Overall the hotel is good, but the elevators are terrible. We had to wait for 20 minutes to get down from 3rd floor to the lobby. Then 30 minutes more to go from Lobby to the parking. The elevators are slow and crazy busy in the mornings. It made us late for our appointment. The breakfast is not free but is really good.

I had an amazing time at the Washington Hilton...I enjoyed my room and I really enjoyed the crab corn chowder I had at the hotel restaurant...I could have took a container of that home....Now the best part was... the gym and the trainers as well as...THE ROOF TOP POOL!!!!! OMG THE ROOF TOP POOL WAS HEAVEN....I love to swim and got a couple of laps in. My stay was peaceful and wonderful!

I have never waited so long for elevators, even in hotels with fewer elevator cars. After minutes of waiting the arriving car would be too crowded to enter and then the waiting process begins again. The stairs were hard to find and the staircase I tried led to the outside with no way to get off property and no re-entry. You really need to have the stairs be usable especially if you can’t solve your elevator crowding issues.

This is the worse Hilton I have ever stayed at. There were holes in the sheets and the bed was so old and uncomfortable. When I mentioned to the check out staff about the sheets they didn’t apologize or anything in that caliber. I will never stay at this hotel again.

I never leave a review but now realize that you should so management can make changes or adjustments. 1st the towel I grabbed out of the shower was dirty. 2 the sofa was stained and dirty 3 the rug and floor were stained and dirty Just coming from a Homewood suite stay 2 days before was shocking to see the difference. Both being Hilton properties you would expect the same level and standard. The washington Hilton was 2x’s the price and only for one night!! Terrible experience. I can say staff was friendly and listened to my complaint.

Would have loved a fridge in room, stairways (emergency egress) are very difficult to find. I would have used stairs v elevators especially during peak times. A conventional coffee maker in room would also be great (keurig) otherwise the rooms are clean, comfortable, a bit on the smallish side, but the hotel is in a very walkable neighborhood with lots of nice restaurants, (the hotel restaurants are pricey and have a very limited menu)

The room and the bathroom were clean. The room was not soundproofed and we would easily hear the next rooms voices. There was also a noisy electrical cabinet in the room which was bothering us at all time especially while sleeping. There was not a mini fridge in the room to keep our beverages and food cold.

The rooms were small for the price, no room for toiletries in the bathroom, beds are very soft, ceiling in the restaurant needs to be repaired, needs some upgrades. But it was within walking distance to where we wanted to go. Asked to pre-pay parking and received a parking card/pass and yet still paid when we left. Parking costs are ridiculously high. All in all a pleasant hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We encountered unprofessional and disappointing treatment during our stay at this property, and I’m sad to say that it falls far below the standard expected of a “Washington Hilton.” To start, we faced an inconvenience with parking. Despite paying a premium rate for the night, the hotel parking lot was overbooked, forcing us to park in an offsite garage. Though this wouldn’t have prompted me to file a complaint, the overall lack of professionalism and unsafe environment from the staff did. We were four young women, who were aggressively yelled at, presented with physical signs of aggression, and our items thrown onto cart by baggage attendant Abdul. He forced my friends to tip him, even presenting his cash app, when they politely hinted that they wished not to by stating they didn't have cash. To make matters worse, when I tried to notify the hotel staff, I was told by reception that there was no manager available and that I would need to speak with the cart attendants, as they operated in a separate area from reception. What is the point of having reception if not to handle guest issues? The only redeeming part of this experience was that cart manager Manuel was VERY HELPFUL and apologetic, he took me seriously as well as the traffic/safety attendant on stand by. I did later receive a call from Hilton but I still believe that unsafe experience from an employee warrants a review to aware parents, young and all women like me and my friends.

Disorganized and Unpleasant Stay I recently stayed at the Washington Hilton DC, and my experience was far below expectations. The stay was riddled with issues, starting with a parking pass that didn’t work as described and breakfast not being included, despite being advertised otherwise. The most frustrating part of my stay was being locked out of my room on New Year’s Day because the hotel failed to link my two-night reservation. I had called ahead to confirm this, and my Hilton Honors app showed both nights were linked. However, the front desk insisted the reservations were separate and placed the blame on me instead of addressing their internal miscommunication. There was no effort to notify me of the issue before locking me out. To add to the inconvenience, I was escorted by security to retrieve my credit card for another deposit, even though I had already paid at check-in. This was both humiliating and unnecessary. As a frequent traveler and loyal Hilton Honors member, I was deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and accountability. I expected better service and communication. I cannot recommend this property and would advise others to look for alternatives that value their guests’ experience.

