Couldn't have any drinks by the pool. If you wanted a drink on the beach you had to buy it from them. I have NEVER been to a resort that enforced this like they did.

What was unique about this property, is that it just went through hell with the hurricanes. And the place looks amazing. The only thing that we did not like was the dining room that was open had a very limited menu. The other is beach chairs should either be free for guests or half price. But over all we will be back next year with other couples. This will be our vacation spot.

There was a lot of construction going on, on the building. It would have been nice to know that the hotel was under construction. Rooftop restaurant was closed for construction, again would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Room was nice but limited room amenities. No usb charging ports, shower soap never got refilled, in room coffee maker but only 1 cup. Just minor details. Wrist band key entry was very convenient. Staff were very friendly. 2 of the hotel restaurants were not open. Bring your own beach chairs and umbrellas because the private business that rents them charges $30 cash only regardless of what time you rent them. The pool area does not allow any food or beverages and the deck area is very small.

Perfect location on beach with on site restaurants as well as very close to many other restaurants and attractions. The only negative is they do not allow you to take a small coolers to beach as they want to force you to order their drinks and food. Neighboring resorts DO allow their guests to take small coolers so we hung out with friends staying at Margaritaville.

Obviously they've had to work hard just to reopen - kudos for that. Disappointed that the pool still wasn't available for our use even though it looked ready. Need to put in some type of foot rinsing station for coming up from the beach to keep sand out of our room! Also - parking should be free for those staying in the resort - you gigged us for parking and a "resort fee" (even though pool wasn't even open).

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Negatives 1.3 dehumidifiers in our suit, we emptied 2.TV goes blank and a shut off message is displayed when you try to tune to a channel in the guide that’s not available. Multiple times a day. 3. Concessions shut down 6:00 pm or earlier depending on the weather 4. Have a lounge that was under reconstruction along with other places in the resort. Nothing mentioned when booking it was under reconstruction 5. Shower soaps and shampoo in automatic feeds on the shower wall. Smelled old and moldy 6. Closed the pool a few times claiming weather in the area. Margaritaville pool was open. 7. Happy hour was upstairs in the dining room and not in the downstairs bars. What’s up with that? 8. Beach was under water when the tide came in, or the threat of a storm. Margaritaville’s was built up and dry. Site should have informed that the place was still under reconstruction

The only trouble we had was towels and house keeping. Their process is not routine and maybe that was our fault but we had to exchange the exact amount of towels…felt like they were over protective but otherwise the property was a good deal for the price!

The remodel is beautiful. Room was beautiful. Front desk ladies were AMAZING. Cafe was on point. My only quarrel was there was a bandaid in my sons bed when we arrived. New bedsheets arrived promptly. Just not my cup of tea.

Loved being beachfront! The restaurant, Gracie’s Cafe was great for breakfast. Pool was nice but wish it was by the beach. Housekeeping was a disappointment. Our room was cleaned once even though I put the placard out every day but one. We had a ton of trash that had to sit since no one came. Had to call for clean towels and get the two bottles of water promised each day. Also wish boats weren’t allowed to anchor and park in the water. There were a ton of them. Made me not want to get in the water.

Saw a giant cockroach in my room & something bit me while I was in bed? I don’t think it was bedbugs because it was only on my arm and left side, like eight bites altogether. They are TRYING really hard and I can see that, just not executing. There DJ doesn’t know how to “work the crowd” I told one of the security guys this and he say “oh he sure does” I could only laugh, I ran one of the top 10 nightclubs in the USA, the DJ sounded like he was playing for STRIPPERS in a stripclub. And I didn’t like that boats parked right where you wanted to be in the water! Too close to shore IMO. Ok place but needs more POLISHING.

I like that the rooms were nice and clean. The view is amazing I like how it is close to everything. I however didn’t understand why there were no microwaves. In the standard rooms. I feel like that would be a very good thing to have in every room. As well as a broom and dust pan. Being that it is on the beach. My a/c united is very load when coming on. And I feel like the doors should have something on a spring to stop them from slamming from the wind. Also I believe that everyone working here should know the times and rules for the pool and other facilities on property. The first night the guy said the pool closed at 8. But the next night the lady was trying to tell us that the pool was closing at 6:30. However the sign says from dusk till dawn. Other than that it was overall an amazing fun time.

Hotel recently remodeled and room updated and clean. Building is 40+ years old, so maybe that’s why walls are paper thin? I could hear very clearly complete conversations from the guests on each side of my room. Great view of beach from our balcony, and it’s a plus that all rooms face the beach!

Started off Bad . I ask for a room higher level away from the bar and got the room right above the Bar on 1st floor. and Music started at about 4PM and was loud till late. but understood that it is a bar. Also didn't tell me there might be construction noise till I checked in and said a little noise .It was all week. That Started no later than 8AM and went to 3PM !! Saws Drills hammering a lot of noise. Hard to relax on nice balcony and watch the ocean. Should have discounted the suite or I should have moved to another Hotel.. Could have stayed at Margaritaville for same money I paid! Don't know if will stay again. I still hearing it from my wife.

