We wanted close proximity to Glenwood Caverns Adveture Park, a pool and continental breakfast. The pool was closed while they painted outside. They did offer the sister hotel pool within walking distance. During daylight hours, there was constant power tool usage as they cleaned and painted the exterior. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were extremely accommodating. The proximity to the park was excellent.

The pool was dirty. The patio chairs and tables were very dirty as well. One of the table legs was broken and wobbly and caused my husband to scrape his leg as we were sitting there. The pool area is unclean and unkept. There is one washer and one dryer in the hotel for customers to use. But there isn't a machine to get quarters. That is inconvenient for guests.

I liked the fact that it was close to the Hot Springs but really didn't appreciate that the was no parking available. For some reason they had motorcycles parked in the handicap area.

The elevator was broken. I offered to stay in the third floor without any compensation. That would have been nice. And, when I opened my room there was a bug exterminator who wasn’t quite finished. It was just a minute or so before I could enter the room. I left for about an hour and the window sill and air unit was littered with bugs. In May, I paid about half of what I paid this time to stay at this hotel this time. I am incredibly frustrated that my money went toward such a disgusting stay.

We had spent the day horseback riding and just wanted a cool dip in the pool. But the pool was full of bugs and leaves. I asked the front desk attendant and she just said it gets cleaned in the morning, and nothing could be done. Very disappointing.

They have a bug infestation - small black bugs were present. Though I talked with them on the phone they did not bother to inform me of this until I read the sign at the front desk. Apparently they were harmless and not biting bugs but they have not managed them despite reporting that they have tried to mitigate them with pest management both inside and outside.

Room looked great at first. 1/3 of the lights did not work. Shower rod was broken so shower curtain would not stay closed, causing water to leak everywhere unless you hold the curtain. Must have mold in the walls, left with sinus infection, cough and sore throat after 1 night. Shower handle did not work well, was loose, so either burning hot, or cold. On the plus side, the breakfast was good as was the location. They also allowed me to check in 30 minutes early. Let them know of the issues at check out.

Upon arrival, the manager was very friendly and helpful. We had hoped the pool would be open and he told us how to use a neighboring hotel. The room itself was in terrible condition. The bathroom floor had broken tiles. The wall was bubbling off the walls, and the trim work was missing in places. In the restaurant for breakfast, the pancake machine was broken, the juice machine was broken, and the selection in the refrigerator was minimal. For example, there was no yogurt. We chose this hotel because it’s a name we know and expected more. Expedia also showed a high rating and reviews were good. We won’t return! It was not anywhere near the cheapest in the area, but this hotel needs a major upgrade!

I got a room that sleeps five. 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was TERRIBLE. The mattress was thin and caved in and all you sleep on is metal. If hotels are going to advertise that their rooms accommodate 5 then they need to have better bedding for the 5th person.

The people that were right above us were so loud we could not get a good nights sleep, stomping, running and/ or walking at all hours but really bad we we tried to go to bed and early in the morning.9 pm to after midnight .Rude hotel guest or there is something thing wrong with the sound barrier between the rooms. We did call the desk to report. It did calm down for about 14 minutes but started right back up.

IMG wifi will not work on older Macintosh computers (mine is 2018), IMG help line advised me to call front desk. Front desk was unhelpful, kept me on hold for > 5 minutes and when I walked down they were in the office and had forgotten that I was on hold. Then the front desk person knew nothing about how to fix this, had no number or solution for this issue, although there are multiple online complaints about this same problem. Really annoying because I was on a business trip and needed to do work. Also, front desk staff would not print a receipt because I booked through a third party, when I have done that same thing at multiple other hotels who were willing to print the receipt, and a co-worker of mine with a different front desk staff member in the exact same situation got her receipt printed.

Older building, but you wouldn’t know it. Everything has been updated with smart design. Loved the built in suit case stands, bed was comfy, and breakfast wasn’t stale. Only minor downside was the highway noise did filter in through the window pane (might be the original).

This was a good hotel to stay in during my one-night stay in Glenwood Springs. The staff here is friendly, and the breakfast was great for a hotel buffet breakfast. Our room was plenty comfortable and clean. While the hotel feels modern, clean, and comfortable, it lacks in some areas of comfort and modernity. The ceilings feel very poorly insulated, making it very easy to hear the footsteps of people in rooms above you. The staff was incredibly rude every time we had any encounter with them. I even got a call while at dinner accusing us that our dog was barking too much in the room… we didn’t even have a dog. She was adamant that it was ours so I told her to go to our rooms to check (we booked two rooms for the weekend). We never received any apology whatsoever- very accusatory. The side door from the outside (side parking lot) was never locked and even had a sign stating it was locked 24hours a day and to use the room key for access. Not a secure building at all. My son and his friend got yelled at by throwing a nerf pool football in the parking lot (away from vehicles mind you). They weren’t just rude to us it was all guests who entered the hotel.

Check in was a mess - we had multiple rooms and ended up all getting keys for the same room. When we were moved the second room smelled like smoke. We were not told at check in that housekeeping was only available for a one hour time frame but were told that when we asked why our room hadn't been cleaned after we left for the day around 12pm.

