Location is convenient to the House of Blues, next door. Gaslamp District is a few blocks down the street. Room was decent and had a historic charm. Wish it had convenient/low priced parking, and there are homeless around.

Great stay at the Courtyard in San Diego. In the heart of downtown and nearby good restaurants that are walking distance. Allowed us to check in early, which I thought was amazing!

The building is an adaptation of a gorgeous old bank building. Truly stunning. And the room was very nice. They were a bit understaffed during check-in—only one person. But other than that one time, well staffed and attentive. The location was extremely convenient to Balboa Park, other downtown attractions (on the same block as House of Blues!), the trolley and freeways. Do be aware that, like most downtowns, there were some unhoused people in the area, but they never bothered us as we passed by.

We arrivedin our room around 10 pm Our shower was clogged and we reported to the front desk. They said they have no maintenance at night and that a security guard was coming to look at the shower. He didnt come until 11:30 pm. We were sleeping already and never snet anyone again in the morning. They told us the managerwould contact us and a week later no one has called. This was a weekend that ddogers were in town and we paid $600 for the night. Horrible would not stay again. Also the walls are so thin. You can hear people partying until early morning.
