Property was under renovations when we arrived and had to lug our luggage thru trash bin area to access the hotel. Guests should be given advance notice of renovations before booking

It would have been nice to have been aware that the entrance to the hotel was being remodeled prior to booking this hotel. The entrance was through a side door passing dumpsters. ! The pool was closed due to the construction. There was Luke warm water while showering in the morning as I can only surmise too many guests waking up at the same time.! There is no check out option on the tv in the room that I could find.

The nice man explained that the property is under construction. He did not have an answer for the trash around the entrance.

"Suite w living area" was nothing more than a room with a pullout couch. There also was no fan in the bathroom, the internet wasn't working the first night, and the ice machine was not working. Not a great experience and certainly I overpaid vs what was advertised.

Don’t stay at this hotel if you are looking for a pool that you can use. The water was WAY TOO FREEZING to be usable. The signs say there is a spa, but the spa has been full in. We were very disappointed and are unlikely to stay again

Extremely unhappy about the inclusion of a new $10 pay to park fee. It was the first time that I had to pay it while staying here multiple times. I wish they wouldn't hide that in the description and would just include it in the price of the hotel. Such nonsense.

More like a business hotel in ambience and location, has a Jersey Mikes and a liquor store opposite, else dining is a couple miles away. Good included breakfast, comfortable rooms, clean, views of office buildings, small pool, ample parking but not free, good value for the price

The carpet in our room was soaking wet, it was noisy due to road noise and other guests, the pool was closed due to renovations, the ice machines didn’t work, the milk at breakfast was sour… horrible experience.

Hotel was under remodeling and noise was very bad, slamming doors all night.

It's a nice area, safe and quiet.. The only thing I don't like was I have to pay for the parking. Parking should be free for the guest.

All the staff I interacted with was very helpful and responsive to my needs. The room itself was not quite up to the normal Holiday Inn standards. There was water damage in the bathroom and little black bugs on the countertop in the bathroom. The exterior landscape could also use some mulch. The parking area felt secure but I wasn't told about the $10 per night fee until I arrived to check in.

Awesome accommodations! Easy parking & check-in. The room was “spotless”. Easily accessible from the freeway. Close to Sorrento Valley, Mira Mesa, Miramar, La Jolla, etc… I would recommend this place

This place is nearby a lot of businesses and makes for a more business hotel vibe. The rooms are clean enough but something that really bothered me was the smell of bleach right when I entered the room. It smelled like I was in a pool the entire time and gave me a headache. The doors are not soundproofed and when people talk in the hallways you can hear them. I’d often hear housekeeping talking loudly amongst each other in the morning when they clean, which disrupted my sleep. The worst part was the WiFi on the fourth floor was so spotty, it barely worked and connected. I ended up leaving early because I just couldn’t stand it anymore. I would not recommend. Stay elsewhere.

The room had unexpected bugs inside the restroom. The attendant said he was going to discount portion of my charge due to the bugs.

We’ve stayed here twice and have been pleased. It’s an easy traffic free drive to SDSU. They have remodeled the rooms and they are comfy. The beds are super comfy in the newly renovated rooms. Super friendly staff!

When I first arrived at this property I noted that the lobby was very dated, and as I walked down the hallway I noticed the carpet wasn't in great condition and I started to get very worried. I opened the door to my room and everything in there was bran knew and absolutely beautiful. What a great job they've done renovating the rooms

Super clean and super easy stay for the weekend - beds were really comfortable, the room was really clean, it was great! Only thing I will say is that the doors are very thin and you can hear everything outside so bring ear plugs! Our first night there was a group of guys that went in and out of their room every 5-10 minutes around 12-2am for no reason and the door slamming shut (it’s normal operation is extremely loud) kept waking us up. We put in ear plugs and then everything was fine. This was probably an exception but I thought to mention that earplugs are worth getting for sure just in case! Other than that we had a lovely stay!

Room was comfy and spacious (we had a suite). Fairly recently renovated as well. However, the TV wouldnt support any streaming services, and offered only the plain vanilla cable with just basic channels. The screen-mirroring doesnt work and you cant connect your phone or use an app to stream your own shows/,movies. The staff mentioned they've locked it down to prevent folks manhandling the TV. Never heard that before !

The room is very spacious.

The room door latched & locked fine but it sealed so poorly that all sounds in the hallway came into the room.

