Staff was nice. Clean & comfy room. Wish notified earlier no breakfast due to refurbish construction. Beautif view from grounds. Walkable to beach & surrounding areas- restaurants. Clean pool, but no hot tub which ai was looking forward to. Would stay again when refurbished

Breakfast is not their best and room upstairs had kids and they were jumping a lot. Didn’t read the part that parking it’s seperately . Be ready to pay an additional $10 more.

Hotel is going through some renovations, but other than that I would highly recommend staying here! Literally only about 5-10 min walk to the Pier in such a beautiful area as well! Beds were super comfy!

Hotels says there isn't a parking fee there is one for $10 a night and if you'd like to stay late it's $25 hr. The breakfast was mid. And the restaurant is closed

Hotel is undergoing some renovations, so the main building was closed and a temporary office was set up in one of the rooms. Incredibly spacious rooms with ocean views, close to the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I was excited to stay here since it was so close to the beach, but ended up being disappointed. There were ants all over the bathroom floor, spiders everywhere (one ended up falling on me when I was in bed), and the clothes iron was broken. I tried calling the front desk several times about the issues, but nobody would ever answer. I let them know my issues through a message and after checkout, but I haven’t heard back from anyone. I would not stay here again unless I absolutely had to. You also have to pay $10 per day for parking.

The view from the hotel was nice and the location was good as well. Really awful hotel. 2 different groups that we were with stayed at the Pierpont Inn and they had bed bugs so we were all exposed to bed bugs. We saw something crawling on the floor in our room and on the ac unit and a manager came to inspect our room and said it’s not bed bugs. The cleanliness of the hotel is not it. The place is not worth the price of bed bugs.

I enjoyed the stay for the price and knew it would be a safe space for the kids. Toward the end of the stay, my daughter ended up with a flea in her hair. I know this is a dog friendly hotel but didnt expect this! I thought it was something else when I pulled it out of her hair and as I inspected, it jumped off me.Then, I woke up with 6 bites on my feet and body. This was my biggest concern during my stay

The rooms are dated and dirty. The windows look like they have not been cleaned in years. You can’t enjoy the ocean view because the window is filthy. The room smelled bad. The free breakfast is awful. There were literally no towels in our room and no towels at the pool. I arrived about 5pm and my room was not even ready. I will never stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here after a previous trip here about 7 years ago. A lot has changed. There is no restaurant, the window that looked toward the pier was filthy, there were ants in our room and a nasty odor coming from the drains. The ceiling was black by the heating vent, breakfast was ok but not great. Location is fantastic and we still enjoyed our time there but sad to see the property not being maintained to the previous standard. Mentioned my concerns to the woman at check out and she said she’d return our deposit in 7 days and pass my comments along. She didn’t make any notes and went onto the next guest. Felt like she was offended more than concerned. This is a beautiful, historic property in a great location. I wish they had the money and management to resurrect it instead of just going through the motions.

1. Key cards did not work during my stay. I had to get new ones every night. 2. Found roaches in my room,i stayed in room 312. 3. Trash by the stairs, people smoking in the parking lot. Will not stay here in the future. Stay away from this place.

This hotel was horrible. Very old and dated. The floor was peeling, the chairs were worn and torn, the sink had rust, there is no closet but instead a worn and dirty cabinet. The towels were like sandpaper and about the size of a washcloth. The bed felt like I was sleeping on plywood. The rooms are right on the freeway and the noise made it impossible to sleep. The office looks like a hold over from when the hotel was first built and the staff was quite rude.

Smelled like mildew. No housekeeping in the two days we were there. Understaffed so didn’t answer phone for additional towel and toiletries request. AC didn’t work so hot and muggy. Nice view but deafening freeway noise.

It is an old/historic hotel that I believe is in the process of updating which it needs. Room was clean except carpets which need cleaning. Bed was comfy. It is very noisy outside due to freeway, but room was not bad. If you like the beach it is a great location.

Good spot for a beach day. Quick, easy access to the beach. Good rooms with a view of the water. Breakfast was good and convenient. Very close to the ‘Screaming Eagles’ highway so very audible in all parts of the property. Property is big and has lots of parking.

Room 510 had some issues...after check-in, I went to use my key card and it failed. I was able to find a maintenance person and they called the front desk and the person who works the desk verified that I am the correct person for the room. They then told them to check my ID which was weird considering I just checked in. The maintenance person then used his key card to unlock the door. When he tried to open the door, it wouldn't open completely...he stated the previous guest had tried to break-down the door and that he needed to hammer the frame. Once that resolved, I tried to get on the balcony, but the sliding glass door wouldn't open. I went to my work truck and got tools to fix this. I then tried to lay on the bed and it was creaky. They need a new mattress and box spring. Other than that, it was a decent hotel, with an amazing view of the ocean.

