Rodeway Inn

This is a very strange place. The beds were decent and the staff was excellent but it feels like you stepped into 1979. It’s an old-style layout with weird The lobby/common area in the middle. The exhaust from all the ACs goes straight into the common area and it’s hot as heck. (Although the room units work well.) There’s an old, non-functional water slide in the pool area and lots of unused, strange spaces. It seemed a little pricey for the value and clean-ish but could definitely use an overhaul.

I saved up to take my family on this trip and was highly disappointed. The pictures on online are false advertisement and felt like I was in a bad dream and wanted to cry. I picked this hotel based off the kid amenities. Pool was closed the first night and the second night had a foam substance floating on top of it and no kids were using it. It seemed unhealthy to use. Game area was hot, waterfall broken and leaking, everything was broken besides ping-pong. Took our 6 and 4 year old to our room to put them in-front of the tv since there was nothing else to do and the tv didn’t work. Went and asked for a refund and was told no. Had to run out to purchase a Roku. We had one working plug in our room, when testing one plug I got shocked. Kept up both nights past 1 am by drunks playing pool. The horrible smell throughout the hotel was being masked by air fresheners and side doors being held open with buckets. Not sure how this place stays open but guessing it’s because of the false advertisement and a refund would be appreciated. The health department needs to do a walkthrough.

Trash can by the back door was overflowing and smelked really bad. The main atrium was very hot. Ice maker was empty. Pool and water slide were very nice. Hot tub was out of order. Room was nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was waffles, toast, cereal, etc. Good assortment of food. Overall would recommend.

We had a decent stay overall. The staff was friendly and very helpful throughout our visit. No hot breakfast other than waffle maker. The property itself felt a little dated and could use some updates. Unfortunately, the kiddie pool, slide, and hot tub were out of order during our stay, which was a disappointment. Lobby had a game room area which was fun for kids (age 9 and 12). Not a bad place, but a few updates would make a big difference.

Decent stay for the price. Hot tub was boarded up and water slide was shut down. Pool was very warm, which helped. Could have been a pretty cool pool area to spend some time if things were operating. Cool staff.

The place is older and I am not sure how long ago Quality Inn took over. Has an older indoor water park, but the slide is out of order, and they had plywood covering the hot tub... this is a post covid theme where the hotel chains just don't want to fix their stuff. If this was fixed I would take my family here while visiting the Sand Dunes. The Canteen was decent, and the place had a Ping-Pong table and foose ball and a pool table. The hall way by room 135 and 137 had an odd odor that I hope they could fix. This place would be great if Quality Inn takes the time to fix the small things. The bed was new and super comfortalbe.

No elevator to second floor. Older building but rooms are updated. Staff were helpful, nice and hard working.

Service: 5 stars for the service, the LADIES at the front desk were the sweetest, the guy is a jerk. Little shop near front desk: good selection, but they price gouge. Crazy expensive! Pool: not anywhere close to what is advertised. Pools and Slide was old and rusty, at least they had it gated off. Room: our bathroom door stuck like crazy, sweet lady at front desk said maintenance would not be able to get to it while we were there. Our bed creaked every time we turned. Location: was good, everything in town is close. Overall, you can tell they updated in some areas, but it still feels very dated.

This building has the potential to be awesome, however it was a flop. Some staff were very kind, while others couldn’t be bothered to do their job. The pool was what the kids were the most excited for, but the slide has been non-operational for SEVEN YEARS… and the small pool was freezing. Seems people in Alamosa don’t know how to fix water pumps and heaters… There were little things that were bothersome, like broken tiles on the floor and carpet with huge waves throughout, which created a tripping hazard in our private room and the rented conference room. None of the doors to the building were locked, even at night. Our large bath had no plug, and we wouldn’t have used it anyway due to the questionable contents down and around the drain. We stayed three nights and our room was never cleaned or restocked the entire time (and we never had our do not disturb card on the handle). As said, if the staff seemed to care a little more and put some effort in to shine this place up, people would likely want to come give it a go. Fix the slide, fix broken soap dispensers, provide items to actually allow the amenities claimed to be provided to be usable, smile at your customers, act like you have some pride in where you live and what you do for a living- that’s what I would tell anyone who cared to make this hotel better. This hotel could be so cool. Big missed opportunity and poor management. Sad it didn’t go different, as we will never be back when visiting the gators and sand dunes…

