Read the fine print there is no pool on property. The office staff was never any help would always say they didnt know to any question I would ask. Location is nice and close to restaurants and beach, other than that would never stay here again.

They were able to put me in another room because they had me in a third floor room and no elevator. Parking was down the street at another hotel. No ice machine unless you walked to the other hotel down the street. No one said it wasn’t working until you asked should have been disclosed when checking in. The room was in a hallway with no view except the wall or alley.

The hotel was clean, strong smell of bleach-had to air out room. Room very small and dated. Looked nothing like the pictures online. Asked for ice machine and its a blick away on another property. Hotel was conveniently located to beach and restaurants, once we found a tight parking spot we didnt have to move car all weekend.

Reasonably priced, rooftop seating to watch the sunset over the beach, and friendly staff that gave us a free room upgrade without even saying a thing! I will be back :)

Well it ain’t no four seasons or Hilton but for the price and just a place to sleep it’s ok. Just to let you know for the older seniors there is no elevator

Great location, good beach access, excellent professional staff. Only downside was dressers and end tables slightly dated, and pool was closed for repairs. Excellent proximity to restaurants.

They need to change their pictures to say pool is at hotel up the street. They do not have a pool on site like it showed and was led to believe everything else was good. And it shows pictures like they’re on the boardwalk but they’re not.

Hi this hotels location is great. But so sad to say that the rooms were very dusty had smell of chemicals such as insects killing agents and other smells rugs were dirty. We all got sick after one night. The reat of our trip was ruined. Checkin was at 3pm i cane earlier and said room wasnt ready. Came back at 3pm and waited 20 more mins until my room got ready. No toilet paper in the washroom. I never give a bad review but sorry i had too. The best part of this hotel is the location near bars and restaurants and beach.

Mold in bathroom. Very slow check in. (Wait outside until it's your turn and unfriendly.) Stuck us in a dark cave of a room. Really noisy - every time someone got ice around the corner we could hear it, plus cars, voices, etc. At one point someone was smoking weed and the smell was strong in our room, so the ventilation sucked, too. The only good thing about our stay was the proximity to the beach.

Simple hotel, very close to the boardwalk/beach. Lots of restaurant options within walking distance. Not a ton of parking but we always found a spot! Room was clean, had a fridge, bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is in a perfect location just steps away from the beach and downtown area. Check in was quick however only one customer allowed in the office at a time. Our room key didn't work and when going back to the office i had to stand outside and wait as there was a customer inside. A little inconvenient. The room was clean at glance, however, there was a thick film of dust and dirt on the bathroom window sill and baseboards. There were stains on the walls. Door knob and light switch area had dirty stains as if never wiped clean. The overall cleanliness of the room was not great. You can tell rooms are not deep cleaned or scrubbed, just a quick change of sheets and towels.

I was completely disgusted with my first room and they moved me to a better room but not by much. Like someone smoked an ashtray and turned on the AC full blast. Idk who these people reviewing these things but they have a low bar. Location is its best trait. I’ll never stay here again though. Dirty, dirty, dirty everywhere! Gross!

Great location right on the block for the beach and close to dining, bars, coffee shops. Convenient parking and easy access to the roads out of PB. The room was a bit noisy and the A/C wasn’t running well but overall great place to stay.

This is a jenky motel that wouldn’t -or shouldn’t be more than $50 a night except it’s a block from the beach. Peeling wallpaper and mold in the bathroom, the buttons were broken off the hairdryer which would only run 40 seconds at a time before overheating. Worst- cheap pillows ever. Great location, nice front desk staff.

I get that it is close to the beach, that’s cool, but I can’t see it from my window. However the picture of the hotel on the app is very different from the actual hotel, Very deceiving. The hotel on the outside needs refurbishing… the stairs and there was trash outside in the parking area. If I had come here in person to see it for myself, I would have never stayed here for the price. The hotel sign needs to be refurbished and painted. The room has a moldy smell to it. I am very disappointed.

I enjoyed having the extra space in the sitting room. Location was excellent half a block from the beach and close to shopping and restaurants. The decor could use an update, upholstery on one of the chairs was torn up.

Being just three or so blocks from the beach and promenade is the greatest asset of this property. The staff happily accommodated my request for a ground floor room. Plenty of dining options in walking distance. There is very limited parking on the property. Room was very small and did not have a chair or even a small desk. That would keep me from returning.

The noise was horrendous. I didn’t sleep at all due to the paper thin walls and upstairs guests pounding around all throughout the day/night. I called the front desk multiple times to report the excessive noise and it never ceased. The noise was so loud. The room was very run down. Lights not working/burned out, wallpaper ripped and torn on the wall, doorhandles falling off. I will never be staying at this hotel again.

This is an older, well-used establishment whose most outstanding feature (to me) was its one block walk to spectacular Pacific Beach. My room was clean, but the bed was a bit uncomfortable and had only a thin bedspread and an even thinner blanket. I was actually cold and had to turn up the heat at night (which I never do). There was no floor mat in the bathroom so I had to use one of the two large towels for that purpose after showering. There was a rather noisy little refrigerator and a microwave in the room. The people in the office were great.

I would start by saying, the staff were very nice and helpful and the hotel was a few blocks from the beach. There is also free parking, which was great. Now for the cons; The walls are thin and the floors are creaky , so you hear when someone is walking around and you hear conversations from other rooms. The carpet was also not the cleanest and there were some gnats in/around my bathroom, nothing too crazy but I did notice them. I would only recommend this place if you’re staying 2-3 nights, anything more than that, might frustrate you.

Check-in was later than I was told, room had no table, or chair. People were walking past my window yelling into my room, cars along the street were extremely loud in my room, front desk receptionist was extremely rude, and cussed me out at 6am in the morning when I asked them to stop the people from screaming in the room above me.

When we arrived our room wasn't ready for 3 pm check-in and we had to wait till 4:30 to be able to get inside the room. Next day nobody cleaned the room and we had to request new towels and other stuff at the front desk. Very disappointing.

The people who work the front were as helpful and warm as day old toast. It was also lame that the didn't provide free coffee at both locations. It was served only at the other property. Our room smelled bad, and was barely cleaned. However, the location was great!

When I received confirmation of my reservations it stated there were special check in instructions. Guests required to call in 24 hours ahead. No phone number was provided . Tried 4 different phone numbers listed in various places for the property. All 4 alleged employees were of no use. Automated reservation requested confirmation number. . Several attempts to enter my number did not work. Gave up. Showed up at property without confirmation with no issues. Desk clerk had no explanation. Do you???

The location cannot be beat. Half block to Pacific Beach and restaurants bars and coffee shops. No daily maid service and no food service at hotel site, hotel is a little tired. Great price for a clean hotel with friendly staff. There is some street noise but you need to expect that when you're in a busy part of town.

The room was good and actually had a view of the ocean. The only downside is that the website said they have free breakfast and they do not. We went down the street to the Drift Cafe which was great.
