Great stay for a single night. A bit of trouble to start the stay as there were problems with the room door code. Initially nobody responded to the messaging system but I found the managers number on a business card in the lobby and was able to reach him there. He arrived very shortly after to help it took two more codes to try before finally getting in. The room was cozy and fit my needs. The bathroom door handle was busted and the tv had some dead pixel lines. There is some fridges in the lobby for your storage. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would consider coming again.

Great location... once you do the sign in procedures - send them ID and photo - you get instructions and directions. Very easy to access. Parking probably very difficult.

Stay at the hotel was solid, two main issues were the lack of storage for suitcases post-checkout (which meant I had to haul around a big suitcase around the city with me as my flight was late), and additionally there were no personal fridges therefore everything was stored in a communal fridge in the lounge. Please add more storage for suitcases because currently there are only two cubbies for a multiple floor hotel, which obviously fill up extremely quickly.

Cute room for what it was, but there was no ironing board or steamer. So not a great choice if you’re on a trip and need to freshen some items up. Ease of access, but ensure your phone is charged or remember the code otherwise you’re SOL. There is no one on site.

Nice place, but no on site staff to assist with any issues. I loved the mattress, but was surprised that there was no mini fridge. Also, no daily refresh of the room. We had to reuse the 3 paper cups for several days, which was not ideal.

The room is small and dark. The bed is not queen sized (it felt like a twin). We stayed for a whole week and we didn’t get our room cleaned (they clean the room only for a fee which was around $50). AC is loud. The only huge thing they have in the room is the TV that is useless if you don’t have any streaming account (because the tv service isn’t offered by them). There’s a “kitchen” station with a communal microwave, fridge and coffee machine. The water dispenser wasn’t there until one day before we left and it didn’t have hot water. Location is great!

Overall this was a great experience, good place to stay, and would stay there again. There were some small cleanliness oversights in the room like crumbs on one end table. The lobby and hallway were also not dirty, but untidy. This stay was at an unstaffed location, but made me wonder when it had been serviced. On a Sunday night, the only trash can in the lobby was overflowing, and one of the few conveniences in the lobby, a small coffee machine, was broken and appeared to have been in the state for some time with no indication of it being broken and the supplies (coffee pods, and sugar) fully stocked. This seemed to signal a lack of timely care for the common spaces especially.

Excellent stay. Check in was done digitally via text and was very convenient. They do accommodate early check in and room requests (I wanted a quieter room). Just let them know a couple days in advance of your stay. Location is excellent. Located in DuPont Circle area which has great energy. Short bus ride to the White House and other landmarks. Also easily connected to the Metro. Rooms were basic but good for the price. Bed was comfortable and the TV had HBO, Prime, and other streaming services along with live TV. They have a snack/coffee bar in the lobby. Would return!

I stayed to attend an academic conference at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. You can get to the venue in 20 minutes by taking a bus from the bus stop in front of the venue. The location was good. The room was clean, but the daily cleaning and towels were never changed in the 5 days we stayed. There is no breakfast, but there is a coffee machine in the lobby. However, it is very slow and defective. I think it's pretty cheap compared to the prices around here.

Room and bathroom were dirty and smelly. No ceiling light. The AC was too loud to sleep. Bathroom door was extremely heavy and wouldn’t close. The hair dryer kept going from hot to cold randomly. Stains, dirt and hair everywhere.

I've seen some not so positive reviews of this place, so I want to set the record straight. Is it the Ritz? No. But is it clean, comfortable, safe, and well-maintained? Yes! And for around $125 per night in Dupont Circle, that's a great deal! I would definitely stay here again.

Apartment is very small, in an old building.on the bus route, and a street away from 17th on which various dining options are available. Smelly shower curtain, and musty carpets. Lighting not adequate.