I used one of the lobby restrooms around noon. Later at night, the front desk lady accused me for smoking in the restroom. I told her I don't smoke, and the smoking smell was there already when I entered there. Then several days later at checkout, I noticed a smoking charge of $150 was sneaked in my bill without any notification. We had to waste 30 min to try to resolve the issue, and our flight was almost missed. Now after I called the manager, the issue is still not resolved. Not sure how much more time will be wasted. What a great way to treat a costumer.

IMG wifi will not work on older Macintosh computers (mine is 2018), IMG help line advised me to call front desk. Front desk was unhelpful, kept me on hold for > 5 minutes and when I walked down they were in the office and had forgotten that I was on hold. Then the front desk person knew nothing about how to fix this, had no number or solution for this issue, although there are multiple online complaints about this same problem. Really annoying because I was on a business trip and needed to do work. Also, front desk staff would not print a receipt because I booked through a third party, when I have done that same thing at multiple other hotels who were willing to print the receipt, and a co-worker of mine with a different front desk staff member in the exact same situation got her receipt printed.

This will always be the hotel I stay in when visiting Glenwood Springs! Hotel staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and very professional! Housekeeping personnel were friendly and did a fantastic job cleaning and keeping our stocked with essentials. Breakfast was good! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Checked in at 10 pm and was not notified in advance that they were having an Elm Fly invasion. We were told we could get a refund, but where were we going to go at 10pm, Saturday night??? Upon check out, no compensation or credit given and manager was rude and unaccomodating. Reluctanctly she offered a $40 credit, but in the end was unable to get that processed. I like the location and the beds, but because of the manager we will not stay there again.

The staff were fantastic! Above and beyond accommodated us. They even set up my mom’s birthday decorations in the room and made a card. I was overwhelmed by their customer service and kindness.

Hotel is very clean (both our room and the common areas), and the staff were all very kind and accommodating. Free breakfast had nice savory & sweet options. Outdoor pool and hot tub were clean. Parking lot is well lit, however finding a spot can be tricky if you return late in the evening during peak tourist times. Location is within close walking distance of Glenwood Caverns and Iron Mountain Hot Springs. This is our second stay at this hotel, and we'll certainly be back!

It's quiet. It's not walkable into town without walking down the main highway/street that has limited sidewalks. Parking lot on site is big.

Great location! Ignore Google maps - it's only ~5 minutes from Iron Mountain if you scramble up the slope from the Holiday Inn parking lot (they should put in a proper path/steps), walk across the bridge, and walk through the Iron Mountain parking area. If you don't want to scramble up the slope, it's another ~3 minutes to walk to the road properly (i.e., ~8 min walk)

Front desk staff is very friendly. We asked for an extra blanket, and were promptly brought a couple of them. Breakfast was excellent. Cinamon rolls each morning were awesome. Bacon and egg omelet one day, pork sausage and scrambled eggs next day. Biscuits and gravy, along with wide variety of cold options were available all times. Our only complaint was the sleeper sofa. A past guest had ruined it, and it needs to be replaced. Hopefully, hotel replaces it quickly. Beds and pillows are very comfortable, and we slept very well.

Fantastic hotel. Breakfast was great, location was great, bed was super comfortable, and hotel is clean. The outdoor area by the side entry doors could be better maintained. Felt safe, and quiet area. Would definitely stay again.

Older facility, rooms are neat and clean, beds are comfortable. Breakfast area is cramped and was not fully stocked (the typically excellent breakfast is why we try to stay atHoliday Inn Express whenever traveling). Will continue to stay at Holiday Inn Express when traveling, just not this one.

This is a disappointing holiday inn express. I expect much more from this brand. As someone qho specializes in luxury hotels, I will say that this location is the only reason this hotel can charge what they do. It isnt vwry clean. The furniture is shoddy. You cant do anything about how small the rooms are, so invest in the rooms. The breakfast was poorly executed. I don't recommend this hotel. Stay at the other properties next door.

I hate to say but their breakfast buffet was horrible. A lot of things were empty and I asked and they said they don’t have anything to put out. Beds were hard as a rock. And shower curtain in tub was too small so it flooded the bathroom floor.

Compared to other hotels on our trip, price seemed outrageous for the value of what we experienced. Hotel is adequate but nothing special. Clean room, but bed was only ok. Breakfast was poorly run, and with another hour to serve, they were out of quite a few items! Not close enough to walk to town

Upon arrival, the manager was very friendly and helpful. We had hoped the pool would be open and he told us how to use a neighboring hotel. The room itself was in terrible condition. The bathroom floor had broken tiles. The wall was bubbling off the walls, and the trim work was missing in places. In the restaurant for breakfast, the pancake machine was broken, the juice machine was broken, and the selection in the refrigerator was minimal. For example, there was no yogurt. We chose this hotel because it’s a name we know and expected more. Expedia also showed a high rating and reviews were good. We won’t return! It was not anywhere near the cheapest in the area, but this hotel needs a major upgrade!
