The front desk was frequently left unattended making it difficult to request assistance or address issues. The elevator was out of order the entire time. We are senior citizens and had to lug our bags up the stairs. No offers were made to assist us with portage. The housekeeping was haphazard at best and the area smelled of cannabis. The room was shabby and needs refurbishing. The breakfast buffet had little selection and the bananas were actually brown and mushy. It was disappointing to say the least.
The front desk was frequently left unattended making it difficult to request assistance or address issues. The elevator was out of order the entire time. We are senior citizens and had to lug our bags up the stairs. No offers were made to assist us with portage. The housekeeping was haphazard at best and the area smelled of cannabis. The room was shabby and needs refurbishing. The breakfast buffet had little selection and the bananas were actually brown and mushy. It was disappointing to say the least.

Elevators where broken since the last Hurricane. (September) it is Feb 28. Booked a handicap accessible room... that wasn't and the room they gave us was on the 4th floor... again with no elevators. Wyndham should be utterly embarrassed by this facility. Perhaps that is why there is no sign on the street. Negative stars if I could give them. Expedia also said the hotel charge was unrefundable... even when what we booked wasn't available. Never EVER book a hotel through Expedia. EVER!!!! Always go direct. The middleman isn't really interested in your trip, just your money.

Nice little La Quinta hotel only five minutes from downtown...super friendly front desk staff, very clean, free parking, breakfast buffet included and updated rooms. I highly recommend this hotel if you want a nice place to stay with affordable prices near downtown Sarasota!

The stay was alright but they are renovating which has it's problems, like an out of service elevator (you can get a little exercise if on the 4th floor like I was). The bathtub wasn't too nice either, good thing I had my flip flops

This had to be the worst property I have ever checked into. It was absolutely disgusting. The first room not only was dirty but the refrigerator wasn’t working so I changed rooms. The second room was filthy dirty, mold in rooms, drawings on bathroom wall, looked like blood stains on the carpet, a hole in the wall. The hallway paint was chipping away, my daughter said it reminded her of a hallway from a horror movie, was pretty scary. It was so bad that I didn’t touch a thing and I checked out immediately and didn’t stay there at all. The people at the front desk were nice enough, but the property itself is horrible. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Room was adequate but small flatscreen, wall thermostant cracked and broken and generally seemed like an older renovation had taken place. Bed was comfortable as were pillows. Generally not a value.

This is an old hotel that is in desperate need of a renovation. First, the elevator was not working, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs to the 2nd floor. Second, the heater was noisy and air quality was stagnant. Third, carpet was very old and needed to be replaced throughout the hotel. Fourth, during Check-In, the hotel computer system was very slow resulting in a long time to get our room key. Fifth, the internet service was very slow. Would not stay in this hotel again.

The staff were all friendly, pleasant, and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't live up to the high level of the staff. The elevator was broken, so we had to lug our bags up to the third floor. It was fixed the second day of our stay. Our room was substandard. The bed was lumpy, uncomfortable, and sagged. The carpet had rips and stains. In the bathroom the toilet paper holder was broken away from the wall. The valve on the tub that controls the shower was frozen open, so half the water came out of the showerhead and half out of the tub faucet. The showerhead was also frozen in place, so it was impossible to adjust it to easily stand underneath the meager water flow. The refrigerator had no temperature control, so the water we put in froze by the morning. The room temperature control was noisy and didn't work well, so the room was either freezing or stuffy and warm. Breakfast was pretty good and the staff kept it well-stocked. There were very few outlets in the room, and no outlets for charging electronic devices. We would not recommend this hotel.

Stayed here because it was cheap and a good location. The first room I got faced the main road and was much too loud. I had to pay extra for a room on the rear. They have really old noisy air conditioning units that I had to turn off to sleep. Clean but very shabby. Staff were nice and friendly.

Room was good Ac unit leaked water into the room. So carpet was wetby the unit.we worked around it. We were there for 3 nights. Morning breakfast was ok. One annoyance. Both milk dispensers were broken. When bought to their attention, they just swapped it for another broke dispenser.

