The Westin Denver Downtown

Nice place. Good location. Pool looked nice. Could use a hot tub.

Everybody down to security was more than helpful. Front desk was pleasant and friendly. The rooms are clean and the pool was great.

Three of the four elevators were out of service during the first part of our stay. This resulted in long wait times to get to and from the 12th floor. That said, the staff was clearly working hard to remedy the situation. In particular, the gentleman who ran the service elevator was very accommodating and very much on top of his game.

Was quite a unique experience Saturday night when my girlfriend and I got back from dinner as only 1 elevator was working in the lobby. There was probably 50 people waiting to get up to their rooms and the hotel staff said that the stairs were not an option due to construction. It seems like a fire hazard and a safety concern to not have stairs readily available. We stood in the lobby for probably 30 minutes waiting to get up to our room because all the other elevators were down. It was a real inconvenience and disappointing.

1 out of 4 elevators working after a baseball game on a Saturday night. huge line to get back to room. Stairs "weren't working".....huh? Internet not available to all guests unless you are a member. Never mentioned hidden "destination charge" for valet parking of additional $25 a night.

Nice hotel. A little expensive. Swimming pool was overrun with 40-Somethings drinking.

We had a great weekend enjoying the very warm indoor/outdoor pool, gym, and excellent location for walking to a variety of downtown destinations.

Could not check in until after 7 as room not ready. The pool side was very rowdy with to many people drunk and the people using the facility were not residents of the hotel.

Parking for this hotel us a terrible rip off. The parking garage is part of a mutli facility parking garage. If you enter from the hotel entrance its 40, if you enter from across the street its 8.It put you in the same parking spaces. I went in the hotel garage entrance while my traveling partner went in the other entrance. we parked next to each other in the garage and i paid 40, they paid 8. we entered at the same time and left at the same time 24 hours later.

While it is a ‘nice’ hotel. The main reason I booked it was for the rooftop pool. It was closed, there was no note anywhere on the booking site to inform me of this. They did not offer anything to make up for the pool aside from 2 passes to a local fitness center, but again we paid more for this pool specifically. They also don’t cover any parking charges. The fridge didn’t work in our room and there was no microwave…. Pretty disappointing for a nice hotel

Staff very friendly. Free bottled water. The shower leaked to the dry floor, had to use towels to dry the floor

Hotel was clean however, the shower drain was clogged, and the shower diverter was missing. I will say that once I called maintenance did respond quickly for the diverter. I am sure the drain was unclogged the next day. Beds were comfortable and pillows rocked. I would stay again, if the price was less.

Friendly staff. Good location. Floors in room could have been cleaner. Didn’t want to walk around in bare feet.

We arrived and were greeted by a very nice young man who was able to give us recommendation for local pub still open for food. Was amazing. When we got to our room it was late and upon brushing teeth noticed the water took a very long time to drain which we figured could just be how that hotel was, fine. Night two upon getting back in we noticed that there was a smell and residue in the bathroom sink so when we left for dinner we informed them at front desk what happened (slow drain, back up and foul smell) and that they were okay to enter to check. When we returned they said it was fixed. When we got back to room the sink was clean and it drained much better. Half our towels were gone including the washcloths. About an hour later I went into bathroom and saw this residue in the sink. No clue what is happening there but was little frustrated since did not have anything to clean it up and it was already late. We were then just ready to leave. The front desk apologized but then their reason was "We are working out the "Knicks and renovating" Another item that bothered me was that I got an email that pool was closed until late May. We checked in and it was again open EXCEPT that Saturday there was a wedding taking place there. It was a holiday weekend. The pool area was very disappointing with a small pool and only a handful of lounge chairs. No food or drink options either. If wanting to get away for weekend and relax by pool this is NOT the place for you.

The property is a typical Westin property, but the staff dropped the ball for our visit. They didn’t explain the destination fee, so we missed out on the amenities like free bike rentals and drinks, and the housekeeping staff did a pretty brutal job - bare minimum of cleaning.