Great price, friendly staff, clean, great location, shared space was pretty

I came to town for two nights but spent most of my time outside of the property. This was a no-frills stay and to be honest not many complaints just comments. My room was super cozy. Had things I needed like soap, iron, towels, tv. My room did have a “surprise” under the bed so cleaning was not as thorough. The bathroom was fine but the shower had clear wear and tear. The bed was SUPER comfy. I would stay here again honestly for any solo/couple travels.

Very clean, comfortable, and modern decor. It was a great deal, very reasonable price for DC. It could use more luggage storage space, but manager is working on that and was very helpful to offer me alternatives. Highly recommended.

Terrible and overpowering smell when you walk in the door. The toilet was dirty and when I immediately messaged them to ask about fixing I was given the run around and did not get a refund.

First the 'hotel' is contactless, meaning there's no front desk counter with a real person to help with checking in. That wasn't so bad, what was bad was the room! It was in the basement, super small, dark, dated and my view was an alley. I could only communicate through the app only to tell me the hotel is fully booked. This hotel was expensive for what i received! There were no amenities other than a water station and a common microwave and refrigerators. What i did like was the lobby/lounge area, where i could work and eat (because the room was too small to do any of that) and it's in a walkable neighborhood. I was very disappointed and i probably won't stay there again.

Nice location, nice place, but my the AC doesn't work...

The windows need black out blinds. The lights right outside the window illuminated the room the whole night even with the provided blinds closed.

A good modern, clean hotel that matches the price. Only annoying things were that the blinds don’t properly block out light and the aircon rattles.

I give 4 star overall due to the loud non-central A/C heating that running every minute except pausing 15-20 seconds. I figured the ear plugs they provided could helped reduce the noise. But still can hear about 20 decimal. I had to turn off the A/C after run highest temperature about 15 mins. Then sleep until it gets cool and rerun 15 mins then turn it off. However I still can hear the A/C noise from other hotel rooms. I highly recommended the property owner upgrade it to be central A/C system or a quiet individual A/C with installing the compressor outdoor. The extra one star goes to the efficient communication system and easy check in using email instructions. I forgot my ID in the room and the customer service by text respond very fast with a phone call. They contacted the staff on-site and the staff waited me to pick it up. Customer service quality is very important to me. I had bad experience with a different trip car rental office in LA that all people on site care nothing about customers and those customer service was terrible that can’t help nothing because they are actually in India! I lost my phone in that trip in the public restroom.

The staff was amazing. Nate and Essam took such good care of us. I was so impressed with how personable and professional they were. I highly recommend staying at Found, it was the best.

though it’s a little odd not having a traditional front desk, this arrangement works well - the staff maintained a presence via texting and I always had what I needed - I recommend this hotel

The model is 'low staffing' but they were able to help when they were there. My room was ready a bit later than check-in time. Their keyless lock on the door didn't work and I had to go back and forth with the staff to get a new one (luckily they were around) and have them open the door with their fob to get in. The room was kind of damp feeling and had a smell of mildew. The room was small and the furnishings and condition of the shower, carpet, etc. were a bit worn. There was no shower curtain in the tiny bathroom which made the whole bathroom get wet when you shower. They've charged me an extra $100 upon check out so know I have to coordinate with them to make sure they refund it...

They do not pick up the phone. They do not respond to any communication. I am pretty convinced there are no humans working for Found by Embassy (formerly Sonder by Marriott) I don’t know what kind of hotel has no check in clerk, mandates the presentation of the credit card used for booking (which on a business trip may be not possible), tells you via the booking app that if you need assistance you must wait until they send check-in instructions, never sends the check in instructions, and when you try any number of means to communicate, they Simply Do Not Answer the Phone and Do Not Even Respond to the Booking Agent! Just don’t bother with this property if you are a business traveler. Just book at a regular hotel. We did not use the booking and are still trying to hear back about a refund.

