Property is very nice. However, there is no self-parking. Valet is the only parking method, and they charge $30 per day for that. The Buffett breakfast is very nice, and it is offered only on weekends.

Spacious lobby. Friendly staff. Water bottle filling station. Concierge room and services were excellent. Pool was small, but a nice place to cool off. Large fitness center with a variety of cardio equipment, weight machines, and a separate room with free weights and benches.

I was here to see and visit family and friends. The room was very clean and pretty quiet. Gym was a good size and served the purpose. I wish there were some sort of area rugs at the sides or foot of the bed for a soft land when getting out. The floor planks need adjusting. But overall a good experience

Check-in was slow because there was only one service agent at the desk. It was Christmas Eve, but that doesn’t mean short-staffing is okay. Also off-putting is the parking situation, which is offered on the hotel property as valet-only for a charge. Otherwise, the hotel is well-maintained and comfortable for the price. Plus, the location is convenient to downtown Walnut Creek and the freeway.

The check in was great and the property was semi-clean. When we got to our room, it wasn’t worth the price. The free hand lotion was empty, which tells me that the room wasn’t gone through properly. I was happy to see that the shower had a hair wash, conditioner, and body soap. Sadly, those bottles were empty, also. The tile floors were not clean at all. At 8:15 am the next morning, house cleaning was knocking on my door to see if they could clean up the room. I had not even checked out, let alone ready to leave.

Hotel is directly next door to an apartment complex, so the view looked at somebody's front doors. Plus the garbage area was below our room and it was trash day so we heard the garbage truck very early on our visit.

I can’t say we have any major complaints about this hotel, but it was just OK. On the positive side, the beds were very comfortable. We were lucky enough to have a room with an outside window, but I would not have liked the inside windows that most of the rooms had. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of the pool, but it was very cold and very noisy, being right next to a major road. The main thing I didn’t like was the decor of the room. The lighting was very harsh and bright white. The furniture was sleek and modern, but very hard hard and not cozy at all.

We've stayed here many times. We liked the decor much better in the past before they completed a "renovation" and turned the rooms into sterile, modern, cheap-looking rooms. They long sofa in the king rooms is too uncomfortable to even use and the floors of wood-look linoleum (?) leave a lot to be desired. On the plus side, the rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. I mentioned in my last review (a couple months ago) that the pool chairs were ripped and was glad to see, this time, that they'd been replaced with new chairs. Valet parking is $30/night. They no longer offer a shuttle to downtown. Employees are all very efficient and friendly.

Nice hotel but the room they put us in (which we were told was an upgrade) was literally a brick wall away from the freeway. Traffic noise ALL NIGHT LONG. In addition a room next to us has a dog that was “yapping” past midnight. There were also several occasions that teenagers ere very loud and partying behind our room outside. VERY bad night sleep! I won’t stay there again or refer it unless they can guarantee a quiet room location.

We had a great stay. The staff was wonderful and the hotel was very clean and modernized. There was only one thing that was unfortunately very disappointing and that was that the beds were incredibly uncomfortable and left us with backaches every day of our trip. We lost sleep and were in need of constant advil after we woke up. We are in our early 30s and are healthy and adaptable to most places but this unfortunately put such a negative spin on an otherwise was a great stay that we could not book here again unless something changes with their beds. Otherwise a great hotel.

My stay was unfortunately complicated by a billing issue. My room was arranged and paid for by a third party prior to my arrival. When I checked in, the front desk said they could not authorize that payment, so I was asked to put my card on file with the understanding that the company would resolve it overnight. At checkout, I was told by the front desk that the company had already called and authorized payment. However, the full room charge was still placed on my card. When I called the hotel afterward to ask why, I was told the company needed to call again to authorize the charge. I’m confused as to why a second authorization is required when I was explicitly told at checkout that authorization had already been completed. The lack of clarity and follow-through made this process frustrating and stressful. It's still un resolved, so I had to go ahead and dispute the charges as it's still unclear as to if we're both charged.

I was checked in and sent on my way up to room 247 with my 93 year old mom in the wheelchair. When we got to the room I realized the keys were not in the sleeve. I had to leave Mom in the wheelchair and go down to sort it out. When we got selttled in the room I realized the this was not the room I paid for. Not 2 queen beds, double. No handicap shower assessable as listed on my itemery. Small room! Not pleased!

The front desk staff was wonderful. I was visiting for a family emergency. I ended up losing my Dad while I was staying. The front desk staff went out of their way to comfort me, gave me a box of Kleenex, hugs, and were so kind. So appreciated it. I look forward to my next stay.

