Our room had a great mattress, bathroom and size for a King Bed. The artwork throughout this property makes it so enjoyable to walk thru whether on your floor or even using a stairwell to the Lobby. Having a starbucks in the lobby was a bonus. Didn't care for the pool since it was 3.5" so kind of an oversized kids pool. Jacuzzi and work out room was solid.

The property was nice but we could not figure out where to park. We drove around for 40 minutes only to find out they have valet parking only. There is no self parking and that is an additional $39 per night! I believe with the price to stay at this hotel it should be included. The pictures shown to advertise this facility are deceiving. The picture of the pool is actually at the Serenata Beach Club located 15 minutes away. It is a pretty hotel within walking distance of several locations and shopping. The staff at Casa Monica are super friendly.

This Historic Hotel is in a great location and the pool is quite nice. We only wished we had been able to go to the beach club which happened to be closed because of the hurricane damage.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It was the most cleanest hotel I have ever patroned. I don’t know how they got their grout this clean in the bathroom! The towels were fluffy, beds comfy, extra pillows, robes to use, beautiful accommodations & top notch service. Perfect location to all the things!

Staff excellent. Property beautiful. Not maintained well. Curtains in room were torn & glass tops of furniture had food smears & finger prints. Tops & inside of lamps were horribly full of layers of dust & dirt & Spanish lamp in corner hadn’t been cleaned in years. Ceiling fan was dirty & carpet on edges was dark and dirty so u could tell it wasn’t vacuumed around perimeter ever. Such a shame for such a beautiful place. Staff was incredible.

My wife and I could not wait to stay at this historic hotel. Although it was $700 a night, we wanted to treat ourselves. We stayed two nights with a noisy air conditioner that made you wonder if that was mold or just dirt hanging on it. We went out for the day anticipating maid service with fresh white towels only to discover that we did not receive room service. We hurried to find a maid to get fresh towels, etc. She was helpful and kind. The bed alone had a red velvet headboard with two intimidating body mark impressions left from prior guests. The room definitely could use remodeling. Remember, we paid $700 a night for what we would describe as a three star rated hotel. It was immensely disappointing! One plus for the hotel was that the staff was very helpful and nice.

Great location within walking distance from historic downtown. Everyone was very courteous and friendly. Rooms were clean. Wifi was not as strong, signal would come and go. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again.

We really liked this property for its location and historic part of St. Augustine. The one (huge) draw back to our stay was the incredibly LOUD HVAC system in our upgraded room. It was like a freight train coming through in the middle of the night. Unfortunately when I told the front desk at check out, they were nonplussed. Not the response

Very nice hotel. Would not visit during the holidays unless you like crowds. The location can’t be beat, it’s right in the middle of everything. It had the usual noise in the hallways at night, and I had forgotten to take earplugs. Hey everybody, did you know that it is actually possible to close the door to a hotel room without letting it slam ? Also, did you know that talking quietly in the hallway is respectful to other guests? The room was beautiful, very clean and had an amazing view. We didn’t get the exact room that we booked, so you may want to be careful about that. We were there during the holidays and the bar, restaurant, and lobby were so crowded with people off of the street who were not staying at the hotel, that we couldn’t use any of those amenities . Same goes for the Starbucks, the line was out the door. Couldn’t get room service either, and after looking at the menu, wouldn’t want to. It’s a bit of a problem that the rooms are so expensive, yet the guests do not have any private amenities. The solution to that would be to have a private restaurant, bar, quiet spaces, accessible to hotel guests only. I think they might find it would work out well for everyone.

