Great location. Nice hotel overall. Parking was tough because our truck was too big to fit in the garage or the valet. The toilet in our room had issues the first two days we were there, but they eventually got it fixed. would stay there again though if we have a smaller car.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient and within walking distance to the Capitol. Our room was quite dark. Hotel parking is valet only and runs around $60/day. There's a parking deck across the street from the hotel that costs only $25/day. The street the hotel is on is relatively safe, but the next block felt sketchy. The street the hotel is on and the entrance to the hotel reek of marijuana, but that's beyond the control of the hotel. Overall, we had a good stay.

It's a very solid hotel for the price point. Nothing flashy but they keep it up well. They even recommended cheaper parking options than their in house valet. Breakfast place around the corner compliments the continental breakfast. Short walk to US Capitol and Union Station but a long walk to other monuments. We utilized Big Bus tours that stopped at Union Station.

The hotel itself is really nice. There is a convenient parking garage right across the street so you can self park and skip the valet fees! My only complaint is that it doesn’t have much option for food or drink. There are a couple of Irish pubs around the corner, but for more options, we walked about a mile into Chinatown to get access to more options. And even then, we really didn’t have a breakfast option besides Starbucks. But it is located near the Capitol and we walked to that and toured the building.

Friendly staff and very helpful. EV charging is available that the valet will do if requested (no charge). Excellent location and the DC Circulator around the grounds of the Capital District is just about 300 sq ft away at Union Station!

Wifi was terrible. "Facility Fee" which was charge at check in gives you nothing and was offensive. Only one elevator was in service the three days we were there, which might mean that upkeep is not what it should be. Very close to the train station and the Capital Mall, which worked great. Beds were comfortable and the room spacious enough for our needs.

Decent rooms, clean for what they have, they try . Property itself lacks any lobby gathering space, no onsite restaurants , horrible curb appeal when first impressions are so important . - signage is low quality, damaged , dented? . So close to being a nice boutique” hotel , but just missing the details to pull it off .

Love the super friendly staff. They really could not be nicer and more helpful. The hotel offers many thoughtful amenities, like complementary bike use, fresh water in the lobby and other perks. It is close to the Capitol. Room was very spacious. The decor was worn and the hallways could use some vacuuming.

Only real complaint was when we pulled out the sofa bed for our children, there were shorts and used sheets bundled up on the mattress. We called and they apologized and brought us clean sheets. For the price, I feel that this was poor cleaning when turning over the room

The room was well-appointed. The view was not great, but not every room can have a view. The dinner was excellent and breakfast was mediocre. The dust on the banquette was really unacceptable. The staff could not have been more friendly. They were exceptional in every department.

We stayed on Valentine’s Day and surprisingly parking was easy . Room was clean . We were provided complimentary champagne for our evening with a welcome note. Very romantic. My only and I mean only flaw would be our king bed room was kind of small . I expected a little more space however the room was nice but overall good experience.

Super clean, very convenient to just about anything we wanted to see in DC. I didn’t like that the door to the bathroom was a barn sliding door that didn’t completely block all views in. Was a little uncomfortable for a room to support 5 persons. I’d stay here again and recommend if you were staying in a smaller room.

The combination of thin walls and mediocre behind-the-counter service made our stay two and a half stars at best. If you stay here, remember to check the water out of the tap in a clear glass, as ours was cloudy and smelled rank. After a full weekend of stay, and asking multiple employees on separate occasions, I am still unsure of when and where I am able to buy a bottle of wine for my room. I loved how friendly the staff was. I also loved the decorations throughout the lobby in the bedroom. The area was quiet. There was a cute little breakfast shop around the corner and we were able to walk to the capital. The only thing I could say that was a little tough was that we had to use the pull out couch with the two beds, and it just made the room very very small

We stayed for a week. The staff is amazing and very friendly. There’s no ac in the rooms, only a heater. Thankfully it was cold outside. The windows don’t stay open so we had to brace it with a soap dish. For a “premium” room it was very tight. Again thankfully we didn’t spend too much time in the room. The Capital building is within walking distance as is Union station. Inside union station there are some shops and food options. We also went to a few Smithsonian museums, the Washington and Abe Lincoln monuments. We visited Arlington and the tomb of the unknown soldier. The restaurant attached to the hotel is under construction, and no where in any information did it give guests a heads up. The “breakfast” was a choice between single packaged muffins, banana bread slice, lemon bread slice, or yogurt. There’s a $450 “incident” fee they don’t tell anyone about either, so be prepared. They do refund it after you check out, but if you weren’t planning on a steep fee it can take you by surprise. As soon as you stepped off the elevator on the fourth floor it instantly smelled like cannabis. For a no smoking hotel, there sure was a very strong odor present, and it wasn’t just a day or two, it was the whole week. If you’re not use to seeing homeless everywhere, might want to consider getting use to it. One sleeps under the overhang for the hotel’s restaurant and on a few occasions was sleeping in between the hotel doors. The Founding Farmers and the Dubliner are a must do.

Our week’s stay was marred by broken, basic hotel room and equipment and unresponsive staff who took days to respond to requests to repair them. The single USB power strip didn’t work. It took 3 days for someone to finally repair it even though I asked every morning and afternoon. Light bulbs were burned out; I ended up replacing them myself. The $12.99 WiFi advertised on Expedia was a lie. Instead we were charged $32.99 a day for reasons that are still not clear. Management said they would remove three of those charges for our troubles but never did. I finally submitted a charge-back to my visa. Overall, this was not the experience I expected from an IHG property.

The staff were amazing here. After so many stays at different hotels over the years, I'd forgotten what good service at a hotel was like. Every single person, from the front desk to the cleaning staff were so polite and helpful. The maintenance man in the hallway saw me struggling trying to balance 4 bags and ran to help. My only complaint is that the rooms need more lighting or brighter lights. That isn't really even a complaint, just a suggestion. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to any friends. I was well cared for here and wanted for nothing.

Came into DC for a Festival. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were able to check in early and sort out all our stuff before the event. Valet was also so nice and grab our stuff out in the pouring rain from our car. Will definitely be staying at this hotel if I’m ever back in DC!

Hotel was on par with expectations of a Kimpton property. Clean rooms, comfy beds and good service. Location was fantastic- short walk to Union Station. My only gripe was there were a few rowdy homeless people around hotel heckling patrons and one sleeping in between the front doors. I wish hotel could have done something- but may be out of their control.

It was a comfortable stay. The bed was made and bathrooms cleaned everyday. The staff was always available. The negative aspect is that they don’t have a removable shower head, and breakfast was not available as the restaurant was closed due to renovation. Despite having take away breakfast, they often ran out. This included snacks.

I canceled a Marriott reservation for your hotel. Most disappointed upon check in to learn that breakfast was going to be continental. I specifically booked based on breakfast included (and paid). It was an even further disappointment when I was treated in the morning with hot coffee, hot water, an apple, an orange and choice of 500 calorie packaged chocolate cake or lemon cake. This experience completely spoiled my stay with you.
