Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Grand Junction by IHG

The room was nice, comfy bed. Even walking down the hall w/o shoes, the floor was soft. Nice workout room and pool area. Great location. Parking was a bit tight.

I pick this place for the pool and The pool was disgusting. Hot tub was dirty . Rain was coming out of the gym ceeling , rooms were good and there is a great Mexican restaurant next to.

The rooms were nice. They included shampoo dispensers etc and the hand soap was also a dispenser instead of bar soap which I liked. The pool was FREEZING! I've never been in one as cold. There also seemed to be a sunscreen film on top of it which is weird since it's an indoor pool. The hot tub was green....not sure why and not very hot. Like bath water temperature. No jets either but I was more disappointed about the temperature and disgusted by the green color.

We had a wonderful stay, overall. Hotel is very clean, amenities are great. The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us great recommendations on where to go for the evening. We enjoyed playing basketball and swimming in the pool. Breakfast was ok. But, the fresh fruit was rotten with very few fit to be served.

If driving a larger vehicle you will need to park on the street do to not being able to park in the lot but everything was clean and it was very easy it check in

We stay here every year for the weekend after Thanksgiving and it is never disappointing! The staff is so friendly and helpful! The kids love the breakfast and pool area! This year we even used the gym and it was perfect!

We stayed one night. The hotel was clean, the staff was polite. Breakfast was good. We swam and the pool was awesome.

Front desk at check in was great, super helpgul and gave us all the information ❤. Check out was the same! Super sweet staff. Breakfast was awesome, lids definitely enjoyed that. Cook was helpful and nice. Table was alittle wobbly lol pool was nice alittle to much chlorine, soap n lotion were empty. All in all a great stay and comfy beds

Everything about the hotel was great. We did have a 24 foot trailer and there was not great parking for it. We were lucky there weren’t many guest at the time of our stay so we could use multiple parking spots.

The room is nice. The pool is out of order. We weren't informed at check-in. Just when we went to enjoy the hot tub.

The room was not very clean and it had a foul smell.

Overall okay. The shower inside curtain stunk reallly bad and was moldy. The stunk was strong. The shampoo conditioner and body wash dispensers were empty too.

Front desk staff was friendly. Room had peeling wallpaper and mold or mildew behind it by the window. Looks like the sprinklers had gone off and they fixed the ceiling but didn't do anything with the walls. Kitchen person wasn't friendly. Food was typical, although the omelet with american cheese in it did not taste good.

Check in was great. Wished there had been a regular room available. All we could get was a handicap accessible hearing impaired room, which meant that the bathroom had no counter space. Only true complaint is that the shower curtain was moldy across the entire bottom.

Everything was great until we got into our room. It appeared that they only changed the bedding. There was a large clump of hair on the bathroom floor as well as hanging from the shower handle. The conditioner dispenser squirted in a way that shot the conditioner onto the wall or the shower curtain and had not been cleaned before we got there. The toilet had definitely not been cleaned. There were four of us staying here and they only gave us 2 towels. We cleaned the bathroom before we would allow our children to go into it. There was what appeared to be food ground into the carpet. There were small rubber bands that were probably for a little girls hair in between the beds on the floor. On the window side of the bed there was plastic trashon the floor. After getting the room to a cleanliness level that we could tolerate we grabbed the ice bucket to fill with ice and it was full of water. Unfortunately when I click to add photos to this review nothing is happening. I have many photos that I would like to share! Police sirens were flashing around the area most of the night and officers were also present in the hotel which left us feeling unsafe. Breakfast looked good but the waffle maker was not working. Luckily it was mother's day and we had planned on going out to brunch.

Checked in late. The room we got had a broken tv the the front desk gal could not fix. NO Discount would be given - said that HOTELS.COM would have to. (I doubt we will see any credit) The room also had an unpleasant odor. I would pass on this property.

Standard hotel, but staff was friendly and professional. Common areas were clean. Half the channels didn’t work and you can see normal wear and tear on the room.

