The light in the room flickered the entire time everytime you used it. There weren’t any main lights in the room only lamps which made it very dim. Other than that the room was nice. You get robbed on a destination charge & parking on top of the hotel price. It was close to $800 for 3 nights and an additional $375 for everything else. Then tips on the valet as well. I would have rather the holiday inn inside of DC

Decent/average. The food is overprices for the quality you get. The sun doesn’t reach the pool area as it’s surrounded by buildings. Sun aside the pool area could better, is decent at best. On a good note, the staff is nice and room service was fast and attentive.

The property was great, location to all transportation options perfect, staff was very nice some need to be more vocal in WiFi info and breakfast included.. the breakfast was limited and some days the service was not on point. Don’t stay on second floor— the use of the gym can wake you at early hours— the pool being so close makes these rooms musty. But I did like the location very much.

Nice property , spacious room. Very nice pool area with decently equipped fitness room. In heart of local DuPont hood with easy access to many bars resteraunts and only a few metro stops away from museum area. Will return.

The sliding doors for the bathroom are strange. The stairs in the swimming pool aren’t sufficient to exit the pool. The drains around the pool are rusty and broken. They could really hurt someone. The fire alarm testing that had been scheduled went on several times during the day and lasted way too long.

Reasonably close to the Kennedy Center. There was no heated pool as advertised. Construction was ongoing above and surrounding the pool. Hotel closes its front door after a certain hour, this information was not shared. There were no security guards. Baggage service at the curb, carry your own bags to your room.

The electrical socket in the bathroom didn't work so we asked for an extension cord so we could dry our hair in the main room and see ourselves in the mirror. On the last night, water started coming into the room through the hvac area and the carpeting was soaked before we left. One day we came back to the room in the afternoon and when the cleaning people came to straighten up, we asked if they would come back at 4 when we were leaving. They said they would but didn't so the room wasn't cleaned when we returned. They did bring replacement coffee and cups when we asked. The hotel seems nice enough but our specific room was not a good experience.

Staff was friendly. Room was big although condition was disappointing. Mild funny smell in elevator and rooms. Bedroom door can’t be closed. Sink was not working but fixed after complaining. Sofa was broken. Room clean was weird too. There was a long blond hair on the bathroom table. Second day when we came back, we noticed dog food on our floor, and we absolutely didn’t have a dog. Pool was super cold, definitely not warmed nor playful for kids.

The first room they put me in smelled horribly like mold and it was dirty with dirty towels. I moved to a second room and the smell was better but still dirty with hair in the showers, dirty stained towels and floors that needed to be vacuumed

Room air conditioning not working properly. Dead cockroach outside room door. We were on same floor as conference center. One night's conference had seafood and it smelled up the whole floor. Hotel staff was rude. They tried changing for a breakfast we didn't eat. Concierge staff was great.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel. The room was dirty and had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it very uncomfortable to stay in. It did not match the photos or the description online, and the cleanliness was far below standard. I expected a basic level of hygiene and comfort, but unfortunately, this stay left me frustrated and disappointed. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made

The room reeks of mildew. It was most likely from the carpet, but could have been the A/C, which barely worked. The shower drain was very slow, toilet not functioning properly. Front desk staff was aloof. Front door staff very friendly. Restaurant was good, but terribly overpriced. Raheem was the shining star. Friendly and attentive. Our VIP perk was to not have to pay the amenity fee, but we had to hassle for over an hour with Expedia to get that credit. Gym was nicely appointed and useful, though equipment was on the fritz.

I stayed for 5 nights. Staff and valet were welcoming. My initial impression of the room was that it was fine until I started looking a bit closer. I REALLY WANTED to love it, but I just couldn’t. There were spots on the ceiling above the bed. There was a red stain on the carpet next to the bed that looked like it could have been koolaid or Gatorade. The yellow chair that was at the desk was stained. The outlets and plugs were in disrepair. There were some spots on the walls. The smell wasn’t bad, but it was more of a musty smell. The jetted tub worked fine though the control buttons were placed upside down. Thermostat was average. The vent for the fan was very dirty. The restaurant was overpriced and not good. I ordered a pasta dish that was supposed to be ‘handmade’. The pasta noodles were very dry and not very fresh. The ‘Signature Margherita’ pizza was not special. For $30 it was a small pizza with some cheese, cherry tomatoes, and whole basil leaves plopped right on it. Unimpressive presentation and average pizza shop taste. These photos were taken from a video that I took on my arrival to the room. There are lots of fees that are not outwardly mentioned upon booking so pay attention to the fine print. On top of the valet parking fee, there is a garage tax daily. There is $100/day incidental charge. There are destination fees daily which are also taxed. There is a separate DC hotel occupancy tax. None of these fees are included in your nightly rate. Very expensive.

