The pool area is not being serviced by the local hired pool guy. The hot tub filters are always full, I end up emptying them. He pours in chemicals but doesn’t use the pool broom. The hot tub n pool has a bacteria “ring around the tiles. Like dirty bath water. The security gate doesn’t lock. As a result , the homeless use it for bathing.

Pool n hot tub not serviced and clean. Pool man uses chemicals n leaves doesn’t empty filters or pool sweeps. Security gate lock for pool doesn’t work. Vagrants come in and bathe in pool. Cost of eggs has gone down, for 2 months no eggs for breakfast, bacon textured like cardboard. The messed up thing is some rooms the tv doesn’t work, but there’s no break in price. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy my time there, and that’s why my review, so they can fix what’s wrong so I will continue to choose this place. I’ve told the day manager several times but nothing changes with the pool. As much as the pool service people make, I’m sure someone else would be more than glad to have this job, that the regular guy won’t do

This was a nice place to stay for our one night. We needed to be close to Camp Pendelton and this was as close as you can get. Rooms need a little updating, bed was comfortable. Breakfast, your usual quick egg and meat breakfast, but you get fresh made waffles.

Positive points:The check in process was easy and quick. Friendly staff. Appreciated the lemon water in the lobby. Our room was nice, had comfortable mattress. The breakfast had excellent coffee, pretty fair food. Staff was friendly and helpful. Negative points: The ice bucket in the room was dirty, and had a bar of soap stuck at the bottom. The sliding glass door to the balcony did not lock. The balcony needed some attention. Dirt everywhere. Metal chairs not inviting. The pool area had very limited area to use lounge chairs. Broken umbrella at the one available table. Table was dirty. The spa had quite a bit of mold on back wall.

The hotel is a good location for the state beaches access. It is an older hotel so the bathroom was a little odd with the sink outside of the toilet and shower room. The room with a king sized bed and pull out couch was a great sized room. The fridge was quite large and includes a freezer. We went to the pool, the pool furniture was mostly broken, but the size of pool was nice. They also have inclusive chairs for wheelchair access into the pool. The towels provided by the hotel for the pool are TINY. Breakfast in the morning was very nice and well kept. The staff were very kind and we were able to check in quickly with our room ready. They have onsite parking in the back which is a plus for the area .

Dont spend your money on this hole! The Lobby smelled like B.O., and breakfast was a joke. Honestly Im surprised theyre open for busines. Shower was disgusting as if it hadnt been cleaned in months. I rather shower outside with the water hose. Toilet barely flushed and was sticky! Just overall dirty which was surprising for the area we were in. Front desk person didnt know what he was doing. Air conditioner didnt work, our mini fridge in the room had mold! I rather sleep in my car! Dont stay here please. Oh and they charge as if it were a 5☆ hotel when it should be condemned.

We have stayed at the hotel many times over the years. Sadly we have really seen it decline over the year. Seems quite neglected. So many things. Dirty fridge in our room, spider on the wall. Sliding door to (Balcony with no screen and a folding chair) and a dirty slider. All mirrors in room were streaked and not shiny. Towels were not white. Something red smeared on the door to our room. hope it was not blood. Large spill on the carpet getting off the elevator, and floor of elevator was not cleaned the 4 day stay we were there. Back to our room. The carpet was not clean, and we were afraid to not wear our shoes in room . The light over the double sink #1 was burnt out, they did fix the second day. All in all sadly this was our last stay at Confort in San Clemente Calif. I think you may be able to get it back to good standings if you have the right cleaning crew and management. But not for us at $180. a night. good Luck

Bathroom was not clean. As soon as I got to my room I checked the room and someone left a little “gift” in the bathroom toilet that was not flushed. Clear sign that the toilet didn’t get cleaned. I don’t even want to use it at all I felt disgusted

The staff was friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the rest of our stay was very disappointing. The shower only ran cold, the room had a terrible odor, and a power socket sparked when my son tried to plug in his iPad. In addition, I had to avoid dripping water coming from the carport light fixtures at both the front and back of the property. I don’t usually write complaints, but in this case I feel it’s important to share these concerns so others are aware and improvements can be made.

The property location was okay, just outside of San Clemente Beach, but the property itself is pretty run down. The room was ok, the carpet had stains in places, the bathroom was really the grossest part, the tub had some weird rust stains and it just seemed in need of a good remodel. Definitely felt Like I got hustled thinking this was a four star. This is a 3 star at best, hovering around a possible 2.

The hotel overall looked outdated. The noise level was manageable, but the walls were so thin we could hear everything next door. The Wi-Fi was very slow, and while the area felt safe, the staff constantly watching us was uncomfortable. On top of all that, they did not immediately return our deposit, and we were told we would have to wait 3-5 business days to see it back in our account, even though there was no damage to the room.its been over 10 days and still no return of payment. For the price we paid, this hotel was absolutely not worth it. If it had been a very cheap motel, maybe some of these things would be understandable, but at this rate, I would not recommend it or stay again.

I would classify this hotel as “barely adequate”. Check-in took 15-20min at 10:15pm at night (with only one other person in front of me). It was as if none of the reservation info came over and had to be (painfully & slowly) manually Re-entered. The room was clean, but rather dated. Lots of street/freeway noise through the windows. Metal folding chairs on the balcony. Pillows were weirdly small on the bed, making for a barely acceptable night’s sleep. Refrigerator was marginal and more warm than cold. I really only needed this room for sleeping purposes, but if I was on a vacation and spending more time there, I would’ve been disappointed. I think there are probably better options at this price point.

Needed remodeling. The black out curtains had lots of holes in them. The sliding glass door had to be jerked to open and needed replacement as it seemed ready to fall off. The sink plug had to be pulled out so it would drain. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was close to the state beach.

