Beautiful old 1800 hotel, beautiful lobby and carpet, outdoor seating with fire pits, koi pond. Walk to downtown shopping and restaurants. And walk to the natural springs!!

I have stayed here before and simply love this grand historic hotel. I had a great room this time at the end of the hall looking out over the original Hot Springs. It is an easy walk across the street to the Hot Springs or over the bridge right into downtown Glenwood Springs. The staff are always amazing, including the servers and bartenders. The hotel does not have laundry services, fitness center or pool but who cares? The history of the hotel is wonderful and I consider staying there a privilege.

Historic, gracious place with good service. Excellent location, easy walk to hot springs and downtown shopping/dining. Didn't like having to pay for parking in an open lot across the street. At the room prices we paid, you could have comped or eliminated the parking fee.

Especially nice with lots of history. It's over a hundred years old, with lots of character and has updated decor in the rooms. The hotel charges $15 for parking at the Hotel, but there are parkings spots right outside the Hotel with no charge.

Very convenient for those arriving by train. I had planned my walk, but there was a courtesy van waiting at the train station. Lovely hotel lovely outdoor dining perfect walking to everywhere. Very very nice.

Shower was not clean and had a film. Cockroach on towel! Dog hair on bed and towels. So disgusting, and made asthma bad. Cool history, but poorly maintained and managed.

The property and hotel are beautiful. Restaurant has ecellect food and servers. Rooms could be cleaner. Found glasses under the nightstand covered with dust. Bathroom was biggest disappointment. Had to go out to change your mind it was so small. Had to be a contortionist to maneuver around the sink to use the toilet. Not idea for a person with a handicap. Had i known about the bathroom, id would have asked for handicap accessable. To clse the door when leaving we literally had to slam it shut, not ideal when other guests are sleeping.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I have to say, I was really impressed. Our room was spotless when we arrived, and it stayed that way the entire time we were there. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job. One of the highlights for me was the outdoor patio. It had such a beautiful vibe, especially when the weather was nice. Just a heads up, though – it fills up pretty quickly, so if you’re planning to sit outside, make sure to get a reservation! I really loved the location! So easy to walk over the bridge to shopping & restaurants. The historic nature of the building was fun and it is well maintained and very clean! Excellent service at check in as well as in the restaurant, bar, and coffee shop! The room was clean and comfortable. If I am able to visit again, this hotel is where I would stay.

A very cool place to stay and learn about all of the history of this hotel. Because its a historical building and very old you definitely sacrifice some luxeries. Rooms and very hot and beds were slightly uncomfortable, also no fridges or microwaves in room. Rooms could have been cleaner as we found used dried contact lenses on the floor. The experience was still nice because it really is an amazing building in a great location. Just dont expect super fancy or great accommodations.

It’s tough to rate this one. It’s an historic property so you feel like you are stepping back in time which was nice. However it’s advertised as having air con but it’s a window air con unit. The noise level was unacceptable so we had to turn it off which meant it was too hot to get any sleep. Room was clean and spacious. Staff friendly.

Overall it’s a well kept historic property. For the price however the amenities are lacking. It would be great if they had their own pool. The hotel is old so overall noisy, creaking doors, floors etc. We were there for Memorial Day weekend and the kids were running through the halls up until quiet hours. The rooms have window ac units which are loud and our didn’t work well so it was clicking on and off every few minutes which made it difficult to sleep.

We were forced to leave Hotel Colorado at about 11:15 p.m. after a wedding party’s subwoofers made the entire building shake. Noise inside our third-floor room reached around 80 dB—louder than a vacuum cleaner. Several guests, including us, complained repeatedly. The front-desk staff were polite but powerless; the manager on duty refused to intervene and even threatened to evict and trespass guests who reported the disturbance. Another guest recorded the incident on video, clearly showing the manager’s behavior. We eventually left for the night without sleep. The historic setting can’t make up for management’s total disregard for basic guest comfort and safety. If you need rest or professionalism, look elsewhere until the hotel enforces quiet-hour and guest-safety policies.

Terrible customer service. Did not get our room serviced Saturday. Left all say yo return at 6pm to no clean towels, trash full, no coffee for Sun am, unmade beds, etc. Weee never told we would not get service especially for the $$$$ we paid. The desk clerk was unapologetic and frankly rude about it. The upstairs guests were stomping and banging Friday pm and Saturday am, until I had to call the front desk to request they ask them to stop. There is zero guest consideration here. Stay elsewhere!

