Elevator did not work. Carpet is terrible. Chairs in dining room are ripped. No fruit for breakfast on both days. Laundry room - only 2 of 4 washers worked. Only 2 of 4 dryers worked. The only reason we booked the property was for the pool & hot tub for the kids. Neither were working, apparently for many months. That should be updated on this site. Multiple smoke detectors in the hallway beeped 24/7 with guests scurrying out at night to try to disable. I told the front desk & nothing was done. TV didn’t work properly & beds were uncomfortable. I’d suggest staying in Durango.

The pool and hot tub were out of order for remodeling I think, so the kids were pretty disappointed. Our room was pretty clean, except it seems like they got flecks of drywall mud on the carpet near. A couple of the walls inside our room and on the shelves near the bathroom and never cleaned it off, so not sure how clean the room was overall.

Hotel was super dated but very clean. Pool was a huge disappointment, it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time, the water was green and the pool area was dirty and smelly. Not at all like the pictures. That said, the staff was super friendly and the breakfast was very very nice.

Stayed here during a Colorado national park road trip. When we got there we were informed the elevators were broken. Apparently this didn’t happen day of, so they had time to communicate this. Had they done that I would’ve found somewhere else to stay. The lack of communication is a turn off from ever staying at this brand of hotel again. The poor lady at the desk seemed super stressed which stressed me out as well. Walls are thin so you could hear everything.

When I checked in the bedsheets had black stains on three areas. There were two long hairs on the bedsheets. Wax like stains in the carpet, bed sham and chair. Long mirror in room had spots all on the bottom of the mirror.

Got there and nobody was at the desk. When she came up she was friendly. We were a little early for check in, but waited 1 1/2 hour before room was ready. Which made check in after 3:30. Got to the room, the bathroom wasn’t 100% clean and had a fare amount of mold. Bed is uncomfortable and shower didn’t drain well. Will not return.

I expected more from a Holiday Inn, especially with the $180 price tag. It was the priciest option in town, so I thought it should at least be clean- nope. Our room had ripped and dirty carpet, dirty curtains, a smell, broken window with a bar across it, top of toilet broken, and a leaky shower. You could constantly hear people slamming doors. Pass on this one.

We've stayed in several hotels that were supposed to hold families but many of them have really cramped and thoughtless layouts. This room was pretty nicely laid out with the twin beds off in a separate room which had a TV and PS3 in it. The king-size bed was centrally located which made it double as a place to sit while conversing. There was a desk chair, a foot rest, and a comfort chair, so if you have 6 people in the room you have to sit on the bed. The bath and sink were off to the side and mostly out of the way which was really nice and better for privacy. The sink was outside the bathroom so one person could be taking a shower and another could be getting ready. Made mornings more efficient. Breakfast was good. Overall a great place to stay!

Floors are poorly constructed. Walking on bedroom floor creates squeaky noises. We could hear the people above us very early on the morning as they walked about their room. Our room floor squeaked as well.

After a very long day driving, it was awesome to be greeted by the lovely front desk lady with the sweet smile. She was very nice and welcoming and our room was clean, quiet and exactly what we needed to get some rest before we continued on the next morning.

We loved everything about this property. The staff--particularly Rob--was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We loved the unique decor which gave a local flair to the property. Considering IHG has a tendency to make all of their properties look the same, I will say that I would request that they not change this property at all. It felt like home with personal touches everywhere but with the same quality standards one expects from an IHG property. It would be a shame for this property to lose its unique decor and feel.

EV charging is a serious problem in the area. The hotel doesn't have an on site charger like many hotels. The town in general is not EV friendly. Not 1 fast charger in the whole town. Very few slow chargers and the closest one to the hotel is almost a mile away. Not acceptable for a town that survives on tourism.

Appears to me to be a repurposed property, but in pretty good shape. Not everything works as it should. Went out the back door to practice my instrument and the re-entry lock didn't work (broken), nor did the door lock at the door into the pool area. Walked around the building and got in (probably needed the walk), but still... Breakfast was pretty good, but the breakfast attendant was not particularly attentive to whether items were available. Don't close the place down, but step up a bit if you want top marks.

The hot breakfast was the absolute best we've ever had in 40 years of travel. The menu changed on a daily basis and for those of us who might stay longer than one night, that was very unexpected and pleasant. They still had all of the offerings of a continental breakfast but added a lot of hot options. AMAZING!
