The staff was very friendly and service oriented. It has a nice gym facility which is bigger than most and has free weights. However, the hotel itself looks really run down. It needs painting inside and out. The pool was dirty and the hot tub was broken. It was not heating property and the jets did not work. They mentioned they were remodeling the restaurant, but the rest of the place needs major work.

We booked this hotel so we could use the pool after checking in and getting on our bathing suits going to the pool a sign read that it was not open. Nobody at the front desk, alerted us. We would have checked out immediately and gone to another property. In the evening, we went down to use the fire pit. They said the fire pit was also in operable. So there are two major amenities that we could not use during our stay we are not very happy about that. And there was no refund or acknowledgment towards a refund to us. Food quality was marginal, the same breakfast was provided each morning no changes. We chose to dine elsewhere.

We enjoyed our one night stay here, room was clean and had everything we needed. It was nice having the Starbucks in the morning. View of harbor & train was a plus. Close to town, not walkable though (at least at 92°).

The property was fine. 2 Tesla chargers and 1 non Tesla charger. There are half a dozen more chargers just before the hotel, same building. Breakfast was good. The problems were the front desk staff. They tried to charge me $75 for our dog whereas Expedia said pets were free and they didn’t give a breakfast voucher even though we paid for it in Expedia. I had to go ask and she said she didn’t notice it. Ultimately, it was good, but make sure you speak up when things aren’t as described, otherwise your stay could be significantly more expensive.

Sheraton in Petaluma is my favorite place to stay. Love the sauna and hot tub. The lady at the front desk was awesome. She even upgraded me to a room with a jet tub for free (slow season). The jet tub unfortunately did not work but the room was awesome otherwise.

I would say this is a higher class hotel. The property is well kept, the staff is friendly, the rooms clean and spacious. They have a full bar where they serve food as well. Nice pool area with jacuzzi. Mini store where you'll find wine, beer, some food and a few other things. Washer and dryer at the end of the hallway. Nice gym. I would stay here again.

Nice location on the harbor. Easy access to Sonoma wine country. Hotel in decent shape. Some of the carpets need deep cleaned and some need replaced. Bar should open before 5:00, would be nice to grab a drink before the restaurant opens at 5:00 pm.

When we arrived there was alone of like 15 people ahead of us another 6 behind us. We waited in line for about 35 minutes. Got in to the room. Decided to got to the small bar/restaurant and there was one waiter and the place was packed. We had to wait from like 20-30min to get a drink. The hotel is completely understaffed. Not the staffs fault. I could tell they were all frustrated but they were never ever rude. We go back to our room and try to go to sleep. Refrigerator is making loud weird noises, we get up and it’s leaking water everywhere. Comes morning, and I have to use the bathroom. Boom the bathroom toilet wasn’t working, no big deal, I’ll use the bathroom in the lobby which i did, order some coffee at Starbucks, head back to my room. Watch tv for a bit! Then, decide it’s time to get ready, fiancé hops is the shower and boom shower is backed up. I call the front desk. No answer. I want the front desk. Tell them what’s going on. They said we’ll have someone come check it out. I said no I’m requesting a new room, no way I’m showering in a back up shower. We get a new room. Pack everything to go to the other room, get there. Smells little iffy! We look around then behind the curtains. Black mold. This place is located in a great place and has so much potential if it was cleaned and maintained. The carpet is so gross stains everywhere.

We had to downgrade from the room we bought to a lower floor due to a condom wrapper we found on the floor. We’ve come home with rashes on all of us from the dirtiness of the sheets. Very disappointed. A complete waste of money.

Our room was not ready when we arrived. The staff was nice and was attentive. It was disappointing to arrive and still have to wait. When we got into our room, there was two dried blood stains by the toilet. Our hairdryer was old so it caught a handful of my hair in the back.