There was a dehumidifier in my room that I had to dump at least twice a day. Wasn’t aware until it beeped that it was full at 3:30 on my first night there. Other than that I love it there.

Staff was friendly at check in but when it was 11:04am we got a rude call saying we need to leave the room right now. It just could’ve been addressed nicer. It was 4 mins past and we were zipping up our suitcases. The remodeled rooms are really nice and the sliding glass door was great at keeping noise out. This resort holds a special place in my heart from trips as a kid and it was great to revisit it. Drink prices were affordable and the overall vibe was friendly and fun. Food and shopping was also very enjoyable

The staff on leaving wrecked our vacation. We asked for a late check and they said ok just ask in the morning. Their was a parade blocking the road and couldn’t get out until 1:00 but we left the room at 11:45 after 6 phone calls and they sent a person at 11:30 to throw us out. Since the road was closed we walked down town and back at 1:30 was met by a 6’6’ lot attendant screaming at us to get our car off the lot. Then the manager called and said she’s going to have my car towed and I said my wife is in the bathroom and I’m just waiting for her. She told me 5 times she’s calling a tow truck and while we’re on the phone my wife came and we left while she was on the phone yelling at me. Then the charged my cc for $50. Do yourself a favor stay away from this place.

Food was excellent, restaurant service excellent, nightly front desk staff was rude, stanfsrd room was nice but the beds were awful and almost on the ground. Weekday music was extremly loud and tasteless and didnt turn off until 10pm every night after the people left and shops were closed.

The staff we're so nice from allowing us to check-in early since our plane arrived early and we were able to easily unpack and go straight out to the beach. There's food and drinks available and a waitress will come out and serve you on the beach. There's a variety of food available at the bottom of the hotel, a pool and you're given two bottles of water daily. The best food and service available in grace's cafe that we ate there 3 times for dinner! There were only two of us that stayed in a single room with two double beds, but everyone has an ocean view with a balcony which I think is terrific. There's live music in the evening and while I didn't bring my family, I did notice that it is family friendly. The location was perfect and I was able to walk from one end of the beach down to the other.

We checked in early with a great desk attendant. When we came back later to pick up our wristbands, the two desk clerks were questioning her and saying they were the only ones who do it right. It just felt unprofessional. I work in retail management and you always want the guests to have confidence in your entire staff, business and how well you have trained your staff. Horrible customer service. Liza, more specifically. Our ac didn’t work the night we checked in so they gave us a box fan. The next day they said they were at max capacity and couldn’t give us another room. Had tonight them for a refund.

We stayed in 4 different rooms during our stay and have enjoyed them all! The staff are AMAZING!! Jera, this girl is a rockstar and is always so friendly and kind… she also contains a wealth of knowledge about the property, surrounding areas, and everything in between! One suggestion I have is to leave a broom in each room for all the sand that comes up from the beach. The beachfront is always super clean and loaded with lots of friendly staff. We went parasailing for the first time and let me tell ya- these people are pros! We’ve been here on a few vacations now and we won’t be stopping now! Thank you Lani Kai for all that you’ve done for my family these past few vacations!

We stayed at Lani for a "staycation" as we live here in Fl. They had remodeled it after the Hurricanes that hit Fort Myers Beach & all their hard work prevailed! The location is directly on water & views are awesome. The restaurant Gracies serves breakfast and it was great, both beachside bars are very nice and have full bar as well as the famous RumRunners & other frozen drinks. The room we had was so well appointed, everything so beautiful & beach vibe. Ours had a microwave, small frig & Keurig, a balcony where I watched the beautiful sunset! The patio doors are almost soundproof & Hurricane resistant - there was music on beach level but I heard none of it, the hotel halls were also very quiet. My husband & I are in our late 60's and we had fun with bartenders & people who rent chairs on beach for a reasonable for the whole day. We loved our choice of place to stay & will go back!

For an older hotel, we found it to be a hidden gem. There was still construction going on but the resort had all the amenities needed. The beach was well kept and the on site restaurant had great happy hour specials including some of the freshest oysters we had in awhile.

Rooms were fantastic, people friendly. Snack shacks need a better menu & cook; everything was over cooked. However the inside restaurant was excellent—the fries are now my all time fav! Location was good-obviously beach access was prime.

I was disappointed the Sun Room was closed, but given the circumstances it was understandable. Breakfast was overpriced for the quality. I got a giant burrito but it was cold inside. Avoid. Bar and food service on the beach bumped up my review by a star. Well done!

We had a very nice experience at the Lani Kai. The front desk staff was very nice & our room was very new & clean. In fact, our room felt like a mini apartment! The only things we didn’t like were the round the clock construction noise, the uncomfortable beds, & the lack of sit down dining facilities inside the hotel. Other than that, it was a great experience!
