Days Inn by Wyndham Windsor Locks / Bradley Intl Airport

The heater/air conditioner in the room was old and very noisy that kept me awake. Also nobody bothered to make breakfast or any coffee for those who had to leave for an early flight.

The place is a dump! The breakfast is a bag of crap. There is no coffee. It really harms the Days Inn brand. I will try to avoid Days Inn for future trips.

On one hand this property scored high marks for cleanliness. However that became a downside in this case. A properly cleaned tub floor become like a sheet of ice making a simple shower very unnerving, worrisome, and huge liability risk! To add to this danger, the shower lacked any grab bars to help support in the effort to avoid slip falls! Further, even when I suggested/requested a tub mat from front desk staff, I was told they “are not allowed to use tub floor mats” and didn’t show any concern over my obvious concern for myself and other guest for slip fall risk! She just blew me off to return back to her conversation that appeared to be of a personal nature with a visiting friend. Also receiving low marks in my review was maintenance of this property. The room heating unit was in disrepair. The cover was not secured and was only partially in place covering the mechanical parts of the appliance. Further yet, it did NOT effectively control room temperature. It only blew one Temperature which was not as desired and set on the unit’s thermostat. Cold when needed heat and vice versa! The toilet had a malfunction as well. I suspect a bad flapper in the tank as it sounded like a constant leak and fill process every few minutes. And, to flush the bowl, users had to hold the flush handle down for about 19-15 seconds until the flush finally occurred. Again, when I asked this to be repaired at front desk, I was blown off. Lastly, the room’s mini fridge unit was bad.

Change the information on your website there is no little marketplace to buy food. There is no breakfast being served, but an offer of a bag breakfast. Trouble with the vending machines. Place is really rundown badly and some of the clientele were pretty disgusting shouting obscenities in the hallway. I would never want to go back there again.

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to BDL, and after reading some positive reviews. I’m not sure how long ago the reviews were written, but the property looks like it needs some attention, and I was very disappointed that Wyndham has it’s name associated with this place! Initially, I was given a room, and when I opened the door, saw the bed was unmade, so I returned to the front desk and was then given an acceptable room. Next time, I will spend more $ and stay somewhere else.