One night stay on our nomad adventure heading north. The hotel was comfortable and convenient to walking the old city. Rooms were basic, no refrigerator. We were only bere for one night so we did not pursue getting one. Rooms are not sound proof so you can hear everything in the hallways and if yoi are walking the halls you can hear whats going on in the guests rooms

We stayed 3 nights. The hotel is perfectly located and near the old town, Flagler University, shopping, dining, etc. Very convenient for sure. The restaurant in the hotel was surprisingly VERY good (spoiler alert - save room for the bread pudding desert!). Bar was equally good and welcoming, lobby was comfortable and inviting. The hotel itself is nice - not great but not bad either. Kind of almost what you would expect for an Autograph level Marriot. Could use updating though. Pool and hottub worked well and while in need of tile and coping repair, nothing major. The staff were courteous and helpful for the most part (though the car~valet stood there watching me empty the car and didn't do anything) but otherwise all staff were great. Check in was a breeze as was checkout. Our only complaint was the room decor. I get that the 'theme' is old world Spain, but - well - ugh. Our room itself was spacious though the settee had an odd stain (actually 2) that still haunts me, and the crushed red velvet headboard was dusty (and dare I say, passe). The bedside lamp cords were strung in a way that exposed them to the mattress surface and could not be tucked away, the sheets were meh and the bathroom in need of a plumber (sink clogged, slow drains, lousy pressure). They need updating. No microwave, but at least a drip coffee maker for the first cup of the day. Walls were thin and one night we did hear immense amounts of loud noises from next door until almost midnight.

Beautiful rooms with nice views. Breakfast was great and service was good. The only complaint was difficulty connecting to wifi. The night manager was able to finally resolve the issue. Overall a great place to stay.

Our check-in experience was not good. Hard to find the valet check-in, had no choice but to use valet services, was asked by text to tip the valet I was required to use, the valet check-in attendant was not clear about how the precedure went, how to get our bags to the room, had to take a picture of the valet ticket as no hard copy was given to me, no bell service was available at check in time at about 10:30PM. Everyone was very friendly, but the whole valet/check-in service seemed very chaotic and unorganized. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable, the decor and artwork of the hotel are beautiful, and convenience to Old St. Augustine was perfect. Housekeeping staff was very accomodating, servicing our room late in the afternoon despite accidentally leaving the do not disturb sign on the door earlier in the day. Bed was made and towels swapped out daily without requiring our prompting, unlike many hotels post-COVID.

Had an issue at check in. They offered me a room upgrade and said 1.5 hours. I could have take. My original room at check in. Left to shop. They never called me to inform me of My room being ready. When I came back they told me they couldn’t do the upgrade. I was upset since they never called me. Took 30 minutes for them to work it out. Offered me comp resort fees and still charged me.

After a long drive from Ohio, we arrived at Casa Monica Resort and Spa. Our room wasn’t ready so we sat in n the lobby and waited. It was approx. 40 minutes after check in time and still no phone call. Received a text message asking if my room met my expectations but I was still in the lobby and hadn’t been assigned a room yet.

Checkin was horrible. They couldn’t seem to process my card till manager came, which went on for at least 10 minutes. AC in room was not working, so they sent ‘technician” to fix it. Stayed working long enough to go to sleep. At 1;30am, it was broken again. Front desk wouldn’t answer when I called down multiple times. At 2:48 am I went downstairs to front desk to try to get someone to fix AC again. They said “phone system must not be working, technician is gone”. Moving rooms was not an option at 3am with my wife asleep, until 4 am when she woke because it was so hot. Decided to take cold shower, but could not even get ready in the room because it was so hot. Everything about our 15 year wedding anniversary was perfect, except for this hot hotel room, and poor check in experience. They should absolutely refund the room and $5 water incidentals since they were unable to provide a room with working amenities like air conditioning.

St Augustine needs to address the homeless situation. As a single female I felt hesitant, unsafe and turned-off by the overwhelming smell of urine in the parks, with men lying on benches and in the streets, approaching for handouts. It was unnerving. I won't go back.

This hotel is in need of a makeover. Rooms were super clean, but felt like they were stuck in the ‘80s. We ate the first night in the bar and the food was just OK. We had to send back 2 dishes. That was a disappointment, especially for what they charge. Service was excellent, from the front desk to the valet guys.

The staff was extremely friendly. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The menus were limited due to renovations but even with that they made it work. Would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay here again .

It is a gem in the middle of the city. Close to everything, walkable and very convenient. A bit expensive compared to other similar hotels but worth it. There is a restaurant in the hotel but during high season it is almost impossible to get a table. You have to resort to room service.