We arrived at 11pm tired from a long day of travel and waited for a half hour for someone to show up to the front desk so we could check in and get some sleep for an early morning meeting. A lady arrived for work 1/2 hour late and didn’t apologize for the inconvenience. She made her way to the desk, set her purse down then proceeded to make it our problem that we showed up at 11 at night. Never mind we had a flight that just got in. We called the hotel but the front desk phone rang and rang. We couldn’t reach anyone at Expedia for help either. My fiancé is in the hotel business and had never experienced anything like it. He would have fired the woman in the spot. She was also rubbing her stuffed nose with her bare hand after giving us our key. Gross.

My stay at your hotel was absolutely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about safety, cleanliness, and professionalism. Upon arrival, I was given a room key—only to walk in and find the room already occupied. This is a stunning breach of privacy and security, and it’s inexcusable. The rest of the stay only reinforced how poorly this property is managed. The carpets were filthy, the air smelled of mildew, and the room I was eventually assigned had stained linens and visible signs of neglect. It was clear no one here takes pride in the condition of the hotel. Worse still was the behavior of the staff—apathetic, dismissive, and in one case, outright rude. Requests for assistance were treated as interruptions, and there was a clear lack of basic courtesy or training. This hotel is in deplorable condition, and the management appears either unaware or uninterested. I would never recommend this property to anyone, and I suggest corporate leadership investigate before more guests are put through similar experiences—or worse.

I never write reviews, but this was so terrible I had to. We were scheduled to get to the hotel after our flight around 11:00pm. I called ahead to tell the hotel and they assured me that was fine and my room would be waiting. We got to the hotel as planned to find no one at the front desk. I called repeatedly but had to wait 50 minutes with two exhausted little kids just for someone to get to the front desk to check us in. Then they told us our room with two queens was gone, but they could offer me a king with a pull out couch. The pull out couch was a twin pull out and was terrible stained. They also had no blankets to offer for that bed. So I was forced to sleep on a heavily stained twin pull out with no blankets. We were able to switch rooms the next day to at least have a bed I fit on but there was no apology ever made or anything done to try and correct the horrible wait or not having our room that was actually big enough to hold our family.

Things like rusty lamps and stained sinks could easily be replaced. The night time front desk clerk, Fernando, was the worst. Rude. Unaccommodating. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel. Hotel and room very clean, staff friendly and helpful, and overall quiet. Easy parking. My only issue this stay was the room across the hall had did that barked constantly for the first 2-3 days of our stay. However, i did not make hotel staff aware of or complain-so that is on me not the hotel. Overall good location -since there are so many beaches in the area, it was very easy access. Very easy drive to Siesta key, Lido beach, and access to the other keys as the Ringling bridge is 2 miles away.

This hotel is conveniently located. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed the complementary breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean. However it was a bit outdated. It could use with a bit of an upgrade for the furniture, carpet, beds, etc.. It is a good value for the price. The most annoying thing, however, was at the elevator was out during my entire stay with no sign of it being fixed. Overall, I would rate the hotel average. It is definitely good for a short stay, and it is in a very good location.

The staff were all friendly, pleasant, and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't live up to the high level of the staff. The elevator was broken, so we had to lug our bags up to the third floor. It was fixed the second day of our stay. Our room was substandard. The bed was lumpy, uncomfortable, and sagged. The carpet had rips and stains. In the bathroom the toilet paper holder was broken away from the wall. The valve on the tub that controls the shower was frozen open, so half the water came out of the showerhead and half out of the tub faucet. The showerhead was also frozen in place, so it was impossible to adjust it to easily stand underneath the meager water flow. The refrigerator had no temperature control, so the water we put in froze by the morning. The room temperature control was noisy and didn't work well, so the room was either freezing or stuffy and warm. Breakfast was pretty good and the staff kept it well-stocked. There were very few outlets in the room, and no outlets for charging electronic devices. We would not recommend this hotel.