Bathroom is not well stocked. Four of us had to share and there were no toothpaste or floss. All day snacks were underwhelming. We asked for extra blankets online and in person on phone but very busy staff was delayed. Check in was an hour late but staff comped us a snack. However it was an unpleasant experience

Valet did not attend to our car in a timely manner upon arrival and then said “sorry…”. Room had a broken tv service which was evident because tv controls not wrapped up and cable was disconnected. One lobby elevator set of buttons was not working. Was told buffet will be served next day. No buffet and not enough staff so breakfast was served over 1 hr from arrival. During check out, only question asked was regarding e-mail of receipt. No questions regarding stay and never received the final receipt for room via e-mail. I have been to this Walnut Creek Marriott before and the service and hospitality were good. Very disappointing.

Went for just a night getaway. The hotel had nice reviews and looked nice from the pictures. Upon checking in, there were multiple desk clerks either helping a guest, or on the phone. I waited in front of one of the clerks who was on the phone, but stood back as to not crowd her while she was on the phone.

A fire alarm sounded, and I had to walk from the fourth to the ground floor. When I got to the reception, they told us it was a false alarm. Why didn't they announce it in the public address system that it was a false alarm? I requested a foam pillow on June 11 at the reception. I called them again after 30 minutes to remind them of my request. No pillows came.

Title: Extremely Disappointed — Worst Customer Service Experience at Marriott I travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, and this was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Here’s what happened: I woke up at 5 AM to attend a work-related event and went downstairs for breakfast. An employee followed me all the way to the restaurant and asked if I was going to have breakfast. I said yes. Once I started getting my breakfast, another staff member asked me again. I confirmed I would be eating. She then said I needed to pay $18, removed toast from my plate, unplugged the toaster, and then asked me to leave. She threatened to call the police if I did not. I was a registered guest with a credit card on file. All they needed to ask was for my room number. This treatment was unacceptable. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS MARRIOTT AGAIN.

We stayed at the Walnut Creek Marriott because we were in the Bay Area for the holidays and we have family in Oakland, Concord and San Francisco. Walnut Creek seemed like a good, central location. The Walnut Creek Marriott is a nice property. The rooms were nice, clean, comfortable. The rooms suffer from what all hotel rooms suffer from: the heat cycles on and off, so temperature regulation at night can be an issue and the down comforters get too hot. Otherwise, no complaints. Plenty of hot water, nice beds, nice towels. The Marriott is in a good location. We walked to a coffee shop, Kevin's Noodle House, and a couple of other restaurants. The hotel is a short drive from lots more restaurants and shopping. Parking at the hotel was $16 per day or $30 with in and out privileges, but there is free parking a block away that we used without issue. That was a nice option. The lobby is large and quiet enough that I was able to work when our flight got cancelled and I had to work an extra couple of days from the hotel. It seems hotels no longer have business centers, but there is a large area for working, including tables with outlets. I would stay here again.

The only reason I give 4 star is I travel with my dogs which is why I chose Marriott it is Pet Friendly. However, there was no designated area to potty your pet. I had to walk the streets in an unfamiliar area to myself. And our room did not have a working refrigerator and our TV was unplugged and I assume because we had dogs were were put at the furthest point in the hotel next to 680 freeway where it was really loud. Also having parking available other than valet would also be nice.

Liked the staff a lot. They only have valet parking and its hard to drive into the property unless you are coming south on Main St. From the South, you have to drive past it, make U-turn, then you can drive to the entry. Parking is $30 a day if you drive.

I could hear the freeway. No noise otherwise. I wish full room service would return. They deliver it like door dash. Plastic utensils for a steak wasn’t that practical. I love when it use to come in on a table with white napkins and flatware. I hate the mini coffee pots and having to go downstairs to get coffee. Should bring back real Room service with a carafe of coffee. The valet helped me with my heavy bags and I seriously don’t mind tipping for that service. I would like to see room service back like before. Staff was friendly and helpful.

One of the worst Marriotts I have ever stayed at. Wanted to order room service on a Sunday morning and was told that room service is unavailable on the weekends. What??? Definitely will not stay there again.

Great experience at the Marriot. It was just a one night, but we loved the beds which were very comfortable. I love to walk so when I saw that Target was only a 10 minute walk, I hopped on the opportunity. The area is easily walkable. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious as well.

Our stay was great. Staff greeted us with smiles on their faces. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. I accidentally double booked my room and was charged twice. I was worried they were going to tell me there is nothing they can do, due to their cancellation policy. But they helped me right away and gave me my money back. They showed they cared. The breakfast was so good and worth the $18 per person! Parking was great! Will definitely be staying again!
