun was out all night. Either give me a light switch to turn off the balcony light or make the curtains wrap-around to truly keep the light out.

It’s small. The doors, front and sliding glass, have seams in them where you can see the light and hear everything within 50 feet. The air conditioning is a small machine in the wall that uses a remote and it’s set on Celsius not Fahrenheit. The tv is big. The hotel/motel is close to the freeway but nothing else. Just a one time stay for us.

The hotel is on the older side, but it's clean. Arnold at the front desk was amazing!!! We (regretfully) booked with Expedia -- huge mistake, they completely screwed up the booking, as usual. Arnold called Expedia and worked really hard to get everything cleared up and get us into our room. 4/5 stars for the hotel, 5/5 stars for Arnold, 0/5 stars for Expedia. They truly suck.

Front Desk concierge Rubio was rather unpleasant. He somehow had the audacity to correct me, the customer, and instantly made the customer, myself, feel heaven forbid awful. I was almost ready to cry after his scolding. I am highly upset He has some nerve to scold a customer, claiming I treated Evette poorly. I did no such thing. I heId the supervisor accountable, someone has to, and it should be the customer, because the customer is always right. He really needs a 101 on how to address prepaid guests during check in. The nerve he has. Highly confused why bottled water costs more then soda in the lobby vending. The gym has no yoga ball like the photo claims on booking website. False advertising. I am praying for a good morning at breakfast to make up for Rubio's rudeness. Unacceptable and the CEO of BW should be very aware of his unexcusable employee at this time. Thank you and best regards for best western. There gonna need it if they want to stay in business.

Staff Member, Omar, at front reception, was exceptional in his attention to details regarding this property. He answered questions before being asked. Such as, directions within the city, providing blankets and information as to the breakfast procedures in the morning.

When I booked online, I didn’t realize the hotel was right beside the main highway. When I checked in, I voiced my concerns about possibly noise from the highway. The gentleman got all loud and defensive and made me feel uncomfortable. He said he would give me the wifi password and I could call Expedia and cancel. At this point I wasn’t about to turn off airplane mode on my phone and cancel the reservation.it didn’t seem like it was a terrible place to stay. It wasn’t terrible but wasn’t the best choice of hotels for the price point. The negatives were the door didn’t close properly as you could see right out to the hallway. The sliding door facing the parking lot didn’t feel secure as it was loose and you could probably break in very easily. The bed was ok. I just felt that the front desk staff did not have to be so rude to us when we checked in. As for the location, I thought it was going to be closer to Oceanside Beach so driving wouldn’t be required. After a long day on the road, it has taught me to be more careful and diligent on what I book in the future.

Everything was wonderful…. But! Alexander and the rest of the staff were great. The room was clean and prefect! Easy access to the freeway and centrally located. The only thing we didn’t like were the transients sleeping on or near the property. During our 6 night stay they made their presence known to us in various ways including having the mirrors flipped on my car as well as mystery substances thrown on my car. Not exactly a plus for the money we paid to stay at this hotel. Otherwise it was a great stay.

We booked a room for family who came into town. They absolutely loved it. It was close to our house and by a lot of other places (food, coffee shops, the beach, bowling…) Even though it’s by the freeway, you can’t hear anything so that was good. The breakfast was good and parking was easy to find by the room.

Customer service was excellent. It was super convenient for a swim meet that we were attending. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, is because you’re so close to the fwy and train track, it is a little noisy.

The property is right off I5. The beach is about .5 mi away mostly uphill sidewalk on busy street with fast traffic. Off the property I observed what appeared to be a drug deal and a young lady was yelling at people after the deal. Other than that nice homes adjacent to the hotel. With many people walking their dogs.

Very close to the freeway, I would like it to be further away from the freeway. I was surprised by how nice the breakfast was; good variety, the staff was very attentive to the stock and cleanliness, The housecleaning staff were very friendly and did a good job.

We enjoyed the location, near enough to the beach, close to Carlsbad for resturants and shopping, quiet room with the best airconditioning system we have ever experienced in a motel, very comfortable bed, wonderful hot tub, and an enjoyable, hot breakfast, all at a resonable price with friendly office hosts and motel staff. A very enjoyable stay indeed! Thank you Best Western Oceanside! You are a "5-star motel" in our humble opinion!

Check in was fast and easy. Real polite and welcoming. The only thing i didnt like ,was the homeless that hung around the area. I didn't feel comfortable with my kids walking to the convenience store.

Overall good experience except for a couple of drabacks. Thin ceiling - noise all the time from upstairs kept waking us up. Confusion about breakfast timings- front desk person told us until 9:30 but the server closed it at 9. Not much main course options for us vegetarians. Bean/cheese burrito was there only for 1 out of 3 days we stayed.

Good and quiet hotel with a very nice breakfast. Warm eggs, bacon/sausage and a delicious potato mix. Waffle maker , bagels, bread, oatmeal, cereal, milk , juice tea and of course coffee. Rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable and water pressure was good. Room smelled a bit humid but it goes with the territory I guess. Pool looked nice but we didn’t get in. Stayed for two nights with two young kids while going to LEGOLAND and the beach. Great pizza place just past the freeway. We would stay here again.

It totally met our needs for a hotel close to Legoland. It had a good pool, but it was totally packed the first night we were there. Note that the pool towels are by request only at the front desk! The breakfast was good, but not enough seating for all the families that were there. I thought the 2nd morning would be less crowded, but it wasn’t. But the staff was working like crazy to keep all the food replenished and they did a great job. The beds were too hard for my taste, but that’s a personal preference thing. I would not want to be in a room facing the pool because of how loud it was with the families there until about 10pm. Great access to the freeway and lots of convenience stores and fast food relatively close as well as the beach.
