Comfort Suites Clearwater - Dunedin

The hotel was in a good location since we spent time in Dunedin and Clearwater. The room/bed were comfortable. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast- the woman who was over keeping everything supplied did a great job. Front desk was great. They don’t supply any body wash, only soap. Weird. The pool was ok- small and not extremely clean. Hot tub was not clean and smelled incredibly of chlorine.

The hotel is awesome! It is five minutrs from the beach. There is a walking path and the bay is across the street. The pool is smaller but hot tub makes it work. It is a great value and service is top notch.

Our room was clean and pretty quiet considering we were bybthe elevator. We had an issue with our tv that was addressed and correctes. Our AC nver got our room cold. The pool is very small and the spa was pool temperature

General manager was rude (perfer not to discuss details), but he needs to tske the Ritz Carlton customer service class. We love the area and the rooms are very nice, but this visit the pool was green. Very disappointing since the weather was warm. Also saw GM smoking right outside the entrance. Not very professional.

Staff extremely helpful and personable. Room nice Gym equipment needs repair. Treadmill not Working and elyptical display not working.

Gym only had 1 treadmill and 1 elliptical.....treadmill was broken and elliptical was in use.

This place was great. Staff and rooms were beautiful and very well clean. My only disappointment was the fitness room. Treadmill didn't work at all. Ellipical has not been maintained and was rusty and hard to move. Ended up doing a workout in our room off of our phones.

The elevator was out of service until December 14 and felt we should have been notified. As per water front building code no lower floor only second and third. Lucky I’m able to climb 2flights of stairs with luggage. Rooms being remodeled and work on my floor started at 7:30

This is normally a nice place to stay. Renovations are going on and you have some u finished halls and rooms being worked on around you. They did not notify us of this until we arrived for our reserved stay. The WiFi was down due to construction in our area of the hotel. We received an updated room that was nice. Good place to stay just a temporary glitch for the construction.

My son found a cockroach under the bed. We notified to front desk and immediately they proceeded to switch us to another room.

Everything was great from the time we arrived. Great hospitality. The room was cleaned daily, towels restocked & they had plenty of shampoo, conditioner and lotion already in the room. Overall a wonderful experience.

There was black mold and dust looking stuff all in the shower and bath area it was very nasty and we had to clean it up I took a picture of that incident as well

The property was in a nice location which allowed me to leave the car at the hotel the following morning and catch an uber to Clearwater beach with my family which saved looking around for parking and having to pay additional charges. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very polite. The breakfast was also very nice. Due to heavy rainfall in the evening, the lift was out of service so had to take the service stairs to get to the room with all the luggage. The only think I need to say was that this area smelled alot. Not sure if the carpet had ever been cleaned but it smelled terrible and very damp. Another guest also said the same thing to me. Aside from this, the room was adequate in size and was very clean.

It is a nice hotel, waterfront and quiet area. But when I got out of the elevator on the third floor the carpet had a humid smell. Then when we were in the room a little dog next door started barking for a while. The beds are confortable and the room is updated and clean, the air conditioner works very well, the room was very cold when we got in there. We were in the room 316, third floor. The breakfast has warm food, and everything we like.

Mold on shower ceiling. Room was nicely decorated but old property and very apparent in elevators.

There were ants in our room.

Nice and quiet neighborhood. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Only negative would be that there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom that we were in, which makes the room smell moldy/musty.

The room had lots of space, large tv screen, and was very comfortable. Breakfast ready at 6AM too. Staff was very friendly and the kids loved the pool!

The ac is cloud and the bed is making a noise also.

First room was nicebut tv was broken, so they relocated us to another room which had a mildew smell and in room AC unit took forever to cool room down.

Spacious room with lots of surfaces to put things on. Very comfortable bed. It was a connecting room so the wall was very unfortunately thin and I could hear very well what was going on next door. Front desk staff was very friendly and nice. Good free breakfast and location is nice (right across street from the bay.) We had to drive to downtown since it was too far to walk.

Very clean and staff friendly. Beds are like sleeping on a metal barrel.

Overall, the room was big and clean. We could hear neighbors talking all nite. The AC was loud and kept us up all night. Recommend a pass

HVAC unit was very loud in my room but all said it was a nice hotel with a large room and is a 15 minute drive from Clearwater beach.

