We had a lovely stay. But I was disappointed in the fact that the gift shop closed early and the restaurant closed early. I think the valet parking fee was way too much. And the tub spout and our shower dripped all night long. So that was frustrating to listen to. I was also disappointed in the fact that the day we were leaving, the pool was closed due to a private event. Something like this needs to be addressed or have the patrons informed prior to the stay because this is an amenity that we wanted to use.

You will hear every single door shut and they only offer valet parking for $65 and that price is absolutely outrageous. There was construction going on and they never gave a heads up for that. The rooftop bar was nice and the drinks were delicious. The room was clean and beds are comfortable. The staff was nice and friendly. I will not stay here again because of the noise and the cost to park.

Overall hotel was good. Pool was small for the size of facility. Busy after a padres game day. Under the cabinets could be cleaned up. We check to make sure our kids haven’t miss placed anything, could use a cleaning under there.

Hotel was OK... our room was not serviced tow days in a row and we ahd to call to have housekeeping come up to clean and bring towels. When we checked in there was leftover Food/drink in the refrigerator and the tub was not very clean. Beds were average in terms of comfort. Front Desk staff was friendly and helpful when needed. Requested my car with Valet and got a message that no one was available to bring my car... Just overall a very average experience.

We were celebrating my fiances b'day and we asked for anything complimentary and they were just indifferent about it and said since we booked with third party there is nothing they can do. The shower was dirty and dusty. The chair had white stains. The corners of the bath tub were dirty. It was a one night stay so we just let it be. There was nothing welcoming about the location.

The hotel including our room was in very good condition. The location is excellent for short walks to bars and restaurants in the Gaslamp quarter and Petco Park being literally just around the block. Our only negatives are the views from our room looked directly on to the rooms of an adjacent hotel and for privacy we had to keep one of the curtains closed for most of the time. My only other negative comment would be regarding the pool deck. It’s very small and the number of sun loungers is very limited. We never once managed to get one at the start of the day as they were all taken. This could be helped by taking away the cabanas which for most of the time that we were there lay empty. If they were removed the hotel could add another row of 10 sun loungers or possibly even 2!!!

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate his birthday. Online, this hotel makes it seem like they're a resort like, luxury, and have a huge heated pool. In all honesty, it's not something we would consider to be luxurious, but it's good enough. The best thing about this place is the staff and the bar on the rooftop. The bartenders were great and made amazing drinks and the staff outside of that were all friendly and welcoming. On the other hand, the pool isn't huge as advertised nor is it super warm which was disappointing. Our AC wasn't powerful enough and our room got extremely hot, so nights weren't great. The walls are very thin to where you can hear a lot in the hallways and other rooms. We wouldn't stay here again, but we're happy we tried it out.

The hotel was lovely, the vibe and location were great. Beautiful decor. The pool and gym were also very good. The only comments for us were very patchy Wi-Fi in our room (10th floor) and literally no place to hang wet towels and swimsuits. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

We loved everything about our stay at the property except for the moments that we did watch the television. The connection was glitchy and buffered more than one would expect and the WiFi was similar. Small issue when you are out and about but nonetheless it is an area for improvement.

It was a great stay. Overall staff was friendly. Some of the valets on check out was not as helpful as the ones that checked us in. I was told I could just scan ticket when ready to check out and got a different story when I checked out. Needless to say, didn't get help with my bags, was told that they don't accept texts for valets on Saturdays and when I said I was checking out and was getting my husband, no one even offered to help with bags. They just handed me my keys and pointed to where my car was even though me and my husband's hands were full. Since no one helped and I got lip, did not tip and was not a happy camper on exit. Remember the last thing a guest remembers is the last person they are in contact with when they leave. Checkin and check out staff was great though.

The hotel is lovely whether you are a Buffett fan or not. Location is excellent especially for a Padres game. Our issues were with the fees, almost 120.00 a day for parking and resort. If you want an early check in it was another 40 bucks. The valets were not helpful at all and there was no concierge, they didnt even know where the San Diego zoo was? Also, our TV didnt work for the entire 3 day stay, a technician was sent up and he just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do and to try Netflix.

I have stayed at other Margaritaville resorts in the past and this one did not measure up to their standards. There was only one restaurant on the property and it was the fins up bar and Grill with limited menu items. Don’t think about ordering a landmark beer, they don’t have it. Slightly overpriced for the type of property and location. I will stay elsewhere in the area next time I’m in San Diego.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the Gas Lamp District with plenty of bars, restaurants and entertainment options. The hotel restaurant was super and the staff is above the mark! On our first night, after a flight delay, we were hungry and thirsty. Our waitperson Chloe was welcoming and kind. We had margaritas in our hands right away! During our stay we had Lisa as our waitperson 3 times and she was awesome every time! She clearly loves her job, greeting guests with a big smile and attending to our family and grandson like we were her family. Front desk, valet, poolside…all was great!

The hotel pool area was often closed off for private parties. Nights we were able to visit the pool bar area, we were treated as if we walked in off the street & not hotel guest. Staff not very friendly. Visit the lower level restaurant. Staff & bartender was awesome! Drink prices high, be aware.

We had a trip and the opportunity to travel a day early, so made a last minute reservation. We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this hotel was! Our room was beautiful and spacious, the property is lovely and in a great location, easy to get to. Check in was a breeze. We are at the 5 o lock somewhere bar and downstairs and food and drinks were great! Definitely recommend!

Great location to many dining options. Wasn’t wowed with hotel drink/food prices. They were considerably higher than many establishments very close by. Especially beer prices. If you aren’t drinking at happy hour, you’re wasting money. $12 -14 beers vs $6-7 dollar beers full price at other bars. They also had very limited beer selection and food menu that was sub par and overpriced. Mixed drinks were overpriced $16 and watered down. Pool bar was excellent otherwise for venue, music and good bartenders. Happy hour is nutso if Padres have home games. I’d stay there again, but eat and drink elsewhere. Beds and room are excellent!

Lovely, close to all districts, trolley close, stadium. Excellent location. The cafe is not great, no jam, peanut butter, the bagels were not sliced one day, had to go to restaurant to slice the bagel plus The stock was not fully stocked up. Only cinnamon bagel 2 days. Coffee was delicious. Love Lincoln at the pool, Ana at front desk & Lisa at the restaurant

It was ok, for the money I expected better. The shower had mold and part of the shower door was falling off. I didn’t like how all the bathroom lights were not individually connected. I wanted to shower my husband slept and I couldn’t turn off the light over the tub. Outside the hotel smells which I understand isn’t Margaritavilles fault. The restaurant was good. I think if you are staying at the property parking should be discounted.
