The first room we got when we showed up was dirty and we had to get moved. However, after that move, the room was very nice, the pullout bed for the couch was slightly broken. However, the staff made arrangements and we were able to sleep using something else. Overall, I would stay here again, the pool is very nice. The restaurants on site have great food heads up if you use self parking it’s a nightmare if you get there after 9 PM. Every single night we came home after 9 PM. I had to look for parking for like 25 minutes. They’re just isn’t enough parking stalls and they charge $50 a night. Outside of that I don’t have any other qualms with the hotel.

The main issue is the limited elevator use for the tower. It’s completely unacceptable that there are only two elevator options, with the amount of guests staying. The stay was good, it would have made the stay much easier if the entire elevator system was operational.

This property is in a great location. It's really close to the beach and other attractions around. Pools are nice and hested. However its always unpleasantly windy all day long. The wind makes it to cold to spend the day in the water even for the kids. They also have a bunch of resort fees that get added onto your final bill along with a pricey parking bill.

We stayed there to enjoy the pool with kids for the evening & pool closed so no slides after 9pm. Tried to enjoy the S’mores kits & everyone said they weren’t sure if they were available. I hate the run around. Breakfast buffet seem decent for the price until you ate it, greasy & not even the oatmeal was hot. Server didn’t bring all the drinks until we were done eating. Makes for a poor start to the day.

The room I stayed in was not clean. The pull out bed that was in the sofa did not have any sheets on it and the mattress looked dirty and really gross. There were ants in the room and the floor left residue on your feet when you walked on it. I parked near the Banyan court and there was human feces right near the area where they hold weddings and events.

The hotel is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. The pool, along with cabana’s were filthy. The water was murky and huge clumps of hair floating around. Garbage sand and dirt all over the pool deck all five days we stayed. The rooms were just as dirty. There were previous guests items in our room, mold in the sink, thick layers of dust everywhere. Our room was never vacuumed, they would replace towels but that was it. We had a room with ocean view but unfortunately the neighbours were smoking pot and our room became intolerable from the smell of pot through the adjoining door. We were moved to a lower floor with a parking lot view. Over all the pictures on the site are lovely but the hotel is the exact opposite. Very disappointing considering what Hyatt is supposed to stand for and the amount they charge . We will not be booking at a Hyatt again.

The room smelled like a moldy washing machine and the room was dirty- the hair dryer had caked on dirt, the sofa had stains all over, there was a hole in the bathroom door. I couldn’t wait to get out of there.

The only reason I gave more than one star for this hotel is because the property itself is landscaped well and the pool and restaurants are nice. Our room itself was not clean - we had a garden view room and within 10 minutes of walking in my feet were dirty. In addition I had severe allergies in the room which flare up due to mold and dust. We also called and made sure that they were aware of our request for a pack n play for our baby. When we checked in late at night there was no pack n play even though the staff acknowledged that they could see it was part of the reservation. After hearing my complaints I got a dinner credit, which is better than nothing but in my opinion was not enough considering our room did not meet the bare minimum expectations due to how dirty it was. Do not waste your time or money staying here, and please definitely do not bring young children here who may usually spend time on the floor.

Great hotel w/ lots of amenities. The only thing I did not like was there was black mold along the edges of the pool and it was quite a bit. The room also smelled bad like mold. It is typical for beachfront or oceanfront properties to have moisture but it was a bit much for my ocd lol.

