The place was nice, staff was great, rooms were clean, common areas were clean, very nice gym on 3rd floor. It is close to many sights and very walkable to most anywhere of interest. It like a 2 minute walk from the metro station. The bellmen were awesome getting cabs, plenty of Ubers as well. My bed was too soft, only downside. There is Macy's right across the street and Wallgreens two blocks away, so you can get what you forget to bring!

I was quite disappointed with several aspects of our recent stay at the Marriott Metro in Washington, DC. First and foremost, the valet parking experience was frustrating. Although my car was brought out promptly when we checked out, the area was chaotic due to multiple guests arriving at once. We were stuck and unable to leave for quite a while. A cab driver even became aggressive with us, and unfortunately, the valet staff did nothing to help manage the situation or assist us in exiting safely. It did not feel like a service worth paying for. Additionally, there was no body wash in our bathroom, and despite requesting it, I never received any during our stay. Lastly, the food quality at the hotel restaurant left much to be desired — it simply didn’t meet the standard I expected from a Marriott property. I hope management takes these comments seriously to improve the overall guest experience.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with 3 kids. Loved that it was close to the Metro and the congeniality of the staff is top notch. We loved the restaurant staff, the front desk, and Jojo was the best bellman. The beds were cozy and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Now on to things that could be improved. The pool is COLD. Since we booked this specific hotel for the pool (kids) it'd be nice if it was a little warmer. Also, the front desk advertises a $15 credit (already included in your destination fee). This turned out to be a ploy as it cannot be used in the snack shop or at Starbucks, only in the Restaurant/Room Service. Nothing at either is $15 or less, so we ended up spending a lot more than intended to utilize the credit. But I suppose a nice perk if you've already planned to eat at the Spotted Zebra anyways.

The thing I appreciated most was the comfortable bed and pillows! The room was nice and the convenience of Starbucks and a restaurant was a great addition. My only complaint was the swimming pool. It was so overly crowded the times we tried to go. When we finally had a chance to go and it wasn't filled with children, it was filthy. The water was murky, had all kinds of hair and some trash in it. It clearly isn't cleaned regularly. We couldn't even swim and enjoy this amenity. It was very disappointing.

Ok. Nice new rooms. Pool heat wasn't on Gymn is nice. Staff was friendly, especially Guyanese woman whos name started woth T. The water bottle filler in gymn perfect. valet nice. bellmen nice. housekeeping nice. only minus was that i had to ask for towels everyday. they were always short.

Valet parking rate is awful - $63 tip for overnight parking. It took a desk manager at least 25 minutes to add the parking to my bill. I woke up in the morning to the hotel construction - sounded like it was right over my head and banging on my wall.

Very clean, modern, convenient with a Starbucks attached. The Valet Parker’s were extremely friendly. We felt welcomed from the start. This place was in walking distance to many museums, monuments and great restaurants! The metro was located right outside of the property. Couldn’t get any better. We loved our stay.

Very nice hotel a 10 minute walk from the National Mall. Rooms were spotless, as was the rest of the hotel. The pool was great at the end of a hot day walking around all the museums! The only quibbles were that if the booking is for 3 people, why only provide 2 glasses/coffees etc. We immediately had to ask for more. Also, in this day and age, I can't see why a hotel doesn't offer a basic free WiFi service in rooms, and charge if people want a faster one. $12.95 a day for WiFi seems excessive!

Great location! The hotel is undergoing renovations currently - do not let that deter you from staying here! Our room was spotless, freshly remodeled and very comfortable. Daily housekeeping was provided and was exceptional. We stayed during the week of the 4th of July. We never waited for an elevator nor to be seated at the delicious downstairs restaurant. All around our stay was exceptional.

The hotel itself was clean and spacious and updated. Service in the restaurant was incredibly slow and there was no toiletries (lotion, soap, etc) in the room. Beds were very comfortable. We also were able to check in early which was nice.

. Very beautiful hotel, love the pool and the hotel gym - both utilized. Love the restaurant, delicious room service option, and that there was a Starbucks in the lobby. We were tucked back in the corner of the hallway where it seems the air conditioning was sub par. The room was muggy no matter how low you put the thermostat it didn’t get down below 70°. The toilet ran all the time and didn’t flush, I had to fix it myself. If the room maintenance functioned properly; which I hope most rooms do, I would give it 5 stars. The location is perfect and staff is kind and helpful!

What I like the most about this Marriott metro dc hotel room, hallway and lobby is that it is clean! I have stayed in other hotels that the cleanliness is questionable. The noises coming from the hallway into our room was quite annoying. There is a gap between the bottom of the door and the carpet and we were able to hear all the commotion outside on the hall when people are talking walking or running. I am not sure if there is a reason for that gap. I slept with my noise cancellations headset on afterwards. The king room comes with a sofabed in case you are travelling with a child with you. I will stay again.