The valet did not help load car after check out. Elevator smelled like urine. No wash cloths or body wash - Empty in shower. Did not bring additional blanket when asked for. Poor service!!! Not Westin standard

Everything was great except the water pipes banging in our room when we flushed toilet or took a shower. This also occurred when our neighbors did the same. Imagine 4 am pipe banging… not very relaxing. Need to get this fixed. We were in room 1822.

Everything about our stay at the Westin was enjoyable except the location of our room. Our room was right next to the elevators, so the noise and vibration was a nuisance, which didn’t lend for a comfortable night’s sleep.

The hotel was really nice. The room was awesome. Just needed a flatter pillow.

Loved our stay at the Westin DT Denver, friendly and helpful staff, clean room, comfortable bed, walking distance to everything you want in the downtown, and the breakfast was amazing (get the Denver Omelette)

What I didn’t like is that there was no free wifi

This property is really nice. The front desk service was great, the room was clean, and we had a great view. There were a few things I didn’t like. The door to our room was really hard to open from the inside. The fire alarm went off a few times during our stay and if there really was a fire, it would be unsafe to be staying in our room because of the door. Also, the service at the hotel bar was lacking. It took forever to get served while we were sitting at the bar. It wasn’t busy at all. We had to get up a few times to go over to where the bartender was standing to place our order. Most of the time they were too busy talking to each other or texting on their phones. Finally, when people in the rooms around you close their doors, it’s really loud and would wake me up, which is annoying at 3am. When the people staying in the room adjacent to ours would close their door, it would shake our shared wall. WiFi isn’t free unless you book directly through the hotel and are a member of their rewards program. Other than these issues, I did like the Westin and would probably stay again.

Great location in relation to train station, shops & dining. They surprised us with a $25/night "hospitality fee" - which was the biggest disappointment of the hotel. Room *(421) was next to pool/gym - so very loud.

They did not have any rooms available until 700 pm due to them allowing a large group to check out at 5:00 pm. We arrive at our check-in time at 4:00pm. They had no eta on when the rooms would be ready. Very disappointed we had a concert at 7:00 and we were late because our room was not ready.

Wasn’t able to check in until close to 6pm and I wasn’t called when my room was ready I had to stand in line with several other pissed off customers. During check out the clerk told me he would take 25 percent off the bill for the inconvenience and would email me, I’ve yet to see the discount or a email .

The hotel check in staff were friendly and very informative. The bartenders were great and the food selection was excellent in case you need a late bite to eat. The amenities were amazing and the room was clean and smelled fresh. The bedding was very comfortable. I especially loved the Velcro on the curtains to keep the light out. I loved the location. Will definitely stay here again.

Check in was scheduled for 4pm but was unable to receive room until after 11pm. Will not be returning.

Check in was delayed 3 hrs with no notice. Was very inconvenient.

Hotel room was wonderful, comfortable, and clean. However, checkin process was quite disappointing. We arrived around 4pm, was told room was not yet ready, and we needed to check back. We had an evening event to attend - had to change my outfit in the public restroom! It was pretty much pandemonium in the lobby. Very disappointing for the amount we paid for the reservation.

Front desk staff not friendly or welcoming. We walked by the desk probably 15 times and never once did anyone say hello or acknowledge us even when in line no one acknowledges you until they absolutely have to. Gives off the vibe that we are bothering them being the paying guests.Overnight valet did not speak at all to us when we brought car back late…was a bit weird how no one talked…day time valet were friendly and did a great job.

Waited four hours after check in for our room to become available. Unacceptable.

Friendly front desk guest service . Quite rooms with comfortable beds . Good location for downtown Denver ,just a few blocks from Union Station.

Hotel is located in heart of denver downtown but they have huge construction going on 16 th street mall section which is the reason I got this hotel. Road was detoured on side way, construction noise was all the time.

Very convenient to Union Station and dining options and Coors Field

Great location, alot of restaurants are a short walk away. Union Station is only 3 blocks from this hotel!!

Great central location, just be careful at night and allow plenty is time to get where you're going bc the hotel is surrounded by street closures. Kept getting my Lyft canceled bc the drivers couldn't figure out how to get to me.