This hotel is great! It has a nice breakfast area! The room was clean, updated, and nice. The staff is so friendly, every one of them! One of my kids left their suitcase behind and we got that important call from the very sweet woman (I wish i could remember her name) at the front desk and it saved us. We were an hour away and set to fly out and thankfully they had cleaned our room shortly after we left and discovered and she called until she got ahold of me to let us know about our suitcase. We were able to turn around and grab it. SO GRATEFUL!!!!! THANK YOU AGAIN!!! Wonderful hotel, even better staff!

Complaint Regarding Invasion of Privacy at Holiday inn zip 92122 I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding a distressing incident that occurred during my recent stay at your esteemed hotel. It is with great dismay that I bring to your attention the unauthorized entry into my room by a member of your front desk staff, an hour after our check-in. Upon our arrival, my family and I were looking forward to a comfortable and private stay at your hotel. However, our experience was marred when the aforementioned staff member entered our room without our consent or prior notification. The invasion of our privacy is an unacceptable breach of trust, and we were deeply unsettled by this violation. We were astounded by the staff member's explanation that he thought the room was not cleaned up, especially since he was the staff who had just checked us in! It is perplexing and frankly improbable that anyone would justify such an intrusion based on such a flimsy assumption. We believe that proper protocols and procedures should have been followed, ensuring that staff members have accurate information and explicit permission before entering occupied rooms. As valued guests, we had expected the utmost professionalism, respect for our privacy, & adherence to the highest standards of hospitality. However, this incident has left us feeling violated and betrayed. It has cast a shadow over our stay & significantly impacted our overall impression.

The property was great, the only negative was the service desk person that was on duty 6/27/2025 @ approximately 430 pm. Basically I asked for 6 extra pillows due tonight have a toddler and wanted to form a barrier in the bed so he doesn't fall, the service desk gentlemen told me " absolutely not! Maybe 2 or 3 but definitely not 6!" It's absurd that a hotel that size doesn't have 6 extra pillows. Very rude and condescending.

While it took quite a long time to get checked in because no one was at the front desk for 25min, the comfort of the room was amazing. Those pillows gave me the bes sleep ever. I also appreciate that check out wasnt until 12, that extra rest was needed.

Very quiet area.

This hotel is in a great location for the price. We were able to travel to the beaches quickly. There is a Jersey Mikes and Starbucks basically out the front door. The hotel is clean and well staffed. We had a great stay!

Staff was good . Breakfast was good and warm. I think the the only thing I didn't like was nothing to do with hotel or staff, it was maybe me,and the area seemed safe, only I found it hard to find , small sign at entrance (area restriction maybe) and an island in street preventing left turn out of the place.It is quiet and the staff are good . Good enough that I would recommend it

Perfect area. Not to far from La Jolla or downttown San Diego. The property was nice quiet. Not too many stores around but right up front there is a Starbucks, Jersey mikes and convenient store. Highly recommend booking here

Only stayed a night and it was absolutely chillin for that purpose... Just needed to be in that region for a night before relocating to another part of San Diego. It was an easy and quick check-in, clean room, nice bathroom, good beds, plenty of parking. Currently they are redoing the breakfast area, so they are serving in a meeting room. Breakfast goes until 930. Went down just before 9. Yikes. Place was packed and they had almost run out of food. Poor worker was getting run out of the room by cranky families pouring in. With no place to sit, I grabbed a bowl of Cheerios and bounced. My wife hung around a bit and said it got worse. I doubt they'll have any problems once they get the renovations done, but for now it was somewhat humorous to see the reactions. Stay was good though. If I had reason to be in the area, I'd stay again.

Breakfast was wonderful! They had fresh fruit, waffles, biscuits and gravy. You had an option of putting cinnamon and powdered sugar with whipped cream on the waffle. My son loved it. Eggs and bacon. Condiments that you can put with your eggs. Coffee and juice. Cereal, baked goods, good quality yogurt and milk. And they even had almond milk.

The breakfast room was under renovation so we had the breakfast in the meeting room it was really small and very difficult to walk around lots of things was missing in the buffet no boiled eggs one type of jam if you ask for different flavors they go to get it from another room

Staff was nice, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great They had omelets, bagels, pancakes fruit, pasyires and cereal. We were teaveling 2 adults and 3 kids. We got the room with 2 beds and 1 sofa bed. Room was clean spacious and comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Everything was excellent, Alan in front desk was so kind and helpful, the only thing that can bw better is your breaksfast needs variar y and better porciones.
