Pool closed due to hurricane, otherwise an excellent hotel. The breakfast could be better especially the plastic utensils! They are almost unusable! Rooms were good !

We stayed for 5 nights, 4 days. Overall, stay was great. Very clean - the only thing was we got in late and there was an odor in our room. It eventually went away and the people up front asked if we wanted a different room. The pool was heated which was nice, but there were only 2 chairs to lay out in.

Hotel is new, clean, bed comfortable, & employees very nice. Enjoyed biscuits and gravy every morning, but they have lots of other options including fruit. Coffee available at all times, big plus. Everything worked except the fridge, but that was resolved quickly by them replacing it with another. Would stay again if ever back in the area.

The free breakfast was very good. They had a lot of options. The hotel room was clean and spacious. The pool was clean. The evening employee was not as friendly and helpful as all the other employees. We especially liked the women that worked at the breakfast area. She kept the breakfast foods well stocked at all times. She was very friendly and helpful.

I have stayed in this area numerous times over the past 5 years. This hotel is better than all the rest (clean, newer, etc.) The only issue I have and would request a further review from the hotel's ownership/management is involving access into the building. Parking is minimal at the front of the building with additional parking in the back. There are two doors at the rear of the building and one door on the side of the building. These doors are covered by electronic key entry control. When returning back to the hotel each day at approximately 7:30 these readers are inoperable and I have to walk all the way from the rear of the building to access the front area. I would strongly recommend granting your paying guests access to these doors. I would consider this a liability to your facility should someone encounter any type of crime (theft, sexual assault, etc.) while the doors that are equipped to handle an entrance are not functional. I can understand access restrictions after a certain time (after midnight, lets say) but those doors should be available for use by your guests during a time when many people are coming back to your hotel from dinner as an example.

We have stayed here a couple times before. Love the location. Parking is good and the staff is friendly. Breakfast is good. This time when we got to our room the toilet had splatter of poop in the toilet seat and under the seat. That was our only issue. The pool is small but we didn’t stay here for the pool.

Nice Holiday Inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful when needed. During my week-long stay, there was one noisy night. Otherwise it was very quiet and comfortable. I had some difficulties with the AC, as it cooled the room but did not do well with the humidity. Gym facilities were nice, as was the breakfast. I’d recommend, especially for a shorter stay.

Stayed two nights while visiting Fort Myers. Women at front desk were so friendly and helpful. Gave us recommendations and even came to help check our key outside our room when it wouldn’t work. The hotel and rooms were immaculate! Staff could be seen vacuuming and polishing the elevators and checking the status of the public restroom. Room was fabulous! Lots of hooks to hang our bags. Very comfortable beds, pillows, linens. Super clean! Bathroom was well stocked with Dove products which made it so convenient to not have to unpack all of your toiletries. Location was perfect! Only a few minutes from the causeway and beach. There is a free bus shuttle hub right next door. We didn’t use it but will next visit. Lots of access to grocery stores across the street as well. Fitness room was perfect! Great new equipment and nice selection of weights. Didn’t use the pool but it looked very nice. Small but nice with umbrellas and chairs. Lady serving breakfast was so friendly. You could tell she really cares about her job! Making friends (and recognizing past guests). She went out of her way to share the food options (she mentioned lower sugar, fat, etc). My only complaint for the whole stay was that the breakfast options were lacking some of the standard HIE choices. There were no cinnamon rolls 😞. There was also limited egg options compared to other HIE we have stayed at which usually have scrambled and omelette options which is nice for those who are dairy free.

Hotel in good condition overall. Room looked mostly clean, but clump of hair was on window ledge. Water pressure very low, all times of day. Check in was quick. Check in associate was not unkind, but not friendly. Breakfast is never good at Holiday Inn.