This is a beautiful historic hotel in Glenwood Springs, however fell short with customer service & friendly staff & upkeep/ cleanliness. The staff here is very unwelcoming and unfriendly. When we first arrived they put us in a room that was dirty & smelled terrible and around the hotel I noticed grime on walls and cobwebs. They switched our room and the second room was much better. We were told by the front desk staff the restaurant closed early if they aren't busy and that it was closed but that we could go to the bar for food and it was only 7:30? So we go to the bar and the bartender has a dirty bar that had not been cleaned and it wasn’t that busy. She was busy watching football on the tv above the bar and ignored us. I asked her if it was ok if we sit at the bar and if it’s clean she said yes then once seated noticed how dirty it was. She continued to ignore us for 15 minutes and didnt even acknowledge us. So we left and she says “bye”? Then we found out the restaurant was open and ate there. They allow a late checkout for free til noon but if you are 1 minute after that they want to charge $40 and you can only stay til 2. The lady working at the the front desk upon check out didnt even ask how everything was or anything. Very bad and infriendly service at this hotel overall.

We visit Glenwood Springs every year and always stay at Hotel Colorado. The hotel has its own special feeling due to its history and age, the staff is great and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of all the restaurants and hot springs. You can’t go wrong booking HC.

Amazing stay at Hotel Colorado. It is a beautiful, historic hotel in a great location. The Springs are just across the street and the pedestrian walkway over I-70 gives you walking access to the shops and restaurants in town. Highly recommend!

I have always wanted to stay at this hotel and finally got the chance! We were very happy with our stay. The building is very historic with lots to see as you walk through the halls. The room was very clean and well maintained. The only down side is that the bathroom was very small. No counter space to get ready, but there was an area in the room that worked for that. The location is perfect! A short walking distance to downtown with great choices for eating and drinking. We did enjoy a few drinks at the hotel bar/restaurant. We didn't eat there but the food that we saw come out looked amazing. We willl definitely give the food a try when we come back.

We enjoyed the updated rooms and clean bathroom. Dog friendly. Excellent proximity to Hot Springs Pool. Breakfast was delicious but dinner was mediocre. Wait staff was excellent. Best coffee drink is the Brown Bear Frappuccino.

Very happy with our stay although we hoped for some ghostly encounters, we unfortunately did not!! Room was nice and bed was unbelievably comfy. Bathroom was clean but small...hotel is old, so this isn't a complaint simply an observation. AC in window was also likely due to age of hotel, but certainly not a problem. Loved the on-site restaurant...dinner was fabulous and our waiter Jon was quite charming and made great food/wine recommendations. We look forward to staying here again.

Wa Ted to have a “real” meal, so I called ahead to find out how late I could order room service and was told 10. I repeated it and was assured, 10. I called at 9:40, no answer—answering machine. Left message. Called front desk and was told they stop taking orders at 9:30. Couldn’t get a hold of anybody at the restaurant or manager. Was very perturbed. Always took front desk a long time to answer phone. Room had a small window air unit and you can’t use your hair dryer while it’s running or you’ll blow a fuse. I left without buying my teddy bear, just kinda disappointed. I hope they do better for others in the future as it’s a nice historic building. It really annoyed me after I made the effort to find out how late I could order room service (they had an good menu) and left the hot spring pool early to return in time only to end up eating bDomino’s.

Great breakfast in the restaurant. My only complaint was concerning the bartender on Sunday night, February 23rd. She was abrupt, curt, and lacked any customer service skills. We enjoyed an after dinner drink in the lounge area on Sunday night. We sat for 20 minutes and finally decided that we needed to go to the bar to order our drinks even though there were FOUR people in the bar area having drinks. I ordered drinks from the female bartender on duty and came back to our table. After going up and ordering a second, she very curtly told me that it was last call. She agreed to fix me another drink after grimacing. At 1 minute after the hour, she announced “time to leave” in a discourteous, abrupt manner. She did not project the positive professional manner that we found in the front desk and other staff members. She seemed annoyed and preoccupied during our unfortunate encounter.

A lovely place to stay. The restaurant made a large error while we were there. My girlfriend has a nut allergy and we were served pesto that had nuts in it when we asked multiple times to be sure it was okay. It was not and she got terribly sick and ruined our evening.

The room was clean and smelled fresh, with nice robes provided. The food in the restaurant was delicious and there was live music on the patio on Friday and Saturday nights which we greatly appreciate!
