Excellent location near National Mall, Air & Space Museum, and close to metro station. Rooftop pool was great to cool off in after a couple of really hot days. Garage parking was available for an extra fee but was worth it. Walkable distance to the wharf for dining options. Rooms were updated and clean. Room air conditioning was a bit loud, but worked well.

It was great. Check in was easy, hotel/room was clean, had a starbucks in the lobby, water refill station, had some games and a little kid area, didnt use the pool so i cant speak on it but the fitness center was well equipped. Only thing was the elevators. They took forverrrr.

The shower was terrible took awhile to heat up then the water would fill in the shower & not go down for a long time. Bed uncomfortable. Elevators got stuck & half the time the room key to access elevator wouldn’t work, it took a long time to get to your floor or sometimes u would go up & down so many times. All else was great especially the location to all. First amendment bar & grill service slow but food fantastic. Pool was nice but the 15 people limit in at a time was something I never experienced & then u sat like ducks on the edge of pool with ur feet in water waiting ur turn to go in when someone came out. Friendly staff tho. I’d stay here again bc of the location & all else was dealable.

Great location, within walking distance of the mall and L’Enfant Metro station. Pool on roof was great hang out area. Pool was small, but did the job of cooling off on the hot days. Will definitely stay again.

Very good location, Good breakfast ( not included.) The weight room lacked any weights under 10 lbs and there was only one of those . Concierge told me”the other one was taken.” Told concierge in morning that sink faucet leaked and repair came at 10 PM Saturday evening and then at 8 AM Sunday morning. Finally got it fixed Sunday afternoon. Overall, a somewhat run down facility but nice that the pool had a lifeguard.

We got to stay here for a week while we toured the Smithsonians. The staff was amazing, the amenities were convenient including a tiny shop in the lobby, a Starbucks, two restaurants and, ice and vending machines on every floor, laundromat, small indoor kids play area, a gym, maybe a business area and a pool. Only con was the excess train whistles starting at 7am, who does that help WMATA?

This is an older property. Our room was very dated and not that clean. The hallways didn’t appear to be vacuumed and the elevator took forever. The best part about this hotel is its location to the National mall museums. We also really liked the onsite dinner venue with happy hour. Their are better hotels for the same price but they are further away.

Upon checking in, I was charged an additional 50-60 dollars more than the amount that I booked the room for on Hotels.com for... The hotels.com booking stated that taxes and fees were included. My first impression of the room wasn’t great; there was a used dental pick and a used tissue under the nightstand beside the bed. The hotel did provide me with a complimentary breakfast voucher, which was nice. The breakfast itself wasn’t very hot at the time that I ate it. Possibly need to turn up the steam table temp a little. The breakfast staff was very friendly though, they were great. The best part about this property is the close proximity to the national mall. The Smithsonian air and space museum is about a 3-5 min walk. At times leaving and returning from the hotel, in the street around the property, there were what seemed like drug addicts and maybe homeless people shouting and causing a scene while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. This was my second stay here, and maybe the last. The close proximity to Smithsonian attractions and the lower price compared to other properties is attractive, however, I feel like it’s worth the additional money to stay at the District Wharf area. The last time staying at the Wharf was a much more pleasant experience, less vagrants, better views, better dining options, etc. Just my opinion, thanks!

Front desk staff was efficient but not very friendly upon check-in. It was our first time in DC and it would have been helpful to be able to ask for some input / recommendations but it's definitely not approachable. Checked into the room to find the refrigerator not working. Huge hairball on the bathroom floor. Almonds scattered on the floor under the desk. Was more than obvious this room had not been cleaned after the last guest left. If I was paying $99 a night for her room I would expect this, but it over $300 this was totally unacceptable. I was texted during my stay to see if everything was okay I responded no, and there was absolutely no follow-up. Definitely would not recommend

Long check in line with only one person at the desk. There were three other employees but none of them helped check people in. They were busy in the backroom. The bed was hard as a rock. The restaurant is mediacore. The plus side is that it is very close to the national mall, walking distance. But dont expect a luxury stay. They also charge for parking.

Check-in was easy, lobby has decent space to hang out. The whole hotel feels like it’s a few degrees warmer than you’d expect, slightly uncomfortable. The room was worse, hard to keep it bearable despite the wall AC unit chugging away 24/7. The room is in need of a makeover; the carpet was beat, wallpaper was peeling in several places, only some of the power outlets worked and the satellite service on the TV was very poor even though the weather was clear. Service in the 21st Amendment restaurant was very slow and the “roasted” broccoli was very hard and crunchy. Having said all this, the location is great if you want to be around the National Mall and monuments, just be advised there are not a ton of restaurant options nearby. For DC, the price we paid was reasonable however. Just don’t expect to be wowed by this property.

While the location is fantastic for walking the mall, its also right on the train tracks. Therefore if you're on the side with rooms in the 50s to 70s expect an early wakeup call. Room was clean and comfortable but the tv cut out often, likely due to being on the far end of the hotel. On site restaurant had slow service, however the people were friendly.

