The hotel was very clean & the staff were friendly. I was impressed by their continental breakfast, which included scrambled eggs, sausage, & bacon in addition to the fruits & pastries I expected to be available. The hotel is dog-friendly & had an adorable “welcome” sign in front of the entrance that listed the dogs currently staying by name - it was so cute!

Staff was very friendly. Complimentary breakfast was good. Big variety. Property was clean and well maintained. Most of all, the accepted my 127 lb dog. It was a dog show weekend, so there were plenty happy pups. I would suggest having poop bag trash cans.

Easy access off the freeway. Friendly staff. Pet friendly for our 2 large dogs. Pet fee was in the high-middle of the spectrum for the area (other hotels range from $30-125). Parking a bit sketchy though. We have a super large truck that needs a much higher clearance than most garages so we had to park towards the back of the hotel, next to the Taco Bell. And then we had to walk with our 2 young kids, 2 dogs, and luggage around the hotel, on the long driveway back to the front of the hotel to get to our room. So super sketchy parking and a bit inconvenient. But the room was clean, especially considering the hotel is pet friendly. The in room microwave and small refrigerator is a huge plus. A hot tub would have been a nice amenity, but they only have a pool.

Overall, this hotel provided myself and spouse a great weekend away from home. We were in town for a wedding at the Birch Aquarium, the Hampton Inn location was EXCELLENT, though initially a little difficult to find the in-and-out. Check-In went smoothly, breakfast was good (included a waffle machine & hot food). Beds were comfortable, room had Black Out curtains & fully functioning A/C. Small fridge & microwave in each room. Pool was outdoor, but no jacuzzi. Workout room had treadmills, and dumbbells + working digital scale. Parking was $12/day which included either outside parking spaces or below ground, narrower spots.

Great checkin and friendly staff. The breakfast space is constrained but the biggest dissappointment was the run down bathroom state in room 434. Bathtub had chips, drywall in one corner was soiled to the extent it had a hole. First time I had an underwhelming stay in Hampton Inn.

The two room suite was quite spacious with two bathrooms, comfortable bed, a desk, two TVs (one in the bedroom and the other in the living room), a small sink to wash fruits and cups, and a sofa bed. The bathrooms, bedroom, and living room were very clean. The complimentary continental breakfast had a good variety of breads, fruits, hot dishes, and drinks spread out in a large, clean area providing disposable plates and utensils. Nice front desk personnel.

Several things were broken including the blinds, tv remote didn’t control the tv (a known problem with no solution according to front desk). The small table on wheels, basically the only place to have a flat space to eat or work, had a broken wheel and wouldn’t stay steady. Worst mattress in any hotel, ever. Seemed to be made of cold concrete. Horrible area, druggies in the parking lot between gas station and disgusting Taco Bell. Ended up leaving a night early to stay elsewhere. Front desk simply responded, “you’ll be eating the cost of the second night” Yeah, worth it, that’s how bad this place is.

The hotel was modern and clean and the room was spacious, comfortable and had a great shower. It's right at an intersection of 2 highways so getting around the San Diego area with a car was easy- it is not a walkable area. The main downside is the hotel has no restaurant or bar and the free breakfast buffet food was pretty horrible.

Remodeled 2 Queen room was nice. Would be nicer with adding a tiny nightstand/shelf to the outside bed sides so that glasses or phone are accessible. +5 deg hot water temp would be nicer as well. Staff were great. Breakfast options could be expanded a bit but being free compared to several nearby competitors --> give food a 4 star culinary rating. Parking is limited but workable (typical SoCal). Keep the room fan running to deal with noise from "The 5" if facing the busy roads. Overall a nice option that we've stayed at pre- and post-remodel.

I really enjoyed my short overnight stay! I was in town for one night only to visit a client whose office is nearby. The front desk staff was very warm and friendly and my room was very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was well stocked! Will definitely return the next time I’m in the area!

Room was clean and spacious, breakfast was great, and parking was easy to find. What really stands out at this hotel, though, is the customer service. Leanna at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. We unexpectedly had an extra friend staying with us, and the rollaway bed was brought up no more than 5 minutes after we brought our luggage in, and not even a minute after that we got a call to make sure it had arrived. Really outstanding and made our trip that much more enjoyable.

With rooms available Hampton wanted to charge $75 to check in early and made us wait in the lobby for an hour. This after driving six hours just added insult to our choice of a hotel. Mind you, we already were paying around $250 a night. This hotel policy is disgraceful and a slap in the face to customers. Needless to say we will spread the word about Hampton Inn and never stay with them again. My advice choose Best Western Plus, they would never do this to their customers.

Very central to buy food from a market or to dine out. My stay was more personal than fun, so being central was a convenient for me. The only thing I was unhappy was the $15 for parking per night.

Hampton was clean ,safe with easy check in. The area around the hotel is in a business area so you have to travel a little bit for restaurants. Being next to the freeway made getting around very easy. The parking garage for guests made it easy and safe to park. Over all great place to stay. We will be back.

Check in was the best part. It was smooth and easy. Mattresses were old, felt like if we were going to fall off bed if too far to the edge. Woke up with bad back pains due to the bed. Called front desk twice for extra towels and they were never brought up to the room. Parking situation was horrible. Way too tight and small in the parking structure plus it was full at one point. My 3 year old son broke out in a rash due to lack of cleanliness in the room. No trash bags in trash cans. The breakfast was disgusting. I had to take my kids down the way to eat. We are not picky eaters, but the eggs were cold, seemed not cooked. Some of the fruit tasted as if it was going bad. This hotel needs a full makeover. Overall the worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel. I definitely won’t ever be staying here again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone.