We booked 2 rooms, both smelt funky (like mold/mildew) our room specifically had a strong smell of pet urine which was unbearable. We got in late and were traveling with kids so we sucked it up the 1st night. I took pictures of the mold in the room and uncleanliness and I notified The hotel that night and they planned for our rooms to be moved which we greatly appreciated. Even changing to 2 new rooms we encountered the same cleanliness issues (but didn't smell of urine), and mold/mildew smells it was tolerable but the standards here do not request $400-$500/ a night, it was pretty appalling. I think the managers name was Tyler? he was very nice and helpful but I understand his ability to make things right is limited, I think this property needs some renovating or more attention to detail in the rooms. Having carpet throughout the unit when you allow dogs, have a pool, sand and ocean is kind of gross. The only reason we stayed and didn't transfer hotels is the front desk staff was great. The majority of the valets were great but on our last night there (Sunday), we had a different valet working. I called to get our car and since we had numerous bag and their Suites were located a short walk from the lobby I asked if they could deliver it to us vs me walking with kids and bag. He informed me they were too busy and I needed to come to the front. I went there and found 2 valets standing around waiting with nothing to do... This was not the service I expected.

Came with our kids for Labor Day. Check in and valet was amazing. The room was good on paper but in practice: the mattress is old and bouncy-you feel everything- and the pull out couch was embarrassing- Springs everywhere. The toughest part was asking for anything took a really long time. We asked for a baby bed at check in and got to us after 5 pm- long after nap. The property is beautiful and great pool but when no one is having a good night sleep, it can make or break a day. Same thing on check out: asked for a cart and didn’t come for 45 minutes. Basically: dont need anything in a hurry And dont be needy sleepers.

Great hotel for a family- the pool is great for kids, a get away for a couple.. not so much. Both restaurants good food, hotel room was great- perfect view of the marina and fireworks at SeaWorld every night. I saw reviews about an outdated rooms but ours must have been newly renovated because it was very nice. 3 min drive to mission beach/belmont park .. same for sea world! Would stay here again.

Although well situated to Sea World and the water, the overall feel for the hotel was a little run down. Portions of the room had been updated like the beds and decor but the bathroom was small and outdated, along with the tv stand and other furniture. The sliding glass door to the balcony was also very old and kept little to no noise out of the surrounding area and planes from the nearby airport

The hotel is a little outdated. The pull out couch is really low quality. The outside noise gets really bad, you feel like cars and bikes are driving right past you. Staff is really kind and the views are lovely.

Several nights stay - harbor view room. Glass sliding door to balcony didn’t close all the way so there was a draft coming into room. Given a key card to go in and out of parking lot - couldn’t get out of parking lot key card didn’t work was stuck there until another person pulled up and let us out with their key card for gate. Parking was $50.00 a night to park in regular parking lot that wasn’t aware of until you check in. Didn’t allow customers to use rolling carts so we had to make several trips up to room to take our things. Only bell hops allowed to us rolling carts and they wanted a tip. Probsbly won’t stay here again. Feel the whole thing was overpriced for what you got.

All I will say is that this will be the last time I will stay at this hotel. Wow what a horrible service and everyone around the pool was complaining about your services and your front desk employees. How are you going to have your guests wait in the lobby for hours?

We were upgraded to a waterfront suite when I mentioned that my wonderful daughter with a high level of needs and autism could be enthusiastic and maybe a little loud for neighbors. I think they send a lot of the family over to the waterfront suites? This was a nice upgrade because it had a balcony view of the marina and I didn't mind that my daughter could be loud. Speaking of loud, it was not my daughter that was so loud. It was the sound of the traffic outside the door all night long. We could hear sirens and traffic and there was a wedding going on when we stayed there so we also got to hear the noise of the celebration. Thankfully I always pack ear plugs! They were kind enough to provide extra pillows. When I asked about room service they said they do not have it. This made me sad because mobility is limited with my daughter and we had to walk quite a distance to the lobby, most people would only find it to be about a 2-minute walk, but it took a while for us. When I ordered Uber Eats I was trying to get it delivered to the door and they delivered to the lobby. I called the lobby and explained that they do not offer room service and it would take us a while to get there and if they would hold on to it. And by the time I got my daughter's shoes on, there was a knock at my door delivering the food we ordered. That was really nice service and totally made our morning before SeaWorld that much better. The service at this hotel is wonderful. They are accommodating.