Trudy, the front desk wasn’t having it that day. Bathroom sink in the room has mold on sides. Pool is filthy. Water tasted salty and looked murky. Really disgusting. Two stars for the scent of the hotel when you walk in and the great bartenders at the bar.

Great location. Great staff. Clean! The only remark is that the beds are not the best. The mattress are too soft and they have double beds (not queen beds), which is tough to sleep in for two adults.

The pros of this hotel are its location made walking to many of the most popular tourist destinations easy and convenient. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I was traveling one with my teenage child and safety was important in my choice of hotel and I do feel this location met that need. The cons- the hotel restaurant had very limited options and the food was pretty disgusting. The beds and pillows are hard and not comfortable after a long day of sightseeing. The worst part are is the walls are paper thin and we were woken up multiple times every night we were there by loud guests.

Loved the updated, limited carpet, rooms. Plenty of storage in drawers and closet. Bathroom was beautifully lit. Plenty of charging outlets. Downstairs smelled great and welcoming, plenty of seating in lobby to chill out!

Customer service was great! Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious and complimentary flavored water by the elevator was really refreshing. Room was clean. The temperature was a bit warm in the room even though the thermostat was set at 65 our room registered at 69… a little warm and stuffy. Not great noise reduction in the hallway, sounded like our door was open and we were near the ice machine. Overall a pretty good stay for the price.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with 3 kids. Loved that it was close to the Metro and the congeniality of the staff is top notch. We loved the restaurant staff, the front desk, and Jojo was the best bellman. The beds were cozy and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Now on to things that could be improved. The pool is COLD. Since we booked this specific hotel for the pool (kids) it'd be nice if it was a little warmer. Also, the front desk advertises a $15 credit (already included in your destination fee). This turned out to be a ploy as it cannot be used in the snack shop or at Starbucks, only in the Restaurant/Room Service. Nothing at either is $15 or less, so we ended up spending a lot more than intended to utilize the credit. But I suppose a nice perk if you've already planned to eat at the Spotted Zebra anyways.

I had already prepaid for valet parking with my reservation but the employee at the counter did not understand and insisted I pay for parking. Manager came over and quickly glanced at my reservation in the system and saw that I prepaid for parking and assured me that I would not be charged at check out and to double check receipt. Check out came and I was charged for parking. Spoke with front desk to have it removed. There is a huge gap in training between the staff that would eliminate the errors and inconvenience. Spotted Zebra restaurant inside of the hotel - I found a huge piece of broken glass in my water glass! Thankfully I didn’t cut myself on it or given to my son in his glass. Our glasses were not broken so the broken glass came from Lord knows where! This should have never happened. I let the waiter know, she apologized and removed the entire glass from the table. Valet parking- a valet employee stole roughly $23 from my center, closed console. I’m not upset about the money, it’s the principle of the matter and leaves me feeling violated.

Staff at reception not friendly or helpful at all, Trudy was very unhelpful, no customer service at all, was just u pleasant, also on wet day asked another reception member was there any umbrellas available as we had small baby I was just told no and she turned away, very unfriendly staff, no effort at all, the restaurant staff were amazing.

Ms. Trudy and Mr. Keith were awesome and helpful. I appreciated Ms. Trudy lettin me know being a Bonvoy member allowed me to have free WiFi as I was unsure if it counted when booking through Expedia. This was the best hotel for the price, especially on Easter weekend!

Great choice for our two night stay in Washington! A superb location, near the museums, steps away from the metro, and walking distance from restaurants, pharmacies and shops. We felt safe and comfortable. The Starbucks inside te hotel was a definite plus!!

I was quite disappointed with several aspects of our recent stay at the Marriott Metro in Washington, DC. First and foremost, the valet parking experience was frustrating. Although my car was brought out promptly when we checked out, the area was chaotic due to multiple guests arriving at once. We were stuck and unable to leave for quite a while. A cab driver even became aggressive with us, and unfortunately, the valet staff did nothing to help manage the situation or assist us in exiting safely. Lastly, the food quality at the hotel restaurant left much to be desired — it simply didn’t meet the standard I expected from a Marriott property. Our experience was excellent, but for one thing. My wife and I went to the hotel lounge our second night and sat at the bar for ten minutes and were never served. The bar only had five other couples there and both bartenders glanced at my wife and I, but never acknowledged our presence or came over to take our order. It was a very disappointing experience on which to end our stay as we checked out the following morning.

The pros of this hotel are its location made walking to many of the most popular tourist destinations easy and convenient. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I was traveling one with my teenage child and safety was important in my choice of hotel and I do feel this location met that need. The cons- the hotel restaurant had very limited options and the food was pretty disgusting. The beds and pillows are hard and not comfortable after a long day of sightseeing.
