The room was terrific. Lots of space for a family of 4. Onsite breakfast was very handy. Guest laundry and the ability to purchase detergent at the hotel was great. Not much within walking distance as far as restaurant or grocery options, but a short car ride opens many possibilities.

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was clean but the refrigerator didn't work. The staff was right up there to look at it. They brought a new one up for us. No complaints there. On our second night though a four legged critter mouse/rat not sure, came scurrying under the door. It hid under the bed for a bit when we started trying to look for it and see what it was. Then, when we sat back down it went running on out. Lord knows where it went after that. We put a towel under the door to deter it from coming back in. The staff seemed unconcerned when told about it. As if it were a common occurrence. They implied that they come in from the Arboretum all the time and would put traps down when we check out.

We arrived after the first half of our trip in VA. We opened the door to the room and it stunk like old cigarettes and chemicals tying to cover that smell. They told us the hotel was booked and couldn’t change the room. The following day they said they might be able to change the room-nope. 3 nights of disgusting smell. The towels smelled maybe clean but not bleach clean like the last hotel-same for the bedding. The parque floor was dirty. Surfaces were dirty. Continental breakfast was ok. The young lady working the breakfast was overly friendly our first morning. I did not appreciate that she handled and handed us each of our paper plates and plastic ware after cleaning counters and not washing or sanitizing her hands in between. She probably got wind of our dissatisfaction of the stinky room and was only polite the next 2 mornings. The neighborhood was bad. A lot of homeless people, grafitti, lots of sirens. I recommend if you are desperate. If you want a nice comfy and not grossed out stay, move on and find somewhere else

There was a lot of noise during the evening coming from the outdoor seating near the lobby. People talking and laughing all night long. Breakfast was limited and we were told on a couple of the days that they completely ran out of some items, leaving only bread w/o butter and coffee. We had difficulties with our room keys and one never worked at all. The floors in the room were pretty dirty and there were a lot of chips and cracks in the furniture and shower. The room was always made up nice and supplies replenished when we would return at night. The staff was unprofessional and unhelpful. Often spoke down and fought with guests, super unwilling to be helpful, unfortunately. The room served its purpose as just some place for us to store our luggage and rest while we explore the city, though it would’ve been nice to know we were coming back to a comfortable and quiet space to get good rest.

Great staff, very friendly. Nice room, very beautiful. Breakfast buffet was easy. Just basic, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, toast, juice, muffins, coffee. Very clean, but neighborhood bordered the bad side of town.

Hotel lobby was very clean & appealing. Room was very spacious, clean & welcoming. Ample room to move around. Micro & mini fridge in room. Spacious bathroom sink/countertop. No one at front desk when we arrived. Had to eat our take out dinner in our vehicle until staff came back to the front desk. Other than that, it was a great stay. Will return for sure!

This was probably a very nice hotel at one point. It is rather run down now. Our room had a broken deadbolt and latch and the card scanner barely worked. The bubbler in the workout room was empty. My mattress was worn out. The bathroom was functionally fine, but it was old and with scratches and cracks everywhere. The staff was fantastic...very friendly and helpful. The TV in the room was nice and the AC was very quiet. Breakfast was rather limited, but the staff was doing their best servering with the limited resources and food they had. The neighborhood seems to be going through some hard times...it is very run down with a lot of abandoned buildings.

The location of this hotel is awful, which is on me for not checking more closely, but be warned. The first set of door keys didn't work, but the nice lady at the desk replaced them for us quickly. Next, the deadbolt got stuck so the door wouldn't close, which I managed to fix myself. Finally, the fire alarm went off at 6 AM waking us up. Burnt toast. Upon returning to the room the room key didn't work again and we replaced it for a second time. Aside from that, you can hear every noise in the halls, and folks were noisy, knocking on doors and calling to people in the middle of the night. The beds were comfortable, though, and the room was pretty clean, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The room was spacious and clean, I loved the liytle kitchen and living room areas. The beds were very comfortable. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the room keys stopped working a few times but staff was prompt to replace them and very friendly. I want to give extra kudos to the management and breakfast staff. They handled a large breakfast crowd with grace, kindness and competency.

I stayed here in March. Bought a package through Expedia. When I checked out they charged me again for the hotel. Today marks a month with over a dozen phone calls, promises to return my calls with an answer-never happened, and I’m still out $500. Ms Hawkins-the manager, told me from the beginning that it was a computer issue and it was the hotel’s fault. That the auditor was returning my money and it’s never happened. She told me today that there was nothing else she could do for me. I feel as though a theft has occurred

We started by being impressed with Wanda during check in. Our room was comfortable and clean. Any interaction with the staff was impressive. All of them were courteous, helpful and polite. This was by far our best hotel experience in years. Very impressed with this property and the staff here.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The front desk staff were unfriendly and unhelpful throughout our stay. Our keycards stopped working every single time we left the room, and when we asked for them to be reactivated, the receptionists gave us attitude—as if it was our fault that all three keys constantly malfunctioned. It felt like basic hospitality was missing, and we were made to feel like a burden for needing access to our own room.