A California coastal "classic" that has seen better days. Beds are comfortable but the property definitely needs a refresh. Not dirty but curtains are stained and carpet appears to be from the 1970's motel standard. Construction of reception area seems to have stalled, leading to needing to wander into a small back area to check-in. Hot water failed in an entire building during our stay.

We only came for one night, but could not get our room till 4:30pm. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the suite when we finally got in, but it was literally above the highway and car noise never stopped since we arrived till we left the next day. The rooms are a bit run down and need updating and a fresh coat of paint. While it was a nice king size bed, it was extremely squeaky loud just sitting on the edge and/or getting up from it.

The room itself was fine and the staff was most excellent. I guess it felt like the downstairs from the reception desk was akin to a dungeon. A bit rough around the edges. Walls are pretty thin so you could hear neighbors sneezing and talking. The refrigerator didn’t work so some breakfast food I bought spoiled. We weren’t staying long so we didn’t bother the staff with these things. We would stay here again though, just in the better rooms on the other side of the hotel (this was our second visit).

The surrounding area is beautiful. Nothing is walking distance aside from the beach but a short Uber ride will take you downtown where there are some great restaurants. The staff unfortunately, a specific manager who looks like she probably has spent a little too much time on the business end of a pookie comes off as harsh and aggressive. I was double charged and then told that I wouldn’t be allowed back in my room to even retrieve my belongings without paying for a charge that I disputed on my credit card from a previous stay two months before. I had to call the police to get assistance retrieving my belongings. It was embarrassing and I wouldn’t recommend giving them access to your credit card information or your belongings!!!

This is my second time staying at The Pierpont. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the facilities are clean and comfortable. Being an historic property under renovation, there are certain cosmetic issues, but those are superficial and didn't effect our stay. The walk to the beach was easy and the surrounding grounds beautifully kept. The complimentary breakfast is better than typical fake hotel food. What else can I say? I can recommend The Pierpont and would stay again if I need a place in Ventura. Thanks!

Our room was clean and comfortable as usual. The problem we had was the phone system, in house and out. I tried multiple times to call the front desk on the morning of our departure, and nobody answered. I finally, out of frustration, called the hotel number, and after seveal tries someone FINALLY answered. Next, I left my electric razor in the room. AGAIN, after multiple tries from home, someone finally answered. I was told to have a return label printed and email it to them, and they would return my razor. The next day I went to my local UPS store and paid for a return label, and to have it emailed to the Pierpont. I wanred to be sure they received it, so that afternoon I ATTEMPTED to call the hotel, and of course I couldn't connect, no matter which option I tried. # 1-5 tge recording said "I couldn't hear your chouce. pkease try again," OVER AND OVER. It NEVER asked me to say the option. In frustration, I finally sent an email, and I FINALLY received an answer, that they had received my label. I've never had a problem with anyone there in person, but the phone system is a mess. VERY poor for customer service...

Unfriendly staff. Air conditioning didn't work, and they knew it. But they pretended to be trying to fix it. I asked for housekeeping at 2:00 pm and was told that it was too late. The room was extremely poorly lit. The TV didn't work. The air conditioning didnt work. The mattresses on the beds were very soft and old. I paid around $800 for two nights. You would think that would garner some service. But it didn't. Seriously, I'm pretty shocked.

We enjoyed our stay at Pierpont Inn! We walked to the beach each day, and it was close restaurants. It was clean and well cared for. The bed was comfy. The flowers around the property were beautiful!

Extremely noisy and should not be listed as beach front… there are 8 lanes of the 101 highway between the Hotel and the beach. The 101 never stops… cars during the day and long haul trucks during the evening.

Pierpoint Inn was a nice place to stay as it had ample ample and was right across the freeway from the beach. It was only a 4 to 5 minute walk from our room to the sand. OUr room was a bit loud due to the freeway being so close and the security feature on the door did not work. But, the rest of the room as clean and in good order. The only other downside was we went to breakfast at about 8:30 and the eggs and potatoes were already cold.

it was very nice, and the rooms and view are great the morning breakfast was very cold, and there were not many choices the eggs were cold and you could tell processed food ( I get it, for cost and color changing of break down of real eggs) potatoes very dry and cold great coffee server was very nice so was the cat outside

Affordable accommodations near the beach and Ventura Pier. Good hot breakfast bar and decent gym room. Pool, gardens and view are great. Plumbing needs work as bad smells emanate from shower drain. Overall worth the price (which is a bit lower than the corporate hotels nearby)