When I booked the room, I got an email asking me to do some pre-registration but it linked to a website with an error message. I responded to report the error message but didn't get a response. When I showed up, I realized there was no on-site staff and had to go through a long and frustrating call/online registration process to get into my room. Once I got in, the light switch didn't turn on any lights. Fortunately the bathroom light and one of the floor lamps worked but I didn't want to bother calling the help line again so I just managed with those. The room was comfortable and quiet enough but the check-in was extremely frustrating.

I was allowed to check in 2 hours before the check-in time. However, not having any physical staff on site create trouble for residents. I saw people waiting for hours to get a respond from the hotel staff through text message. If you want to replace labor by technology that's perfectly fine. But to operate that mode, you should have service available through phone or text or by any Apps. Emergency alarm was ringing on and residents were gathering at the lobby waiting for hours at night in response to the alarm but no on-site staff to address the issue!

One of those annoying “hotels” with no staff on site, they send you texts day of, and you have to fill out online forms and take and upload pictures of your ID so they’ll send you separate codes for the front door and your room.

I paid a 2 night stay in this hotel, after they give me my room I told them that my “code” doesn’t work, they told me to don’t worry. So I went out and when I come back to the hotel at night, the code still NO WORKING, there was NOBODY on the building who can help me open the door, I call and send messages to everyone and at the end I have to spend my night in the street cuz I couldn’t even go inside the room I paid. Totally crazy that they make you paid for a room you can’t even use.

I've stayed here several times in a superior queen room (SQR). This is a great small hotel positioned very close to the good places in DC, yet still tucked away in a neighborhood. A whole foods is nearby, as well as several restaurants. The DuPont metro is a 12 min walk and there are bus routes to downtown and elsewhere right outside. It's definitely set up for those who can be self sufficient and prefer independent check ins. There is not a regular lobby, you get key codes instead of room keys. There is a messaging system which I found works very well during maintenance hours - when people are on site in the morning - until 6pm. The absolute best was Courtney, who I never got to meet, bc she was in Chicago, but she worked wonders getting us a Roku remote when ours was missing! She was truly magical and so kind! The room itself has a private shower, AC, 2 chairs, hanging station, bedside tables, a desk and dimmable lighting. The thing I did not like was the curtains were not black out and each time I have been put on the east (rising sun side) of the building. I brought an eye mask this time so it didn't wake me up. Even with the blinds and the curtains closed it was bright. The AC was decent set @ 68 (for July) and made enough white noise to block noise outside. It was extreme heat, so keeping this type of unit at a reasonable temp keeps them from freezing up, FYI! Highly recommended for couples or single travelers and humans that are travel savvy & self sufficient.

The area was in a nice, convenient, walkable area of the city. I wasn't able to contact the property ahead of time, but they were very kind and helpful upon my arrival.

This cute little hotel is located in the heart of everything, a 25 minute walk to the Walter Washington convention center where I would walk every day. Very convenient and it felt like a safe neighborhood even on Halloween on a Friday night

Very affordable for students and short term visitors of DC. Small rooms but clean and comfortable. Appreciate the bathroom with the room. Really great staff, quick communication without any problems. Close to the Dupont Circle metro or bus and plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Easy check in. Definitely coming back once in DC again.

Great Budget Stay in a Charming Spot! Before booking, I saw a lot of negative reviews on Google, which made me hesitant—but since I was only staying for one night, I decided to give it a try. Honestly, I’m really glad I did! The place is super cozy and cute. Check-in was incredibly easy—they sent me a link beforehand, which made the whole process smooth and contactless. Both the lobby and my room were neat and clean. I also appreciated the free coffee and tea, and the room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is amazing—right in DuPont Circle, with lots of places within walking distance. It felt safe even at night, which is a big plus. I’m not sure what others experienced, but my stay was great. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and budget-friendly place in DC!

Location is perfect for our needs; clean, comfortable bed & linens, sparse but provided necessities. Would have preferred cups for bathroom instead of having to use in-room paper coffee cups or go to reception area for extras (which were out).