Pros: Nice room. Comfortable bed. Ac works great. Laundry on site. Cons: the sheer curtain made it hard to sleep in or doesn’t block car headlights. The carpet and areas in the hallways were super dirty (not the room itself)

We checked in around 7-8pm on Thanksgiving evening. We expected to relax with some TV (wife needs it on at night to sleep). It took us till the FOURTH room to find one that the TV worked and could actually change channel. The first rooms the TV came on only to the Marriott overview screen and there was no way to call up the guide to choose something to watch. The engineer and the young man working the front desk were polite but really couldn’t help at all. Very disappointed!!!!

The view of the marina was nice. There is a walking trail in the estuary that is beautiful. My room did not have a refrigerator and I had to move rooms only to find that the new room had no microwave. I was too tired to move again. The outside of the building is weathered and needs maintenance. All in all, it was fine for the 1 night I needed to stay due to a power outage.

We stayed on the first floor with a marina view. To me, that’s the best, but be aware there is foot traffic on what would be a balcony. Either way, it’s very convenient if you have a pet to walk. A trailhead is there too, so enjoy a stroll on a nice path through the wetlands. On a negative note, rapid transit across the river and the occasional diesel freight trains.

I made my reservation through Hotels.com specifically stating that this was a birthday celebration and I paid extra for a private balcony water view room. I called the hotel directly before we arrived to confirm that we received the room that I paid extra for. I also let them know on the phone that it was a special birthday celebration that we would be coming in from out of town. When we arrived, they informed me that they were not doing anything special for our birthday celebration, and that the room I paid extra for was given away. And that I would still be charged extra for the less extravagant room that no longer had a private balcony and shared a balcony with everyone on the first floor. I never stay at a Sheraton and will not be staying at the Sheraton again. The service was horrible and unacceptable.

Loved our stay here. The view from our room was gorgeous. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I’m normally a Hilton girl but the stay here makes me want to switch over. Would definitely stay here again.

After a 9 hour drive to get there, hotel advertised it has room service until 11:00pm and to dial 2900. After 5 failed attempts of phone just ring and rings, I called the front desk where I learned room service has been out of service since the pandemic. I guess it should update the advertising of it. She then transferred me to the restaurant where she said I can order and just pick it up, there too, no one answers the phone. I then decided to head down to the restaurant, this is now 9:45 and they told me the kitchen is closed. My young kid and I went to bed hangry. The next day, we slept in and asked maid service to come later. On our way out, we stopped by the front desk to ask for a bed turn over and clean towels. When we came back hours later, we just got sheets and towels thrown on our bed. Pretty disappointed. The next day, we needed to extend our stay one more night. I came down to talk to the front desk. The clerk was looking on her phone and didn’t even notice I was standing there waiting for her. After a few minutes, I had to speak up to get her attention. She extended our stay and said she would re do our room card. After a long day and late night, we came back to a card not in service and had to go back down to have her refresh it. Overall, not impressed with my stay. Would probably never come back

it was a convenient location because we had to get to the San Francisco and Napa Valley… But there’s really not much around the hotel as far as options for dining or activities. You have about a 10 minute drive to downtown Petaluma for everything.

The nice thing about this property is that there is a marina with boats behind the building and a trail to the river. A beautiful sunset from there. Nice rooms, too, and we enjoyed it. This was our second time, staying there.

A very nice hotel with spacious clean rooms. A little weird to get in and out of physically, but the staff were all pleasant. We had a marina view so it was very nice to feel like we were out of the city for a bit. A/C was chilly!!

It is my 4th stay at the hotel since Sept 2023, and the menu at Tolay restaurant is still the same! Sometimes the hotel is short in staff for the restaurant and bar, and as a result the seating aera in the restaurant is closed, and the customer has to go to the bar to eat (difficult to eat easily because the tables are too high when you are seated on the chair/sofa)

-1- I had a room with marina view, but the windows were so dirty that I could not enjoy the view -2- Get the NY strip steak out of the menu at Tolay - that dish is awful (over fried/burnt/ dedicated Brussels sprout and mushroom, and the mashed potatoes was the consistency of baby food)

The bar/restaurant was a bit underwhelming. The food choices were minimal. Having to pay for a breakfast when most hotels don’t charge was disappointing. Nice location, great staff but, cmon Sheraton, might be time to step up your game.