First off it wasn't cheap for this place. 2k for five nights for a basic room with two beds. Service was great and the room was clean but the room was just in bad shape. Furniture is on its last leg. Carpets are old, stained and just a little nasty. Same thing with the carpets in the hallway too! Bathroom was old and needs to be touched up. The water pressure in the shower was amazing though. They definitely get props for that. The wallpaper was peeling off everywhere. Look, I know I didn't book a 5-star hotel but I felt like I booked a 1-2 star hotel. Walls are thin and you can fully hear your neighbors above, below and to the sides. Breakfast for $26? Really? Not worth it.

Very convenient location. Beds are like concrete.. almost painful. Hot water very sketchy. Out of a 5 day stay only had a hot shower 2 days. Front desk was contacted and “couldn’t help”.

The hotel staff was great, very friendly and helpful! Mr. Kenny was wonderful in helping to obtain our boarding passes. Luis and Ricky were very helpful as well. The housekeeping staff always said hello and would come back to clean your room if you requested. The lobby and rooms are kept very clean. No complaints here.

Disappointing services experience and poorly maintained AC system. We struggled to get the temperature stable, it was either freezing cold or had the heater on in July. We tried compromising by requesting extra blankets, which were never delivered. I called to follow-up, phone rang for 5 minutes with no answer. So I just gave up. Would recommend picking another one if the many options in DC.

I love this hotel. AMAZING and customer service knocks it out of the park. We came here after leaving a really bad hotel early, coming from Ocean City, Maryland and we were greeted with professionalism, hospitality, and kindness. Not to mention it was super clean. This hotel speaks for itself with location because we were only a block away from the national mall. we went every day as it was less that a 5-minute walk. I Truly can't get over how great the hospitality was at this hotel was though. The staff was so professional. They are the epitome of what amazing service and hospitality stands for. They set the example. It was so refreshing after coming from a bad hotel in Ocean City. I cannot thank you enough!!!

Great location in the heart of everything. Convenient paid parking option. Front desk staff was rude each time I spoke with them, they were short in their responses and oddly condescending. I tried to avoid speaking to them unless necessary. It was unfortunate that the attitudes at the front desk put a bit of a damper on a trip we were so excited about.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. It’s not fancy, but it’s simple, clean, and perfectly located — we were able to walk everywhere with our children, which made things so much easier. One detail that really stood out was the Dove products in the bathroom — such a thoughtful touch! Even at higher-end hotels, I often don’t care for the toiletries, but here I was genuinely impressed. The staff were courteous and very helpful, and having a Starbucks right downstairs was a huge plus. Overall, a great hotel, and we would definitely stay here again!

Dining at the 21st Amendment was terrible. The special was an herb roasted chicken. When it arrived it looked like a tiny Cornish hen cut in half and over cooked. When we complained about the size we were told that they are small chickens. They eventually brought out more pieces and removed it from our bill. The bar servers were overwhelmed and they didn’t seem to know how to tend a bar.

Great property for those wanting to visit museums. Quick walk to the metro station for further trips.All major museums very walkable. Elevator requires a key card so we felt pretty secure. Not a lot of noise and connecting rooms were easy. Food choices around are few and the breakfast buffet is quite overpriced. Recommend using DoorDash from the Safeway for snacks. There is a fridge in the room, but the only microwave is downstairs in little store off the lobby. Don’t drive. Use the metro and Uber. We felt very safe on the metro.

The room was kept SPOTLESS by a housekeeping staff that cheerfully worked around my schedule. The breakfast buffet is painfully overpriced. Walking distance food is not friendly to my palate.

There was a good restaurant for dinner, but didn’t try the bistro for breakfast. Seemed a little expensive. But good casual dining within short walking trip. Hotel was very close to the Air and Space museum ( and American Indian). Staff was very helpful.

The front desk clerk charged me incorrectly. Her language skills and tech skills were inadequate. Something similar happened with the parking attendant, who had to call someone and speak in another language to resolve a problem. Also, had to return a dish in the restaurant because it was so poorly cooked and had a chemical taste. The breakfast was not outstanding either, for $29.00

The best location when visiting the Museum of the Bible, and most museums on the Washington DC Mall. The staff is very helpful and professional. The outdoor pool area is very nice. My room was away from the elevator and very quiet. I did not appreciate the very heavy presence of National Guard troops in the lobby at all times. Maybe it is a living situation for them. I might not book again for this reason

Other than no free breakfast option,just a very expensive buffet ! over $100. for 3 adults and 2 kids , very happy with our stay.Would stay here again and even have breakfast here "no other options near by" . Great location and very happy to see the National Guard in and around the hotel, felt very safe.

Our stay was okay overall, but unfortunately it was not the relaxing experience we were hoping for. The hotel was extremely crowded due to multiple events taking place, and there were road closures that made getting to and from the hotel difficult. Parking was also a major issue, which added unnecessary stress to our stay. I feel that guests should be notified in advance when there are large events, road closures, or limited parking expected during their stay. As a family, we specifically chose this hotel hoping for a calm, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere, but the overcrowding and traffic made that difficult to enjoy. The hotel itself was fine, but better communication about events and possible disruptions would have helped us make a more informed decision before booking.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was a little older which was especially noticeable in the carpet. The rest of the room was great. Loved the giant shower head and good water pressure. Beds were comfortable and we slept well. Used the gym once and it was adequate. The buffet breakfast offered plenty of yummy choices. We did not use the pool but we wished there was a hot tub.
