Shocked by the price of parking or that we even had to pay for parking! Can't eat sausage and there was no other meats in those 12 days. Pool was freezing and thought there was a hot tub. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The parking is enclosed, but they charge $16 a day which seems excessive. There’s no where else to park and why charge??? The room was fine, the breakfast was a hot breakfast. The desk clerk was very nice.

Bathroom was dirty, there was hair on bathtub from previous guest I guess. It didn’t smell clean at all. There is only one mirror in bathroom. Coffey machine was not working.

First impression of my room was that it was superficially clean but very worn with peeling paint and an odd odor. I took a shower and the shower curtain almost fell off. I found it odd that even with the bathroom fan going, the mirror remained fogged up for at least an hour. After the shower, I noticed that the carpet was sticky, and it had made my feet dirty! In the morning, I noticed that not only had my sweaty clothes from the day before not dried despite the AC being on all night, but even my clean clothes were damp. By this time, the room had a distinctly musky odor. I complained about the room and was moved to a different one. It had a different funky smell, but at least the carpet wasn't sticky. Again, my damp clothes did not dry. While I was not bothered by street noise, I could hear every word that anyone said in the hallway. The breakfast offered a good selection for a sugar addict, but the quality was poor, I think the eggs were powdered, and there were no healthy options. Seating in the dining room is limited. They probably assume that nobody would eat there more than once.

Please do proper clean on carpet,it smells so bad, needs wash. The room smells. It doesnt have good ventilation. I need to open the window to release smell. Lack of table, we put some of our stuffs on the floor. The curtain smells dust, needs wash.

Our room was very very dirty, the shower floor was black from neglect. The room had a strange almost mold like smell. I had showered and walked around in the room and only a few minutes later my feet were black from the dirty carpet. This Comfort Inn was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. In terms of value there hardly is any as i was charged $142.50 half of what i thought was total before i arrived, then was charged another $275 upon check in and $100 for incidentals then today our last day there another charge for $142.50? Stay away from this place.

Our room was near the freeway and ice machine. It was loud. Also the outside light was shining in our room. The black out curtain had holes and didn’t shut all the way. The bed was comfortable though.

Our suite was very noisy. In the living room area there are two skylights to bring in natural light into the area. Since the hotel is next to a major freeway, all the traffic noise comes through those skylights. It was hard to hear one think when sitting in that space. The sleeping area didn’t seem to have an issue with noise, I’m not sure if they have windows or not. Please note that, the property charges a daily fee for parking.

Wanted to check in early, and called morning of, but could not as hotel desk told us hotel it was FULL so check in was 4. Checked in at 4,dropped off our bags, left hotel and back at 10 pm. After settling in and going to sleep, realized we are about 100 feet from the very busy and noisy freeway 5! TERRIBLE location and too much traffic noise to sleep! At 11:30 pm, not about to ask to change rooms after bags are unpacked and in our pajamas! Once you turn off tv, you can hear loud traffic noise, very thin windows. Ask for room opposite freeway, better yet, stay somewhere else. Would NOT recommend for the price, neighborhood feels unsafe. Don’t take the kids here. NO comfort at this Inn!

Property could use some updating but it was clean. The room was muggy/damp feeling and the air conditioning was not on. I turned on the air conditioning but it took the rest of the day and into the early morning to really feel like it was working full force. The air should be turned on high so when guests arrive it is cold and comfortable. Guests can always turn to low or turn it off. But it’s hard to cool down when you let the room get warm and stuffy.

I’ve stayed here before, but was a little disappointed this time. My room only had a single lamp for lighting the entire room (except for the bathroom light). There was no desk or table in the room, and as I work remotely I had to ironing board as a work table. The property overall is good, but this particular room was lacking.

Front desk lady was rude. We called because our TV wouldnt work. She said she would be there in a couple minutes. 45 mins later, we got the TV running. My husband called to let her know. Before he could say anything she yelled “I’m busy.” My husband yelled back I called to let you know it came on. She hung up. We went to the office and no one was there. This was 730 pm

They cheated me out of my parking fee! I was promised a parking fee waiver for my inconvenience by another driver parking so close to me that I couldn’t get in my car I had to wait an hour until they finally got the guest out of the room to move the car and I still did not get my refund! Very disappointing customer service from front desk

We didn't even end up staying at the hotel. We accidentally chose the wrong date and when we called to make the change they said they did not do that nor did they provide a refund due to 3rd party business with Hotels.com. I asked to speak to a manager and they said the manager was on vacation. Like what? Not nice at all. Wouldn't want to stay at a place where they don't treat people well and do the right thing. Customer service 👎👎👎

The hotel itself was great - parking was under the hotel took some getting used to but worked out. Breakfast was great. Lots of homeless people in the area, some were stalking tourist (us) with bad intentions. The city of SD need to get a grip on the homeless issue, until they do we won't be back.

Really nice spot close to the freeway and walkable to Old Town. We had a room facing the 5 entrance, but it was surprisingly not too loud. Pool in the courtyard is really nice for relaxing.

Hotel was clean, bed extremely comfortable. Staff super nice and courteous. Pool area was nice, towels provided. Breakfast looked good but we didn’t partake. Quick walk to old town park area, unsure about that area, we did walk by a homeless person, sadly, and some construction. But not a bad walk at all. Only slight downside was a bit of highway noise, but prob the rooms away from road would be quieter. Overall a good experience, great deal, recommend if you’re visiting old town or want to be close to airport but not ON the airport.

I wanted to visit Old town San Diego and this place is just a few of blocks away that I could have walked over to old town. The hotel is clean and modern. The room was just like it shows online. The hotel offered free breakfast and that was good. The dinning area was updated, clean and food was constantly being refilled. Eggs, sausage patties, toast, waffles and more. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay agin.

Older hotel that shows her age with slow draining sinks for both our rooms, minuscule underground parking spots, older carpets and a tiny lobby. However, the property is maintained by a very friendly and helpful staff who are constantly cleaning. The beds are comfy and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast has waffles, bagels, English muffins, sausage, eggs, packaged muffins, cereals, yogurt, package oatmeal, fruit, tea, coffee & juices. Older temperamental toaster that should be retired. Breakfast will tie you over until lunchtime where you can walk to some amazing Mexican food & TJ type shopping
