I came for the pool for July 4th. I got a chair and umbrella so I was all set, but the pool was way too crowded and people were sitting on the ground. The staff were very nice and brought out chairs for people, but there should have been a capacity limit. Otherwise stay was great!

The staff are excellent. Personable, helpful and kind. From Josephine who checked us in at the front desk to our valet who helped us depart, all showed a professionalism that Omni has had since we first stayed here over 15 years ago. The pool is delightful, with food and beverage and very clean bathroom shower facilities

We had a very nice stay at the Omni. The location is great because you're not in the center of the DC chaos/business. The garden and grounds in the back of the hotel were beautiful. The room was OK, but it did smell a bit musty. One negative was parking -- no self park option. Valet parking is $65 per day.

Solid four star hotel (although the pool is a little too small for the size of the property), and a good value, but there are a number of hidden charges that add up quickly. The required valet parking is unnecessarily expensive at $65 a night (including tax). Omni also charges an additional $25 a night “destination” fee. So if you book this property just be prepared to pay another $100 a night in addition to Expedia’s room rate.

Reasonably priced, resort style hotel in the heart of DC. The rooms well sized, the ac worked great in our room (a friends room did not work as well, staying at 72 the whole time) and the elevators ran fast. The staff at Omni was very accommodating allowing for late check out. Bartenders at the pool were amazing and breakfast at Robert’s was very delicious. Lots of activities for young children to take advantage of. Very satisfied with our stay.

Didn't like that place too much. My room felt very old and used up. Bathroom was the smallest terrible bathroom ive seen in the hotel, i think even 3 star hotels have better bathrooms. All room was musty and smelled like bleach, like they were cleaning up a crime scene before i arrived or something. Went out for breakfast in the morning and my room was not cleaned up when i came back at around 12pm, which i find ridiculous. The only thing i liked about the hotel is the territory and the beautiful lobby. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous inside and around its territory, gives the vibes of old American hotels. Has beatiful red oak bar as well. If not for the room condition and this terrible bathroom, id recommend it to anyone with no second thought.

the young man ( curly hair m26?) at the desk was very polite and helpful. the room was nice, the lobby was nice, felt very sophisticated, elevators were slow and it took a few trips to be able to get down or up, would recommend more to better transport the amount of people you gave staying there. the bathrooms had water buildup and black stuff in the shower, and quite a bit of dust build up on the outlets. didn't explore what they had to offer, but the rooms and lobby were nice.

I love this historic property! It has become my “go-to” when in DC. With an expansive terrace and beautiful gardens that overlook Rock Creek Park, it feels like an oasis resort within the city. And yet, it is only a short block from a red line Metro station, offering easy access to the rest of the city. Additionally, I believe it is the closest hotel to both the Smithsonian Zoo and the National Cathedral. The hotel is nearly 100 years old but quite well-maintained. On this last visit, our room did have an “old musty” smell, a singular distraction in an otherwise stellar stay.

The building was beautiful and clearly kept clean. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. I felt the smell of my room was extremely off putting but overall the room was still clean. I was also disappointed my fridge was not working. Even with the few complaints I would absolutely return for another visit.

I was excited to stay here! The hotel is gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The rooms could use some updating, they’re dated by the wallpaper and carpet but they’re still nice. Be weary of bugs that like carpet and wallpaper! You might come across one like we did on checkout day. :( The service from the pool bar and the hotel lounge was impeccable! Yaya was kind and helpful. I stayed with my fiancé and our close friends for our birthday celebration and overall had a nice time.

Business trip. no microwave or fridge in room. Cooling unit is a joke I know it’s an old hotel but amenities in room was a comical. Hey but at least it had a bed and shower. No counter space in the bathroom. Couldn’t log on to my streaming apps as browser was not working.

Great classic hotel. Rooms clean but not much room in bathroom for toiletries. No counter space. Rooms are spacious but feel a bit empty. Could use another piece of furniture. Also, the cooling units don’t work and should be replaced with refrigerators.

Hotel and staff were great. We were upgraded to a Deluxe King room on the front of the building. It was a bit noisy with car horns sirens etc. Might opt for a traditional room overlooking the gardens instead next time. Other than that it was great and I would stay there again.

This is an older property so it does have a smell that was a little difficult to get past. I wasn't able to hang anything in the closet due to the smell. There are also not a lot of USB outlets either which is handy given the types of devices we all use these days. The pool is also not as big as it seems on the pictures.

I am a very light sleeper and while I was given a quiet room, location-wise, the air conditioner is extremely noisy and has no medium or low settings and in auto it will turn off, then turn on very loudly. In the late evening I asked for help on this and the staff was "above and beyond" helpful - they moved me to a newer wing which was a bit complicated (checking to see if rooms were available in the wing that is not used much, etc.). The second room was excellent - exceedingly quiet in terms of both location in the hotel, and above all the cooling system. A minor point but I had to request bathrobes in both my first location (the one I left) and the second one. Room service came quickly with these. I feel bad mentioning the loud cooler problem because in every other way this hotel is an excellent choice everyone was so helpful, and the hotel has great amenities (on-site restaurant and lounge, etc.) but if you need quiet you might find this hotel challenging.

I arrived hours before their standard check-in time, but they were still able to get me into a room right away. My king room was not huge, but still had plenty of space, an elegant bathroom, and a comfy wingback chair plus ottoman as well as a desk and separate chair. My only complaint is that the room's outlets are awkwardly placed, so for a traveler with lots of devices that need charging, or if you wanted to work from the bed or the armchair while plugged in, your choices are limited. The hotel is within walking distance of some cute eateries, and the area is otherwise fairly residential.