The pictures and descriptions of the rooms are not accurate. I booked a premium king suite 752 sq feet. Not even close. It was less than 450 and when I went down to ask for the correct room they were adamant I was incorrect.

When we arrived to our room, the bathroom tub faucet was leaking a lot. We called the front desk and they sent someone up right away. He was unable to fix it so we were switched to another room. It was smaller than the original room. The staff were pleasant as they assisted with this, however, it did take up a lot of time and we did not make it out that night. We requested a microwave and they provided us with one. We also got extra towels with no hassle. Great stay. Parking is expensive, but convenient. Excellent customer service. Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel Restaurant had limited breakfast options so we walked to a local restaurant.

The air conditioner in our room was broken. It constantly blew out air at 66 degrees. You could not turn it off or increase the temperature. Everyday for 3 days I reported this and they assured me someone would be there to fix it. That never happened. In addition, they did not do room service one day. When we reported they said someone would. E there in the evening and that never happened. No towels. No tissues. No cups. The second room we had had a broken TV. One of the three elevators was broken creating long waits during graduation weekend to get to and from the lobby. Not worth the money or aggravated. Very disappointed. Would like reimbursement

This hotel offers pros and cons: Pros: Lots of hydration, all the water you can drink and a fridge to keep it cold loved that! The location is amazing! The housekeeping staff and bell men were great. Cons: Cannot check in till 4pm. I was told over and over again that I could come back and maybe the room would be finished. The lobby is dark and uncomfortable. It was not fun to get there and have to just sit and wait for the room to be clean and I did not see any urgency from the front desk to help me get into the room faster. The hotel bar was not friendly and not very good.

At 01:30 on our first night, water started pouring through our bathroom ceiling. We immediately called the front desk and used our remaining towels to contain the water as best we could. At 01:45, they called us back saying the tub above us overflowed and gave us more towels. Thinking it was done, we went to sleep until we got a phone call at 02:30 saying the maintenance guy was outside our door. I asked for a new room and was hung up on. I called back and the front desk very begrudgingly gave us a new room, like we were inconveniencing them. On the second morning, we got a wake up call at 06:50 that we did not place. Out of two nights, both nights messed up by something with next to no level of concern by the front desk.

THE FIRST ROOM I WAS ASSIGNED TO FACED OTHER ROOM WITH NO PRIVACY OR VIEW AT ALL I HAVE TO COMPLAIN AND I WAS CHANGED TO ANOTHER ROOM MUCH BIGGER AND WITH NATURAL LIGHT. WHICH WAS MY ONLY REQUEST WHEN I MADE THE BOOKING. THE FRONT DESK WAS ALWAYS CROWDED, WITH A MAXIMUM OF 2 PEOPLE WORKING DURING THE DAY AND A LINE OF PEOPLE WAITING. I DIDNT LIKE THE SERVICE.

The hotel was clean, and our room was large. The staff was wonderful, and they wanted to ensure that we had a great trip. We were greeted by Maxwell when we arrived who made us feel welcomed. The location was perfect. There was a Bagel place across the street was awesome. We ate breakfast once in the hotel and the food was good but pricy. We did eat dinner once in the hotel and the food was delicious.

We went to DC to view the Impressionist Exhibit at the National Gallery. Staying just off Dupont Circle made our excursions easier. We enjoyed breakfast at the Royal Sonesta every morning and found the food and service excellent throughout our stay.

We were only there for one night with our 2 kids, but the hotel left an impression. The staff was really attentive, the room was modern, clean, and huge, and the royal animal theme was a hit with the kiddos. Very convenient location as well. Would definitely stay again if I come to DC.