The front desk staff on duty when we checked in was very friendly. I appreciated the smooth process. The manager was very accomodating and made our stay enjoyable.

Quick and easy checkin. Friendly employees. Asked for a late checkout and was granted. (noon) Will visit again in the future.

This hotel was an excellent choice. It was close to downtown Dunedin, close to downtown Clearwater, and that made it easy to reach the beach. It is quiet. The front desk help was superb as well. I highly recommend this hotel if you don't want to stay on the beach with all the commotion that constantly goes on.

Wendy at front desk was friendly, accommodating, went over and beyond making sure our stay was good. Rooms have microwave, frig, coffee maker, shelf with usb to charge cell phone by room door, shower with sliding doors, shampoo on pump bottle attached to wall in shower, alot of outlets to charge electronics, table next to each side of king bed, clock, desk with comfortable chair, couch with pullout bed. Only con was initial room in had odor and door handle in bathroom not working however front desk staff let us change rooms and the room moved into was great and quiet. Trolley stop right in front of property on Edgewater will take you to downtown Dunedin. Nice park across the street you can walk along the water.

My reservation was canceled without any notice. Booked a 4 night stay and it was prepaid. The at least should have called or texted me.

The GM was so wonderful and friendly he is just excellent for the job

we had 2 nights booked here as we were in the area. upon check in, was a sign saying water was off from 11:30 until 1:30 pm, this was after 3 and it still wasn't on. clerk said they were waiting for a part to fix and it would be on in an hour. Lie! we ventured out to return later and was told water was on but no hot water! no internet either as the water problem affected that too. pool closed and locked. asked again about hot water and the manager Brian, said it would be on tomorrow. Lie! I asked other patrons about their experience at this Comfort Suites and everyone said TERRIBLE. no water no communication just excuses. I complained again to Brian the manager and he did discount one night, but really it wasn't worth it. when we returned the second night I was told we could shower on the second floor in the morning before we left. When I went down to see what room to shower in, Brian said he had no rooms available on the second floor to shower in. Lie! He then said he had to go look for a room....what he did was clean a bathroom for us to shower in. I know this because I saw him later when I was leaving and he asked me if I had showered yet as he had to clean it for someone else....Oh and did I mention the all night barking dog next to our waterless room? And the smell of Marijuana in the hallways? This was a horrible experience and the manager is inadequate for the position. Don't stay here!

Nice hotel, right across the street from the bay, just a few miles from Dunedin which has the cutest town, great restaurants and shopping. There is a bridge just a few blocks that takes you over to the island. The hotel was clean, nice comfy beds, good breakfast with waffles, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Would stay there again!

The hotel was clean and beautiful inside, its across from a beautiful walking path. On a busy street so a bit hard to turn in and out of but not impossible.

It has a water view but it is NOT on the beach front. Otherwise it was really nice

Great stay 5 stars. If I had t be picky: breakfast on Sunday morning was sloppy. No fruit, no eggs. Lady didnt seem to give a care. Monday morning was excellent!!! Saw an Osprey poolside!

Clean rooms, good breakfast.

We have stayed at the Comfort Inn a few times and the service has varied. The room its self was very comfortable but the shower handle had opposite water output, with the cold and hot mixed up. Also, the toilet flush was very slow and needed some work. The breakfast was a huge disappointment with no hot breakfast, having to wait a half hour with no apologies. There was 45 minutes left for the breakfast time so no excuses. Also, most of the other foods including apples, grits and oatmeal were missing, these items could be seen in the food prep area but there was a lack of enthusiasm to keep the guests happy. There was not a crowd but we waited with 10 other people for the hot breakfast, finally giving up. The week before when we stayed there the breakfast was fabulous, so I guess you don’t know what to expect. For the price we expected the breakfast and were very disappointed. Management was not real concerned, tried to defend the staff. Didn’t work, will not stay there again.

The staff was friendly. I liked the offering of lemon infused water available. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of food. Our stay was pleasant.

I was a solo traveler I felt completely safe as a single female. I was on the 3rd floor looking at the water I saw beatiful sunsets. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly only complaint is a better shower head. Complimentary breakfast was average but many options to choose from and hot options changed slightly daily. I would recommend this place and would definitely stay again.