Easy access to Coors field and 16th street mall

Great hotel, very clean, staff friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel is interesting. Lots of homeless people laying on street, toilet paper down alleys, sketchy people everywhere. No knock on the hotel. It’s more of a reflection on downtown Denver. We didn’t die.

Great hotel! About a 10 minute walk to Coors Field. Nice and clean room. The staff were great. Lots of shopping and dining options nearby. I would stay here again.

Absolutely great location! Walkable to everything plus having a Starbucks next door was a huge plus. They are doing renovations but it didn't bother us. The front staff was very nice and helpful. My only complaint was not offering free wifi. I think they should considering what you pay. All in all I would feel comfortable staying there again not only as a couple but as a family.

The “free” breakfast each day was charged to my card, and the resort fee of $31 a day is credited back as a $27 dining credit which also got charged to my card. The food at the restaurant is AWFUL. Literally everything is AWFUL. And because it’s free-the staff that serves it to you moves in slow motion.

Pros: The pool was awesome and the hotel was close to everything. Friendly staff. Cons: The room wasn't the room I booked online and it wasn't ready until hours after the checkin time. The room they gave us instead didn't have enough beds to accommodate everyone in our group. It took over an hour to get additional sheets and blankets. The restaurant was also terrible. The server was nice and the drinks were good but the food took a long time and tasted like it was previously frozen.

Great location for Downtown Denver. Phones in the room need some help to get to front desk of any service, it is all done with a QR code? Frustrating trying to reach room service or bellhop or anyone. Room service was nice once I got it ordered and to the room.

The Westin in Downtown Denver has jumped to the top of my favorite downtown hotels. Spacious room with plenty of lighting and plug-ins for all your techy stuff. Best pillows on the planet! Tons of perks. Much fun had at the bar with 2 of the best bartenders ever

Unable to easily drive in to park due to construction and one way streets. When we called to ask for directions they have its directions that did not account for the construction. Restaurants were not available. The bar was in a conference room without a full menu. They gave us a double suite as an unsolicited upgrade however the lounge/living room suite area did not look fully furnished. Otherwise the staff was nice and the room comfortable and clean. It proved what we needed.

The hotel had a great central location with a reasonable price to allow us to walk to a show nearby. The room was clean and spacious with a nice bathroom. Valet parking was great, the gentleman were very nice and at check in they explained that the resort fee could be applied to dining if we decided to use it. We decided to take advantage and use it towards breakfast the following morning. We walked up and there were no signs or podium explaining what to do and one waitress yelled “sit there” from the other end of the restaurant and waived her hand to a broad section of the restaurant. The breakfast menu was limited and didn’t have al a carte options which wasn’t a huge issue for us because we like a fairly broad range of things but she acted annoyed when we asked for other options other than potatoes and rolled her eyes and said “I can’t do that.” Shocked with her response, I looked at her surprisingly and I waited a moment to see if she’d correct herself. She just stared, frustrated. I told her we didn’t want them and asked again if there was anything else she could offer and she said, “Well we’d have to remove 2 items on our plate to get 1 substitution item.” Again, very annoyed that I was even asking. If this is really the policy, this needs to be reviewed. This is an upscale and expensive restaurant in the heart of Denver, surely with many healthy patrons who seek healthy alternatives. $60 for a rude start to our day. Remove your fee or improve your hiring and training.

Came for a single night for a concert - check in was subpar and very confusing. Front desk was not that friendly and did not take the time to explain basic info like what floor we were on. If we needed help with bags, parking, amenities etc. Room service was horrible.. I’ve had McDonald’s better. Worst coffee I’ve ever had - couldn’t even take a third sip If I need to stay somewhere for a single night fine - but overall not the quality or standard a Westin should be.

Great location, very comfortable & spacious room, staff excellent for the most part. BUT, the room service leaves slot to be desired. For a four star hotel to serve me meals on cardboard with plastic utensils falls WAY short of the mark. This more like GrubHob or Door dash level of service, and wholly shameful to the Westin brand :-/

Great location for walking. the hotel was under construction so no restaurant or bar. Great customer service. Was able to get into room a little earlier on check in date which helped with luggage. Front desk was very helpful.