Room was clean and workable. Checking in was a nightmare. First room given was already occupied and I walked in on a couple. Second room was not what I’d reserved. About 45 minutes into arriving at the hotel, I got my room. Scary how they don’t know what rooms are occupied or king/double queen. Certainly worried about security of the joint when they give me keys to an occupied room.

Every single staff member was friendly. Wanda, Michelle and Angela were extremely helpful and polite. The room had hardwood floors with and was clean. Even the housekeepers had a smile. Definitely will be back again when I’m in town.

The front desk held $445 on my account even though my room was paid in full before I got there. This hold was for three days, then after they fixed that they held $100 for incidentals. When I got there the front desk girl told me there would be no hold, they just needed my card on file as protocol for damages. I checked out today and the rep could not fix my account, she told me to wait for tomorrow……Very poor customer service… do not recommend. The room was ok, the area sketchy….

I booked two nights at this hotel but told the front desk manager at check-in that I would only stay one night because many attractions in Washington, D.C. were closed that weekend and the surroundings of the hotel felt less safe and convenient than expected. The manager kindly agreed to adjust my stay and even asked me to sign a form confirming the change. I appreciated his understanding and believed everything was properly handled. However, I was still charged for two nights. When I later contacted Hotels.com, they were very helpful and tried several times to reach the property, but the hotel refused to acknowledge the agreement. It’s disappointing that the hotel did not honor what was agreed upon at the front desk. I hope management improves communication and billing transparency so that future guests won’t experience the same issue.

The person at the front desk (whose name was Angela I believe) greeted us upon arrival and was an absolute joy! We arrived late for checkin after a long flight but she made sure everything was ok with us and did such a smooth checkin. Thank you so much again! The room we had was spacious and very clean; the view we had was parking lot but we didn’t mind at all! It was calm, the beds were comfortable and soooo big (we miss them actually). The staff we met along the way were so accommodating and absolute gems! Such wonderful people! We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in DC, thank you!

All in all it was a nice hotel with fairly friendly staff, there is no shuttle service as is advertised on their website. Fair walk to downtown, which is fine, I wanted to see everything I could, including the surrounding areas. The area looked a little run down and could be perceived as unsafe, but I had no problems with anyone, everyone I talked to was quite nice. All in all it was a nice trip, but due to the amount of walking, I never did make it down for the breakfast. Would stay here again.

Breakfast the first day had a person who shouldn’t have been there who could have had a little better hygiene. Food was left uncovered so it was cold on the top. Otherwise the room was clean and comfy. Water pressure was perfect. Neighborhood was a little noisy but I expect that from DC (sirens at night). Hotel is a little far from all the historic stuff so we Ubered every day an it was $15 - $20ish each time. Hotel staff friendly. Plenty of food. Comfy beds. Safe building. Clean room. Would stay again.

The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was really good. Parking was convenient but seriously overpriced. It’s a long ways into the city if you are in DC to see the sights. The location did not feel safe to walk around off of the property.

Location wasn't great. All the main roads around there don't allow left turns so it takes 15 minutes to go around the block. However, the staff were super friendly and helpful with local information. I want to make a special mention of Sean, who managed the breakfast. It's rare these days to encounter someone who takes pride in their work, especially with something like food service. Sean never stopped moving, making sure patrons followed hygiene practices, ensuring everything was fully stocked, greeting everyone warmly. If I had a restaurant or customer service job to offer, I would have! Hope management takes notice of this.

This hotel is not close to "downtown" Washington but we knew this before going and it was not an issue for us. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Staff was friendly at check in. There is a $20 parking. Breakfast was ok. Overall a nice stay.

We enjoyed our stay!! The hotel staff was so friendly!! My back never hurt!! Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt and muffins. Price was fantastic for our stay!

Guurrrrlllllll…… the rooms are clean and staff was friendly … it’s a lil ways away from the mall … prepare to pay $15-$20 each way …. The brekfast is good but get there early because they do run out! DC is a place you visit once and only once . It was a chill experience. There is a gas station a checkers and a McDonald’s across the street also.

Great staff, very friendly. Nice room, very beautiful. Breakfast buffet was easy. Just basic, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, toast, juice, muffins, coffee. Very clean, but neighborhood bordered the bad side of town.

Breakfast was very disappointing. No variety. My husband took some scrambled eggs and the hostess told him he should save some for others. He had 2 spoonfuls only and the eggs were horrible. There wasn’t even sugar for coffee.

Overall great stay but both mornings there was little on the breakfast buffet i could wat due to dietary restrictions. Think about adding waffle or pancake machine. Other than that it was good.