The pool was dirty and the slide for the pool was not working that is one reason we stayed here and I could only find one ice machine on the hall property and it was out of ice every time I when to get ice

The place is run down, trash everywhere, dirty, stinky. It’s a no smoking hotel, but our room smelled like cigarettes. After getting home, all the clothes in are suitcases smellled like cigarettes. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!

First, all of the staff was incredibly friendly. However, there were multiple cleanliness and safety hazards including leaking ceiling, wet carpet on the stairs that was a massive trip hazard, and the pool slides were questionably safe, and the water was noticeably unbalanced. Worst of all, I found finger nail clippings that were not mine in the bed. Gross. I will not be staying here again.

Bathroom not clean tub, toilet and floors dirty. Housekeeping did not enter room to fix beds, clean nor give us clean towels. Asked for check out receipt was not given one.

The couch in the room was covered in stains. We wouldn’t even put our luggage on it. The curtain looked like sauce or a thick drink exploded and wasn’t ever cleaned. The stains were brown and very large. We wore slides to shower because of black mold in the bathtub and on the ceiling. Broken furniture and sticky floor. Wifi kept messing up, front desk said they’d call the tech but it was never resolved. Loud music playing outside until 11:30pm. A dog barking during the night. Pool was cold and had a weird smell. Breakfast was only cereal, muffins, yogurts, and a waffle maker, no juices. The only positive was the bed was very clean. Possibly new mattress and sheets. You can tell it was a roadway inn until recently. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

There were mushrooms growing in the bathroom! I took a picture of it but expedia won't let me upload it. When I realized what it was (we originally thought it was caulk that was from the bathroom tiles to the wall) I went straight to the front desk and asked if there was any way that I could just leave to a different hotel and get a refund for the rest of the booked stay. She was really nice, but said she couldn't do that that I would have to talk to the general manager (we discovered this in the middle of the night). The next day I went to the front desk again and they just put us in a different room. Not once did the general manager come and try to make things right and the overnight woman I spoke to said she would inform her of the situation. The rooms also have a VERY strange smell in them, so much so that they put little air freshener pucks in the air conditioning units for each room. The hotel just seemed really run down, the swimming area had a kid area with a slide and little spouts of water. The spouts were barely working. I know I didn't pay a million dollars for this hotel, but it also wasn't dirt cheap. We will never be staying there again.

Im disappointed to say this was nearly the worst hotel stay ive ever had. First, the hotel room was covered in dog hair. From the couch, the floor, and the bed. Which already was a bad sign. Ive stayed in hotels that allow pets and never ever had that issue. Im allergic to dogs so it wasnt a good start. My husband goes to shower and finds nail clippings on the bathtub stopper. Disgusting.. another indication that the cleaning staff is absolutely negligent and is not doing their job right. The front desk was kind and welcoming. But I would never go back. Ive stayed in old hotels before. Im not bougie. I just expect the staff to clean like theyre supposed to. I saw on google reviews another customer said the same thing about the nail clippings! Never have I ever.. idk if this is their signature passive agressive move but that seems like a wild coincidence. Ill take my business next door at The Days Inn like we normally do.

Visually the room and bathroom were immaculate. The bed was super comfy. The one quite major disappointment was with the large all glass wall in shower. The water temp never went above slightly warm and the water pressure was extremely low. It made for a very disappointing shower. Quite surprising given the expense of staying there.

They had a very large game area. Room was remodeled. Bed was very comfortable. Heat/AC was adjustable for continous fan.