Best room darkening shades ever. Delicious breakfast that was replenished often. Friendly staff, but when checking in they told us the pool closed at 10. It actually closed at 11, which was even better. We stayed in a Suite with a king bed and two queens. It was an handicap accessible room. I wish there would have been counter space in the bathroom. Our shower floor was bowed with a hump in the middle and our shower head kept slipping down. There wasn’t a hook to hang our towel on to reach when getting out of the shower. I wish there were more hooks to hang towels to drive. The alarm clock in our room was the wrong time, so I fixed it. I looked at the clock in the morning and it said 8:45 am. I thought I was running late so I got up and got ready, but it was only 6:45. Not sure if the clock is broken. The bed, pillow, and comforter was extremely comfortable. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

Rooms were very nice. The only complaint we had was our room was right next to the stair well and we could hear people going up and down them constantly. Other than that it was great.

Good room size need room darkness shades

The room was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, but as a general trend in the hotel industry in the USA at this price level, the sheets are a polyblend that doesn't make the body breathe and you end up easily sweating and feeling really hot. Where is cotton gone? See pictures about details in the bathroom, especially the smell from the sink overflow drain, that are not a deal breaker, but it is a pity to find, when everything else is quite good. The room doors close graciously and we couldn't hear noises from other rooms: an exception in these type of hotels. The HVAC though is extremely loud and the room ran hot even with the window cracked open (1in is all you get, at it was 32F/0C or less during the night). If you are a light sleeper, bring a noise machine in any case to even out all possible noises, also coming from the door to the corridor - the door is not noise insulating. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Excellent Mexican restaurant in walking distance as well as super fast EV charger next to the Starbucks. Complimentary breakfast was good, as much as breakfasts in hotels at this price range can be. We'll stay here again, but please pour some bleach down the sink overflow drain...it smells!!

In our room the electric curtains were broken and the wall hook attached to a board was broken. We reported it to the front desk but no one came to fix either.

AC was loud and inefficient as it kicked on and off all the time. Glad my room faced east as had i been on the west side my view would have been a junkyard.

Rude staff, no towels in the room, no bedding for the pullout. Every time I called front desk… no answer. Cleaning staff barged in twice right through a PRIVACY door tag without notice. I will NEVER stay here again. Shame on you Holiday Inn Express

The front desk person signed me up for the IHG program, when another clerk told me to do it. This clerk was super helpful and suggested a restaurant that turned out to be awesome.

Rude and inexperienced staff.

I checked in about 430 pm. Asked where to park my motorcycle. Was treated very well at that time and was told I could park on the sidewalk close to the entrance. When I returned at 830pm I parked as instructed. At 940pm I received a very rude call from Xena Cousins. I was told three times very rudely to immediately move my motorcycle now or it will be towed. I explained that I was told to park there earlier by staff. Rather than showing some understanding, I was told to move it immediately. Since I had gone to bed, I got dressed, moved the bike over a short distance under the awning and got approval that was acceptable. That wasn’t the end of the rudeness. I explained I didn’t like being treated like that and started to realize I was being discriminated against since I had encountered Xena at 830pm when I returned and parked on the sidewalk without her saying a word. I asked for the manager upon checking out the next morning at about 9am but he was not there yet. Took one of his cards and called him while traveling. Eric Yarina was equally as rude on the phone and told me he was present during the whole thing the night before but didn’t come out from behind the wall to help solve the issue. This is when I realized the issue with the staff was due to poor management and all around attitude. By the way I was told by a staff member at breakfast that motorcycles park on the sidewalk all the time and management is a joke.

This was an accidental surprise booking in our way to family in Colorado over the holidays. It was clean, quiet, spacious and comfortable and budget friendly. The indoor pool and spa were a very welcome bonus at this time of year. The provided breakfast is well appointed and at time of this posting includes an auto-pancake maker which we thought was a nice touch. The view from your room either way is nothing scenic but do ask for a room facing the back of the hotel for a quieter sleeping experience. The rooms that face the front get the traffic noise. If you are an EV owner this hotel is the trifecta of roadtrip travel. The Tesla and Rivian superchargers and very close as well as a drive-thru Starbucks if you need to get a fancy drink for the road.

Clean and the breakfast was great and everything was well stocked and tanles were kept clean. Jimmy takes pride in his work and breakfast area and this was wonderful. The rooms were clean. The staff was very responsive and available.

The staff was amazing!! The breakfast was hot & delicious. Every area always smelled fresh and clean.

Room was ok. Furniture was odd (chaise lounge facing a wall?). Breakfast was almost unedible. Omelettes were cold, biscuits were cold and hard as a rock. Gravy was barely warm. Had to go in the back to find someone to refill the coffee.
