Read the fine print about this hotel - you are charged a daily valet fee. Also, don’t pick up any of the mini bar items as they are on a weighted sensor, so if you pick it up you get charged, and don’t open up the fridge either. If you need a separate fridge for your things you have to request one. No microwave. Clean and beautiful space but my first 20 minutes of this place I was frustrated for having to pay for valet service (my fault for not reading the fine print) and for accidentally picking up a mini bar item (I didn’t eat it but I picked it up).

The hotel public spaces were very nice and well maintained. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Don’t miss afternoon tea in Peacock Alley, my grandchildren really enjoyed the experience. There is a little museum with the history of the hotel, we found it quite interesting.

Overall0c our stay was pretty good. However, we had to ask for housekeeping three times until they came. Also, the housekeeper left the bottle of cleaner in the bathroom and didn’t remove used soap from the bathroom from the previous occupant. When we arrived, they started helping people around us and people behind us because they mistook my Chevy suburban for a limo. I had to get out of the vehicle to get someone to help us. On the plus side, the hotel is beautiful, pretty clean, and the location is great. Most of the staff is quite friendly.

The staff was marvelous and took excellent care of us. They accommodated an early check in request- we had arrived on a red eye flight and were exhausted. The room was beautiful, clean, cool, and quiet. The concierge was great with directions and providing local information. The laundry was so kind and helpful. We will always stay here when we visit DC in the future.

Having traveled extensively and stayed at numerous hotels, we can confidently say The Willard stands above the rest. Our visit was made truly unforgettable by your Guest Relations Quality Manager, Ali Tuzyurek. Ali went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, securing us adjoining rooms and surprising us with complimentary cakes and treats upon our return from a day of sightseeing. The personalized touch of having our children’s names beautifully written on the dessert plates was a delightful gesture that made our trip extraordinarily special. The hotel itself was impeccable—clean, serene, and perfectly situated in the heart of the city. We couldn’t recommend The Willard more highly and look forward to returning. But Ali truly made the entire experience top notch!

There’s no doubt that the main foyer and restaurant areas are breathtaking and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. However, the rooms/bathrooms and lobby areas are extremely dated and nowhere near a 5* hotel rating or the high prices. From the dated furniture and carpets in the rooms, to the cheap wallpaper and wooden vanity units in the bathroom and then the strange corrugated panels in the lobby areas which seem like unfinished construction work.. this is just not a 5* hotel.

I expected more from this hotel. First off, the wi fi was terrible, I never experienced this awful connection. At the check out I was told “oh yeah we had some problems, we are sorry”. I am also sorry I paid you close to $1000 for 2 nights and couldn’t even watch a Netflix movie. Then, they wanted to charge me to my room for the breakfast I paid for the day before with my card. Disgusting service and they delayed my check out. The staff was never friendly, nobody smiled in the hallways and nobody said hello. I will not be staying again. Never experienced this with a cheaper Hilton.

The historical atmosphere along with the exquisite finishes, pictures, and stories made this a favorite for us! The restaurants and seating outside had a European feel for us on such a beautiful day. The room was spacious and comforting and we loved it so much that we asked what mattress brand was used. We would go back here anytime. The walking and views were incredible. Full five stars for us!

A superb stay at the iconic and gorgeous The Willard. Our room was appointed very nicely. The bed was comfortable and the hvac kept us comfortable with continuous moving air. The bathroom was very nice with two tiny exceptions - grout and sealer on bath tile was stained and peeling. The gold shower fixture were squirting water around a seal. But the towels were so nice and plentiful. The lighting and mirrow were nice too. The iron worked nicely as did the hair dryer. Carpeting, bed linens, window treatments, wallpaper and paint, all were new appearing.

They never called back Three weeks later: No wedding ring update, no refunds, no compensation beyond points. IHG’s negligent management of this historic property - ignoring health hazards and lost valuables - is unacceptable.

Loved the hotel and room; main problem was breakfast--I called to ask if we needed reservations for breakfast and was told I did not...when we walked up to the restaurant, we were told it would be an hour wait. Our favorite in D.C. I think Cafe du Parc needs to be expanded. The coffee shop area needs to be expanded, including more help. These are minor. The hotel is well worth the price. Restful and old world, without being pretentious.

We had breakfast and dinner at the motel and the manager on duty made us welcome. He remembered our first names as we walked in for two breakfast and two dinners. He was in military as I also served. Check in manager made us welcome and parking garage I took two trips to truck and was helped tremendously. Bell hop gave me information on our plan of touring. Stayed at lot of motels being 70 years old and this place is Best of best and will be back. Thank You!
