Holiday Inn Express Mesa Verde-Cortez by IHG

There is renovation work being done on this motel presently. We were not warned about this before our stay. Apart from this there were other issues that were not caused by the renovation work. 1. The breakfast choice was limited, some items were not available. 2. The staff were very slow to replenish items on the breakfast buffet even after asking. 3. The spa did not work. 4. House keeping was very late in the day, after 4pm. 5. Contractors were sitting around reception in their dirty clothes. 6. Contractors were sitting having breakfast in the dining area before 9.30am. This area should be reserved for guests. 7. The corridors were in a very dirty state.

Hotel is undergoing renovations so the lobby and common areas are a little dusty currently. But the room was comfortable and staff were friendly.

This was a nice place to stay. Lots of lounging areas. Staff was courteous and efficient. Comfortable stay, convenient location for our needs.

We stayed on the third floor where the fire systems was disabled and room was not finished for their remodeling. very hazardous! My cousins works for the town and she said the hotel was warned not to rent third floor rooms until the fire alams and sprinklers were operattional. Ants on the bathroom floor,There was not AC outlet by the headboard. the TV was poorly mounted and not plugged in to the satellite receiver and was about to fall off the wall. no battery in fire sensor, melted toilet seat and tv was about to pull off the wall, improperly installed, no studs, very dangerous.

Pool is open during renovation. The hotel is doing a renovation so there’s a lot torn down. Breakfast is served in the lobby because of the renovation. And it’s probably good thing that it’s having a renovation. Much of the carpets are torn in the hallway but not dirty looking. Just dated and they have very nice things coming in. They have a very cool circle fireplace seating area on the second floor. Staff was very kind and helpful.