The hotel was overbooked. The customer service and communication was horrific. I waited in line for 90 minutes at check in - only to be told they had no room for me and I was being moved to a different Hilton property 27 miles away. I incurred 175 dollars of Uber fees that I was not compensated for - was never apologized to - got no upgrade and it took be 90 minutes to get into the city the next day. In 25 years of work travel this was my worst hotel experience by far.

The bell desk (by the revolving door) is staffed with FANTASTIC people who are kind and very helpful. However, when I had an issue with a lost package I’d had delivered from Amazon (never got it), the ‘Guest Relations’ people (or whatever it’s called) were not great. I ended up speaking with multiple folks and one of them promised to look into things for me, took my number and said he’d call back. Still waiting for that call… GREAT gym and bartenders in the bar are fun.

Nice Hilton Hotel smack dab in the middle of DC. Its pricey but worth it for business in the capital and seeing all the sites easily and conveniently. If your employer is paying then stay here! If not, there are probably more affordable options that may make more sense. However, staying so close to everything saved me on transport and other expenses that come up when I stay outside of the capital. Its walking distance from Adams Morgan where I like to hang out so for me it was worth any extra cost.

This was my 2nd stay in this neighborhood. 1 year ago, I stayed across the street at a diff hotel. I love this hood and the fact that its more urban neighborhood than actual downtown hustle/bustle city street. The walk to/from Hilton to Dupont Circle Metro is less than 10 minutes. There are tons of restaurants in all directions. The lobby and concorse are beautiful and accessible. The elevators are nice and never had to wait long for one. The corridors are really narrow and dark but the actual elevator lobby part was well lit and huge. It was annoying there was only 1 ice machine on the floor. Its was a hike from my room on opposite wing. But as a designer architect, I appreciate & cognizent of older architecture layouts. This is a huge hotel with an overall unique floor template. The staff was so nice & accommodating. King bed room was small. Not too small, but efficient and not huge. The bathroom was great, it was clean, great tub, decent counter space and shelves. Did not like the lighted mirror, it was pretty dull. Maybe add a dimmer switch?....so you can have max light for makeup and low for late night? Did appreciate light in the shower. Tons of dresser drawer space, very nice lounge chair and desk with task chair. I did have to work during my 4 night stay. The closet was the draw back, it was tiny. When I called to request a refrigerator, they brought one within 10 minutes, which was super fast.

Hotel is in DuPont Circle. 30 minute walk to the national mall. 20 minute walk to the zoo. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds are clean and comfortable. We have a very nice stay for a long weekend.

Hotel has a great location. Room was very nice but bathroom had some mildew on shower wall. Staff was ery nice and were quick to correct an error in the billing of a "destination charge" which should have been applied to room service. Restaurant was very hugely expensive for breakfast. Overall excellent but my issue was with breakfast. The staff at breakfast seemed unable to confirm if breakfast or which breakfast options were included in my room rate. Then the biffet breakfast...I ambused to powdered scrambled eggs but I've never had any which were so devoid of taste. I asked for ketchup and was given a bowl of in hpuse made tomatoe source...which also didn't have much in the way of taste.

The brunch buffet on Sat morning was amazing, I just hope it's like that everyday of the week. Our room on the 8th flr had a great view. Just avoid Sidecar, terrible service, it almost spoiled our stay, and the main reason I can't give this place 5 stars.

A/C in first room didn't work. Waited an hour for maintenance (after 9pm at night, bedtime). No one came so they put me in a different room ... A/C was only marginally better. Not sure if it was an issue with the floor I was on or more widespread. They did say maintenance had 'a lot' of people ahead of me when I called. Room got down to 72 degrees overnight, which isn't terrible but not expected for DC in August.

Room wasn't the cleanest. Found the previous guests socks in the closet and what looked to be grapes on the floor around the nightstand.