Was frustrating that they would not come and clean the room during our stay. Even when we called and asked they would say they would but never did. Spent our spring break with a huge pile of dirty towels and a trash can overflowing in our room. When we arrived we did not get the room that we had reserved then when we asked to change we were met with a poor attitude and basically dismissed the issue woth no effort to resolve it.

I wish there’s easy access to the hotel and more dining choices in the area. The hotel location is quite confusing, getting there via highway and street are confusing to follow even with GPS. One can easily get lost and turned back on the freeway to get to the right street. In addition, the hotel parking has limited space and can be filled up fast when they are hosting an event.

We stayed in a waterfront family suite. It was beautiful and we would stay again. The suites are in a different building from the “tower”. It’s a large area with meeting rooms, walkways, restaurants, etc. it wasn’t a big deal that our room was a little walk from the game and pool area, but if we stayed again, we may request something closer. We walked across the bridge to Belmont Park and Mission Beach - a safe walk on a sidewalk about a mile away. There’s also a unique playground in that area. Overall - great stay!!

You can't get a better location in San Diego. It seems like this was 15 minutes away from everything, which was great for getting to explore the city. You have Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Coronado, Little Italy, and Barrio Logan all within driving distance. The resort is great for kids, mainly the pool area which is always fairly busy but not overly packed. There is a nice marina to talk walks up and down the coast as well as a path going into Mission Bay to see more of the waterfront. The hotel is your standard Hyatt with upgrades and it was definitely a clean, nice room. I enjoyed the entire stay and my family did as well. Definitely bring a sweatshirt and pants for the cool evenings/mornings because you do get the wind and overcast beach weather.

The property is dated. The plumbing in the room was very loud if you wanted a hot shower. The windows and glass in the rooms need a thorough wipe down. The food at Pelicans on the Bay was mediocre, they did a nice job with the breakfast buffet and dinner at the Red Marlin. The Market mission Bay hours are very inconvenient and the store in not stocked very well. The small store by the pool was oddly stocked, and the prices for medicine were outrageous.

All in all it was great. We stayed in one of the suits and the room was a good size for a family of 4. The down side is you feel like a VRBO because you park in a separate lot and walk right to your room. You bypass the hotel. Also there was no room Servise. There’s good food at the hotel but you need to pick it up. They do not deliver. With all that we had a wonderful time and would go back!

The hotel is neat and the staff very pleasant, except for the staff at the pool side bistro. The kids loved the pool and slides, but those were way overcrowded. The rooms were fine but poorly cleaned every day. Marina view rooms have a nice view of the nightly fireworks. Elevators were broken all the time which created queues and often forced us to use the stairs. Dining and drinking options in the are are VERY limited. the hotel exploits this with absolutely outrageous prices for the pool side restaurant and the diner restaurant. The pool side restaurant served ordinary grill food and cheap drinks in plastic cups. 2 cheap drinks will easily cost you 50$. The breakfast/dinner restaurant ("Red Marlin") is nice but a little bit outdated. The breakfast buffet is no different than any cheap motel. The dinner was exquisite, fantastic food, but the price tag will amount to a rent payment. Finally, *bill surcharges are not ok. Display your full prices clearly*.

The property is great for kids and families with the pool, waterslides and small gaming area. It is also convenient to walk to the marina for any cruises. However, there are only 2 dining options. One closes at 7pm and the other closes at 10pm. Also, our room was missing towels and pillowcases, which seemed as though it was not cleaned properly. Our toilet also clogged and we were locked out of our room one night.

Beautiful property, location, and views. I attended a conference at the resort, and the facilities and staff were very good. Finding dinner was a problem for me. The "Market" and the small restaurant near my room both closed at 5pm, before I got out of the conference. The only food option at the resort was the restaurant on the far end of the campus. I am disabled and walk with a cane, and this presented a real hardship after being on my feet for much of the day at the conference. This restaurant does not offer room delivery of any kind. I ended up eating popcorn and protein bars from the gift shop for dinner two nights. Please make the entire resort, particularly food options, more accessible to the disabled. Thank you.
