Great little Inn right by the harbor. The beach is just across the street and dining options are walkable. The pool and hot tub were fantastic. They had coffee and tea all day and night, and they even had wine and cheese in the evening. The staff was very friendly and quick to help with anything we needed. If the hotel is full parking could be an issue, but there was plenty when we checked in.

Beautiful, small hotel along the waterfront in a prime location in Santa Barbara. The combination of pool/hot tub/parking included/comped bicycle rentals gave this spot the edge over several similar properties in the immediate area. We had a first floor room on a lovely green courtyard looking out over the pool and hot tub and beyond to the beach. Our room wasn't large but it was clean and comfortable and the bathroom had a tub, which we love! We enjoyed the easy walkability to nearby restaurants and bars, the large hot tub (which was wonderfully hot) and especially enjoyed the free two-hour bike rentals, which we used to ride up and down the Beach Trail. The staff were friendly and took time to give us a lot of great recommendations when we checked in. We can't wait to visit again!

Great location. Walkable to everything. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice and clean rooms. Free Happy hour and free breakfast. Even the other guest were friendly. Bikes to rent for free. Overall, it was a great stay.

Outstanding beachfront property. We enjoyed the complementary happy hour, with self pour bar, nice continental breakfast, but with fresh berries. Pool and hottub were nice, rooms were clean and quiet, and the beds were comfortable.

Didnt end up stayinh the night as room was in poor condition and beds were not comfortable. Overall just a motel quality hotel. Not the cleanest property and id say more a 2 star hotel. Worse than in the pictures. Ended up going to another hotel down the street.

We stayed there several nights 13 years ago and loved it then but this time around not so much unfortunately. The room smelled terribly musty (we were on the ground floor) and the bed was absolutely terrible! I like a firm mattress but in this case it was as hard as a board. Breakfast consists of toast, bagel, cereal, hard boiled eggs, bananas, tea and coffee, very plain not much there. The grounds were well kept and the staff was very friendly. It’s a nice walk to the pier and restaurants along the beach.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a very nice balcony. Grounds were very nice and well maintained. Location was great. Parking was easy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic but good. Easy walk to great restaurants and bars, the boardwalk and the beach. Only complaint- getting the room cleaned was way too much effort for a multi day stay. Need to have daily service the standard instead of having to call or go to the lobby.

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. The staff was fabulous. The property was very cozy and absolutely the cleanest hotel I have been to. Our room was wonderful. And the location was perfect. We had an easy walk for dinner and a great location for walks along the harbor. Definitely a fabulous, stop on our trip.

Everything was good for the most part! Be aware of a couple of things: 1) you can hear other people in other rooms. 2) Rooms could use more vacuuming along the edges and corners of the carpet… was not a fan of seeing years of dust along the perimeters of the carpet in the room. 3) Also was not a fan of how much mold there was in the crevices of the windows and air conditioning. Otherwise was a good stay, comfy clean bed, nice safe area. Overall 3.8/5

Our room on the third floor had a lovely ocean view which included views of the marina and the pier, very beautiful! Breakfast was simple but very nice, and service was very friendly! Will definitely stay again!

This property was OK, nothing special. It is in an amazing area surrounded by incredible properties and everything is within walking distance to an ocean view. I would have given a higher rating if the walls at this hotel were not so thin. We had a ground floor room and the people above us were so inconsiderate and loud that we finally called the front desk to complain. I’m giving a high rating for customer service because the lady at the front desk was very kind and offered us a later check out, but that didn’t do us any good for the lack of sleep because of the noise.

Here for a short business trip. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great area and seemed to have safe surroundings. I always get nervous with Inn's but this one was great. Room was clean a little small but sufficient. Walls are super thin, can hear neighboring rooms.

We have stayed in a number of hotels when touring California. This is an average 3 star with the basic set of amenites in the room. Reception was prompt and we were allocated a first floor room. It was clean and had a reasonable bed. The shower was quite low pressure and there needs to be some more storage space. Free Parking is available. The breakfast arrangements are quite basic, and needs more variety. The hotel is next to a busy road and we were occasionally woken up by noise outside.

Everything was clean and well-maintained but the place felt very cramped to me. The other hotels in the area seemed the same so I guess it is how they were built back then. The room was hot and stuffy when I arrived, and the window AC unit was super loud - not possible to sleep when it was on.

Stayed at the lower level and I would think the sliding doors would be secure since it’s down stairs and next to the street but the safety pin it has anyone can just open without. Sliding door is very old and with the original locks. Same thing with the AC. Bathroom feel small. Shower stalls are slim, not meant for tall people. Your elbows will hit the walls.

I was on a quick business trip to SB. I loved how close to the water this hotel was. The staff was consistently very friendly and attentive. The morning breakfast was just right and the person on staff did a great job keeping the bar stocked and ready to go. Would recommend.

Love this hotel. My flight from Dallas kept getting delayed due to weather and maintenance issues. I called the hotel a few times to let them know my check in time would be later and later (2am!). My flight was finally cancelled at 1:30am Dallas time and I called the hotel to let them know I wouldn’t be checking in until the next afternoon due to flight cancellation. When I finally made it the next afternoon they were very understanding and didn’t charge me for the missed night! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Great location and the grounds are very nice and quiet. My room is as very clean Definitely recommend!!

We stayed at this hotel near the marina where, by boat, we scattered the ashes of a loved one at sea. Staff could not have been more thoughtful, accomodating, & friendly. AFTER we checked out, they even took pictures for our group & let us use the gardens & pool area for a small wake. Remarkabke kindness at such a sad time. Thank you staff of West Beach Inn!

The front desk guy (with glasses can’t remember his name) was very nice and helpfu with his recommendations around the area and with my luggage. He was able to correct my room accommodation made through Expedia. The only thing I didn’t like was that our room was not clean by housekeeping. I was even asked at the front desk( and was even noted) if I want our room to be cleaned. The property location was excellent with a beautiful view of the harbor. Would stay here again.

Was a good stay I loved how walkable it is. the morning breakfast wasn’t all that great but it’s convenient and our bathroom ceiling had a huge leak the night before we checked out. Our room was like a small bedroom, just room to walk around the bed and into the bathroom. Walls are thin so it’s easy to hear outside of the room and also the local train. Besides that it’s very walkable, the beach/pier is across the street and there are great local food spots you can walk to from here. We tried chads and Finney’s draft house-would recommend both!

We only stayed here for one night as we drove down the coast but we enjoyed our stay at the West Beach Inn, room was as advertised, pool and hot tub were great for a dip. Location was fantastic, right on the beach with easy walking distance to the pier, harbour and shopping/dining.

I spent two nights having a hard time getting to sleep: the mattress was horrible, old and of bad quality, the pillows either !! How come an expensive hotel do not spend money buying good quality mattress and pillows ??? Also the continental breakfast that they say it is a luxury one … it is just like others hotels !

I really enjoyed my stay at the West Beach Inn Santa Barbara. It is very clean, easy parking, beautiful location right across from the waterfront, the beach and the harbor. There are so many restaurants within walking distance. The pier is across the street with restaurants and shops! A really great location for a perfect vacation! The hotel has great perks with a hardy continental breakfast, wine & cheese in the early evening, nice pool and jacuzzi. Parking is included and located behind the building. The staff is friendly and helpful.