When we made this reservation, we called to confirm that this was a dog friendly hotel. It was also written on their website that it was dog friendly. I was never told that if we brought a dog, we were not allowed to leave them in their kennel in the room. Even though I had clearly put on the reservation I was bringing 2 dogs nothing was said when I called and nothing said at check in. I was not given this information until Saturday. We were told we would be fined a $150 daily even if we were to go to dinner. I spent the first day of my vacation finding a kennel and sitting in my room for my birthday...not happy. Fortunately, I was able to find one and we dropped them off satuday evening and did enjoy the rest of our time at sanibal island. However, when I saw the charge from the hotel, it was significantly higher than I was supposed to pay through hotels.com. When I questioned this, they said they were going to charge for the dogs daily $50, so my bill would come to an extra $200 for the stay. I stated that they knew we had boarded the dogs and she said, well, you brought dogs you get charged for them. I did not find the front staff to be very helpful or friendly at all. We will never stay at this hotel again. however, the waitstaff in the breakfast area were wonderful, the cleaning staff did a great job except for the roach found in our room. Showers, hot but low pressure, bed comfortable had fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, everything worked room itself clean

Hotel very clean. However we had to ask to move rooms , first room had strange smell and felt very damp , the carpet especially. Seemed that the carpet had been cleaned and had not been left to dry adequately. Asked the night time receptionist to change our room and she did this with hardly speaking a word to us . All other receptionists we encountered were very friendly. 2nd room was much better , beds comfy and room clean . Breakfast was nothing special with very poor provision for a gluten free diet , when I asked I got handed a rock hard gluten free bagel.

There was very low water pressure in the shower, I slipped in the shower floor because it was very slippery and the bed was too soft that it sink with two people in the king size bed. Its was a very bad experience for a single night that we needed to rest from a long trip and a late arrival

Nice clean and quiet room and nicest of the hotels we stayed in during our 7 days in Florida. I especially like that the furniture in our room had a built in spot for a suitcase. Buffet was typical and the coffee bar was really nice with freshly ground coffee for each cup.

The room was cozy with just the right amount of furnishing. The air-conditioning was good, and it kept the room quite cool. I especially liked the upgraded features like the energy saving key card that shuts the power off when you are out of the room. I also like the soap dispensing features that cuts down on wastes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, and all other amenities were so very close by. Shopping, the shuttle to the beach and so many others. The location was great. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff was super accommodating as we asked for an early check in after a flight cancel and reschedule. They also let us check out early so we didn’t have to bring our baby to get a new rental car and could allow him to relax. Breakfast was very good with so many options. Would definitely stay again! Attendant at breakfast bar was fantastic. She enjoyed her job, kept everything really clean and was very helpful. When she was not stocking food stations she was zipping around cleaning. Everything we needed was in the room and was clean. The design does not appear luxurious but was great for our needs.

I had a TERRIBLE experience at this hotel! I am a public figure and global leader, and always stay at excellent hotels. I am an IHG Card Member, which influenced my choice to stay at this hotel. I was treated horribly by the front desk agent (Paula), who was disrespectful, emotionally unsafe, and condescending. I have a disability, and requested a little bit of extra time to move out of my room. Not only was I denied accommodations, I was forced to check out before I was ready, and also disrespectfully advised by Paula to “pack my things in the public bathroom.” I chose to pack them in the lobby, which was still a very inconvenient and uncomfortable experience for me. I immediately reported this incident to IHG. I have never had such a terrible experience as I did at this hotel. It was unacceptable and below standard. I am requesting corporate to please immediately address this situation.

First impression not good. Girl at check in very rude and not at all helpful. Almost went somewhere else after this first encounter but this hotel was convenient to a local hospital we needed to be near during our stay. Once we got past that though it got better. The hotel was clean and the room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast bar was good and had nice daily selections. Area appeared like it could be a bit sketchy but we didn’t have any problems there. One day maid service took all our towels when cleaning and never replaced them so we had to go to front desk for new ones.

Great location. If you’re traveling to Ft. Myers for spring testing and a trip or two to the beaches, this is the spot. Walking distance to public transportation (clean, on time, and reasonably priced) to the beach. Quick drive to ballparks. Super clean and breakfast was very good. Will definitely be coming back.

Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful This is close to the trolley station that takes you to the heart of Fort Myers beach. Breakfast was ok. My daughter loved the pancakes but the eggs and sausages were tasteless and sausage like cardboard.