The bed was extremely comfortable, the staff were great, the room was good for the price, though carpeted floors would be an improvement. We were taken aback by the tiny toilet in the bathroom.

This hotel needs a little TLC. Felt very old. Carpet was old and stained and the room smelled musty. The shower was missing a shower head when we got there but they fixed that promptly. Walls were thin so it was noisy.

The hotel is really big with a swimming area and an entertainment area that had a pool table, ping pong table, and foosball tables. It was a nice surprise. You can tell the hotel is pretty old but they keep the rooms clean and updated. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice. I’d stay here again.

The room was clean, updated except for power. It looked like the console once had a plug strip in it but it was removed and the lamps were configured so that a charging block couldn’t be used. It’s 2025 - power for devices needs to be convenient. Public spaces dated and worn.

This is the strangest hotel I've ever stayed in. Our room had a window to the game area, and no window to the outside. The room was remodeled and clean. I really like the vinyl flooring versus carpet. The rest of the hotel is in a sad state of decay. Sadly, I could make the same statement about most of Alamosa. We stayed here with a high school basketball team, and it was fine, but I hope not to stay here again. Staff was nice.

The wifi connection was pretty slow.

This place is great if you’re looking to stop by the great sand dunes. It is a little outdated, but the rooms are still clean and cozy. There is ac and great shower water pressure. Town isn’t great, but the staff helped us a ton find the hidden gems for some great lunch and dinner. Staff was lovely and this is a great and easy spot for the price.

As others have said, the hotel is rundown and in ill repair, as well as as dirty. Hygiene everywhere was suspect, bed was lumpy and had to go to second room before finding air conditioning that worked. however, Kate, who worked at the front desk was helpful and friendly.

Clean room, friendly staff

Gentleman at the front desk, I think his name was Dennis, was very courteous and friendly despite the fact that Quality in has everyone checking in at 3pm which is a problem when you only have one person at the desk. I think you should get Dennis help so you value him as an employee. I realize people dont want to work these jobs but Dennis was doing a fantastic job despite 20 people in line.

Staff was awesome and room was great. Would recommend to everyone.

Person at check-in not friendly kind of rude and uncaring. No first floor rooms available and didn’t care how my disabled husband was going to get to the second floor as NO elevator. I booked 2 rooms with king beds and accessible shower and received neither. I don’t remember if I paid more for this or not. Entry way and hallways were very dirty. Room appears clean. Beds were comfortable-only positive! Water either very hot or Luke warm. Not sure how you have the name Quality hotel -no quality here!

Off the highway, beautiful building, spacious and comfortable. Just 2 minutes drive away is down town with several restaurants.

The Comfort Inn is convenient for travelers heading to the Great Sand Dunes or the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railway. It’s been around for years. I wasn’t that thrilled with the food, but that wasn’t why I stopped there, the breakfast buffet was blah.

Inside he hotel is just fine. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. Coffee not quite hot enough. The other guests were orderly and safe. The outside of the place and parking lot doesn't look as good as the inside. I recommend the place as worth the money.

Our room was great! New and .odern. Nice bed, clean, and great shower and bathroom. And thats what counts. Ice machine and laundry broken. Breakfast way below par. Coffee horrible. Facility very old.

Booked 3 nights had no choice but stay cuz all other hotels in town were booked but only stayed 2 nights!! Very disappointed in Expedia should check out hotels this was not what was shown on web site! Oh and full hot breakfast was only a waffle machine!!

The breakfast was minimal for having a large group staying there, too. It would be a nice accomodations if they remodeled it!

"Water park" has been closed for some time, feel like its falsey advertised. Kids pool closed, there is no resteraunt, No coffee maker l, it was broken at breakfast bar, icee machine in the pool area, but didnt work. Found other peoples hair in our bed and bathroom. Was probably very nice place when opened, but Choice properties has severly neglected its upkeep 👎👎