Freeway is close, so it’s kinda loud when loud vehicles or motorcycles go by. The beds are fairly firm but not too bad. Overall experience was good and I would stay there again.

The staff was excellent. I arrive a couple of hours early because of my change in schedule. I spoke with the staff who was there and asked if it was possible to check in early. The hotel overall looked outdated. The noise level was manageable, but the walls were so thin we could hear everything next door. The Wi-Fi was very slow, and while the area felt safe, the staff constantly watching us was uncomfortable. On top of all that, they did not immediately return our deposit, and we were told we would have to wait 3-5 business days to see it back in our account, even though there was no damage to the room.its been over 10 days and still no return of payment. For the price we paid, this hotel was absolutely not worth it. If it had been a very cheap motel, maybe some of these things would be understandable, but at this rate, I would not recommend it or stay again.

My friend was thrilled with how comfortable it felt there. "A very relaxed vibe." There were plenty of linens and other amenities, the clerks were generous with in room coffee supplies and breakfast was wonderful. I was surprised she came down for it then when we sat there for a leisurely meal - I asked her later. "The staff made me feel like we were staying with family." My husband and I have been staying at nearby suites for 15 years. A lovely place with similar features. We will come here next visit. He will love the parking.

I usually never leave reviews, but this hotel was such a disappointment. We a had a man in the room next door who got high and started yelling and slamming his doors. Although this is not the hotels fault it took them from 9 pm to 2:30am to finally call the police on this lunatic. The man pulled the fire alarm, and here’s the scary part, it never went off. He also broke the glass for the fire extinguisher and proceeded to beat his door with it because he locked himself out. We couldn’t leave our room in fear of him, and the hotel phones didn’t work so we had to use our cell phone, look up hotel number to call front desk. When my husband finally went downstairs to front desk to ask for compensation all they offered was a later checkout time. On top of that the bathroom was gross and they didn’t replace the towels they took from our room. Parking also was nonexistent after around 6 pm.

I wasnt aware when i booked the hotel that i had to leave a $100 deposit at check in. The front office lady wasnt helpful at all. TV didnt work on the 1st night had to wait til next to have someone come fix it. Greatful the room was clean and decent. But honestly i wont be back again.

Checked in April 26th at night. Guy behind desk had zero knowledge of process for check in. He had to call 4 times with questions, while telling me it's a system update and I need to just sit and wait. Check out morning of 27th, breakfast supposed to be at 7am. Multiple guest still waiting at 7:50am with no front desk service or breakfast. While checking out I asked for a check out slip or recipient to show i was checked out on time. The "manager phillip"- as he claimed himself, was extremely rude and hostile about the situation. He told me I could call corporate and then told me he won't give me their number becouse "I work for them not you. Why would I give it to you"

This was the hardest hotel to check into that I’ve ever experienced. We booked two rooms and therefore they required two different cards to hold the incidental fees. The cards had to have 2 different names as well which meant I had to get my entire family out of the car to come in to see if my husband had a card with just his name on it. One of our rooms had a clogged sink and no hot water. The beds were rock hard as well. Upon leaving the entire hotel was swarming with police… there were 5 cars and even more officers. I don’t know what was happening, but all of the staff seemed uncomfortable and we’re doing their best to avoid any eye contact.

Came for a music festival, arrived early and even though room was not yet ready, they let me check in and park there all day and hold our luggage until we returned late at night from the concert. Very friendly staff and spacious room clean and comfortable. Highly recommend. PSA nit on the beachfront but across the freeway so keep that in mind so you aren’t disappointed.

I did not stay. I asked to cancel the reservation as soon as I got there. The hotel is right on the highway, no noise barrier wall. It was so loud that I couldnt hear the people at the front desk. They tried to offer me a room on the opposite side of the building but you cannot eliminate highway noise at all. I booked a room to get away from noise to relax from my stressed out noisey life, i needed a break and some peace and quiet. I did not stay there because of that reason. They use a cleaning product that I am not fond of that makes me nauseous, that was unpleasant. When using your website I specifically clicked free breakfast and ocean view, since this was going to be a personal retreat for me I wanted to NOT have to leave the building to have these things. There was absolutely no ability to see the ocean. But this particular hotel came up on 3 separate websites as a hotel that has a view of the ocean, false advertising.

We had a very nice stay. It was a great place to be with young kids. The breakfast every morning was very nice. We like that the room had a separate area with a pull out couch. The location was great for us, near the beaches and downtown area and not a far drive from all the tourist areas.

Needed remodeling. The black out curtains had lots of holes in them. The sliding glass door had to be jerked to open and needed replacement as it seemed ready to fall off. The sink plug had to be pulled out so it would drain. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was close to the state beach.

Freeway is close, so it’s kinda loud when loud vehicles or motorcycles go by. The beds are fairly firm but not too bad. Overall experience was good and I would stay there again.

This was a nice place to stay for our one night. We needed to be close to Camp Pendelton and this was as close as you can get. Rooms need a little updating, bed was comfortable. Breakfast, your usual quick egg and meat breakfast, but you get fresh made waffles.

The entire property is not what is pictured. Our room was full of gnats. The breakfast options were horrible. Every leftover bread and fruit that is put out is bagged and put back into cupboards. The fruit was rotten because it’s not kept cold. Listen to the reviews if you’re thinking of this cheaper option… it’s horrible.. pay the extra money and go somewhere else

The room was nice and it was clean. Fridge is quite large which was nice. Hotel itself is fine. Noisy with the highway and location is not really close to anything. But decent prices and adequate rooms make this a worthy choice for a cheap night stay in the area.