I am a regular guest the stay was fine, it was a quiet week with not many guests but there was a LOT of construction noise for repairs inside and outside the building. Alsos the water was shut off for various hours. The evening was quiet. Also I left a set of keys in the room and some personal items I called Loss Prevention several times. No one ever called me back. This happened in 2019 also when my luggage went missing I called and even came to complain in person; nothing was done about it and I received no apology.

The front desk manager was not helpful. I was ill staying in my room so not to go into public spaces. I ask the front desk to send up hot tea or hot water with lemon. the manager refused stating there is no room service before 5 at night. I could not eat breakfast nor lunch, while I stayed in the hotel. I called multiple times. The answer was NO. I ask for concierge and he refused me. I travel often but have never ran into this problem before. Bad Front desk Manager.

The staff and service were excellent. When we arrived, they upgraded our room, which we really appreciated since my child ended up getting the flu and we spent more of our vacation than we had planned to in the hotel. The pool is lovely. The room was clean and quiet, with very comfortable beds. The elevator is fast, we never had to wait long. There are coffee and gift shops right in the lobby. The hotel is one block from the metro and a good variety of restaurants, and an easy walk to the zoo. Right across from the hotel is Open City restaurant, which is great for breakfast/brunch. Within a block, you can find Ethiopian, Italian, Lebanese, McDonald's, Chinese, etc. and a nice cafe- Rose Ave Bakery. There is also a CVS one block away and the bus stops right in front of the hotel, both of which were very helpful. We were able to take the 96 bus a few stops directly to the MedStar Health Urgent Care (which I'd also recommend) in Adams Morgan when my child had the flu, then take the bus back and pick up a prescription right there at the CVS. The staff at the hotel were very kind and accommodating. They gave my kids special gift bags when we checked in, and the concierge offered to send up a tea kettle and chicken soup to our room when she learned my child was sick. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful with the cherry blossoms and tulips. In addition to the pool, we enjoyed playing cornhole and using the hammocks on the back lawn. We'll definitely be back next time we're in DC.

We arrived and found out that you HAD to valet your car and it was $55 per night. I couldn’t get any further info regarding alternative parking as the valet manager decided to just turn and walk away mid sentence to help another patron. We Got inside and found out that there’s an additional $100 per night hold for incidentals, at check out, there was an additional $35 daily service fee.The manager on duty the first night laughed at my autistic daughter. We got to the room and the sheets were dirty. The second day, went to grab something from the mini fridge but it was not working. I went to the desk to let them know and the lady behind the desk looked at me like I was an idiot and said “that’s not a fridge, that’s a cooler” I asked how one would know that, I didn’t receive an answer. I asked for a refund for the food that was spoiled (it was from the hotel’s restaurant) and the woman told me “well, you won’t be getting that” when the manager came over and I started telling him what she said, he told me I was lying. I couldn’t finish the conversation with him because my Lyft had arrived to bring me and my family to The Warped Tour. When we returned, we just avoided the staff for the remainder of our stay. My bf and I went outside on our last night and there was a man sleeping in one of the flower planters. We woke him up to make sure he was ok, I guess he was because he was sleeping in the lobby when we went to go back to our room.

I had a wonderful stay at the Omni Shoreham Hotel! The service was excellent—staff were consistently pleasant, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The hotel’s location is ideal especially for a conference. It has all the necessary requirements (coffee, gym, restaurants, and pool) with easy access to both the venue and many of the city's main attractions. Families will appreciate the thoughtful amenities like the playroom with arts and crafts for children, and the pool lift that makes swimming accessible for everyone. There’s plenty of variety without needing to leave the property—perfect after a long day of meetings or sightseeing. Overall, Omni Shoreham is a fantastic choice for both business and leisure. I’d happily return!

They only have valet so valet staff should be helpful. They are lazy! They watched me, my husband carry our own bags while I pushed an infant in a stroller!!! Then when we checked out the man stood there with his hand out for a tip. The checkout boy was talking to another employee about a girl inappropriately. Giggling like children. No manners at all!! Definitely not worth the money to stay. The check in man was friendly but he’s the only one. We stayed there to be near the zoo. I will stay farther out next time!! Horrible immature staff.

Traveled with my husband and young child - hotel was beautiful, clean, great service. Kid friendly with a play room and bouncy house/games set up on the weekend nights. Walking distance to metro station and plenty of restaurants as well as a CVS. Would recommend!

Beds are VERY firm Bistro closed at 6pm so nothing to eat at hotel but room service and you have to pay $55 a day for valet parking so with all the extras it’s not worth it

Great hotel amenities and the staff was very helpfull. David from Concierge was very knowleageble and he helped us booking tours. Our experience with Lounge was very good. 1st breakfast at Richard's was very bad. My wife returned the not cooked eggs and they were returned still not cooked after less than 5 min as they were left under an infrared lamp.This was not a safe practice. My omlette was the quality of a 2 stars dinner. The potatoes were boiled and slightly roasted, Tomatoes not riped and no taste.The fruits platter was moldy and expired fruits. We complained to our server. We decided not to come to Richards based on out experience and other hotel's guests. We noted every day Richard's was almost empty for breakfast and dinner even the hotel was very busy.

I would say the property exudes regal elegance. Our room was nice and clean. I absolutely loved the garden. I loved the breakfast/lunch restaurant, but wished they also served dinner. The other restaurant was not adequate for dinner.
